I heard this live for the first time with at VMEA this past November with Omar Thomas himself conducting the JMU Wind Symphony as a closer and this piece lays EVERYTHING on the stage for you to just take in, all the dirty, grit, groove, timbres that aren't very common in a wind band setting. Awesome piece of music!
To this day I can’t believe all four of their selections got a standing ovation. Pines of Rome, of course, immediate standing ovation but the mid concert pieces. They were outstanding to say the least
Omar Thomas is the 🐐. I’m astounded by every piece of his so far. He’s a musical genius for our time
this piece slaps to a disgusting level and I absolutely love it
Straight thugging
