  • 2015 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS | Italy v Russia | Men's Foil Fencing Team Final
Team Italy is the reigning Olympic Champions from 2004 Athens Olympics. Baldini was not on the team at that event.
Salvatore Sanzo is the 2001 and (future) 2005 Individual World Champion, as well as 2004 Olympic Individual Silver Medalist and (future) 2008 Olympics Individual Bronze Medalist.
Simone Vanni was the 2002 Individual World Champion and 2003 Individual Silver Medalist.
Andrea Cassara was the 2004 Olympic Individual Bronze Medalist and later become one of the most accomplished fencer of his time, becoming Individual (2011) and multiple Team World Champion (2008, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018) and World Number 1 rankings. Baldini would also win the Individual World Championships in 2009 and Silver Medals in 2006 and 2007 and Team World Champion in 2008, 2009, 2013, and 2015. Baldini and Cassara would be among the Italian team that wins the 2012 Olympic Games.
I do not know about this team Russia. Artem Sedov and Andrei Deev are Individual World Championships Bronze Medalists from 2009 and 2005. Deev would lose his World Championships Semifinal to Sanzo in Leipzig, and Sedov would lose in the semifinals of the 2009 Antalya World Championships to Baldini.

*To avoid being very confused: at this event, if there is a left-hander v right-hander match, the left-hander will start on the left side of the piste and right-hander on the right side. This means that while Italy starts on the right side and Russia on the left, during the bouts 3, 4, and 8, Italy is on the left side of the piste and Russia is on the right - this is because Baldini and Cassara are both left-handed.
