The videos that Yeti produce make me want to go and explore things much like this river. If you never explore, you'll never find the untouched. Great video yet again!! They always inspire me.
But unfortunately, wonderful videos like this or articles then lead to a crowded place years from now...I've seen it in Wyoming and Alaska time and time again.
I think Alvin could use a little more screen time in our internet outdoor adventures, between his episode on Das Boot and this little gem, he really strikes me as a guy that gets it. I will definitely look for more of him.
Alvin's smile and laughter is infectious! What a great video....he tells the story of this place so well I want to pack up and head there tomorrow morning! lol.
Most uplifting in numerous ways. This makes me feel relaxed in regard to the future of USA, activities like this never make headlines, like the river, it just flows into the course nature offers it.
Awesome stuff!!! I've Kayaked, camped and fished all over, but never met as many people that I connected instantly with as I did in Texas. I need to go back soon.
Love Yeti. Love all these American Stories and heritage-would be amazing to see you use more of the roto-molding factories here in the USA and less in China and the philipines. Seems like your margins would support 100% USA manufacturing.....amazing work though. THE best content marketing in consumer goods hands down. Inspiring.
I just stumbled onto this channel… You guys make tremendous Contant such soulful stories amazing production value, great editing, really happy forget that you guys are manufacturers of coolers! You should make longer form documentaries
Those hills and buttes are limestone laid down 100mya when the sea covered much of south Texas. Eventually tectonic forces lifted up the sea bed and exposed it, and the shoreline eventually wound up where it is now, on the Gulf of Mexico.
I take living in Canada for granted. lm lucky to be living in a town where thousands of fisherman flock every summer to catch walleye and navigate our beautiful waters.
they made it sound like you have to drive through miles of desert trails to get there. the 90 freeway takes you there and even crosses it. and there is a town called lake view right next to it.
HWY 90 crosses the Pecos not the Devil's. Lake view is on Lake Amistad. That's about 40 miles down river and across the lake from where we were. Google is your friend.
Comstock is the town next to it. You take a right on 90 in Comstock and takes you to Bakers Crossing which is the drop off. LakeView isn't a town, it's a subdivision of Del Rio in county. I live in the area lol. It's not that it's far from anything, but most of it is not accessible because it is almost entirely private land which makes it so prestine and untouched. It has a few state park camping areas, but that's it.
At the beginning, it looked like there was two cords coming off the front of the kayak while they were going down a shoal. Was that just to make sure they followed a certain line for the camera footage? Or did it serve another purpose?
No, put in up river, take out miles down. There are 2 put in options and 2 take out options. The whole navigable length from Baker's Crossing to Rough Canyon on Lake Amistad is 47.7 miles. This 4 day trip used to be the only option until the state opened 2 natural areas about 1/3 and 2/3 of the way. One of the more tiring aspects of going all the way to Amistad is the frequent head winds you have to paddle against once you reach the still water.
If you haven't fished with Alvin Dedeaux you have no idea what you're missing. Alvin is a gentleman, fun to be around and he makes sure that the time you spend fishing with him is something to tell your friends about. I had a great time fishing with him! www.alvindedeaux.com/
Legendary algorithm here suggesting the Kanye Fishstick joke because apparently the writers came up with it while viewing a salmon ladder on a "South Park Retreat"
This channel is extremely underrated
Nope
Its actual trash !
It’s because Yeti is extremely overrated.
I drove 3,600 miles round trip with gear in two in 2012 to fish the Devil's River with three fellow kayak anglers. It was worth EVER dang mile!!!!

Dave Cannon oh well, deal with it

Most uplifting in numerous ways. This makes me feel relaxed in regard to the future of USA, activities like this never make headlines, like the river, it just flows into the course nature offers it.
These "YETI Presents" are awesome. Every one of them conveys the love for the things I do outdoors. Much love YETI.
These vids are so amazing...having grown up not far from the Devils I can attest this is a special place!
Awesome stuff!!! I've Kayaked, camped and fished all over, but never met as many people that I connected instantly with as I did in Texas. I need to go back soon.
My family owns 600 acres on the most beautiful part of the river. It’s the most amazing place to be.
hillary hunter oh my i am jealous!
Headed there in April. Devils River State Natural Area

Love these YETI videos. But I love RTIC products
I have recently discovered the Yeti channel and its videos. All have been excellent. Thanks.

This video gives me the chills
Yes...like a twin spirit blowing straight through you moving you farther away from civilization, deeper into the wilderness away from everyone!
This is on my bucket list of fishing.
I love this river
YETI you really know how to film a video. Always amazing to watch !
So cool. I'm going fish The Devils before I die
My friend & I wanna do this river trail. Maybe in like a few years or so. But this video is sweet to look at right now
Another well done video by Yeti. I've just discovered these and watched 5 in a row.
Those hills and buttes are limestone laid down 100mya when the sea covered much of south Texas. Eventually tectonic forces lifted up the sea bed and exposed it, and the shoreline eventually wound up where it is now, on the Gulf of Mexico.
Yeti, you guys have been messing up. These mini docs are as quality as your coolers. It's been seven months! I need more!
Amazing
Chris, I love your work bro. Keep it up. Come back to Michigan soon, Lake Huron smallmouth are only getting bigger, feasting on gobies.

Sweet video, thanks. God bless Texas
Need to add this to my bucket list!

I love Alvin
Love you too!
awesome video wish i was there
Wish these videos were longer.
This video was so amazing I subscribed
Great Video!
That's a nice adventure 👍
Beauty! Yup, the downside of privatization!! Here in NZ all rivers and riverbeds are public land and cannot be owned privately.
The river and riverbeds are public but the shoreline is private. That is why it is so hard to get to. They made it sound confusing in the video!
river bed is private above Bakers Crossing
Henning Radasewski that’s just a awesome thing to hear!

Solid short film boys. See ya at FFFT '17
quit your competitions and pick up a fly rod bro
fantastic videos!
Add to my shortlist

can you be more specific on where in the video you're talking about?
CallsignSLEEPY 2:12
if you're talking about the white/red rope, then it's for holding onto the kayak while walking it down some rapids like at 2:23
Liked and subscribed! Awesome!
Sometimes to find something in life you have to get lost. What more could you ask for then to fish in the middle of nowhere.
WOOOH !!! Love it ! It's a dream ! ;)
How do they get back to their vehicle ? Paddle back against the current ?
Usually, they'll have a pickup point however many miles down the river.
No, put in up river, take out miles down. There are 2 put in options and 2 take out options. The whole navigable length from Baker's Crossing to Rough Canyon on Lake Amistad is 47.7 miles. I wanna go there
I need to go
What kayak was that guide using?
Anyone know what brand or models the kayaks were?
Is the music in the background a published song? If so, what is it called?
What interior rod rack is he using?
That is a really old version of the rod loft.
That was cool. Sub’d
Amazing cinematography but i'm still buying an Rtic.
Any permits needed to do this?
And when y’all were camping was it free or did it make y’all pay, because I’m am very interested in this and also planning a trip there.
