    Great tip on moving the forward and aft pieces AWAY from center to install center logo'd cover. I just installed this header a couple days ago and could've used that tip. Yes, it did scratch the other covers, but I was able to move them closer to cover the scratches. BTW, when making a comparison, ensure it is an apples to apples comparison. Both D&D/Rinehart headers you showed were chrome finish, not black... Would've been nice to see how those other guys do black pipes.

    Are these the headers that have new catalytic chamber? Is there a way to remove catalytic chamber from the v&h pcx? I have a 2016 Road King

      This is an older video where the pipe doesn't have catalytic converters in it. I haven't looked at a newer Vance & Hines pipe to see how easy or hard they would be to remove. We don't sell much of the Vance Hines anymore. We mainly sell D&D pipes that don't come with them.

    Damn, wished I had seen this before picking my exhaust. I got the power duals. Love the sound and performance of them but never thought of the issues you pointed out. Makes sense.

    LOL thanks for the mention. I don't fully disagree and the middle shield is a bad design. I managed to install mine without scratches but I'm sure not everyone will. I still enjoyed your video even though it was a bash on my fav head pipe. Haha

    Measure your mufflers during installation, i feel kinda stupid not figuring that one out on my own. Thank you for that tip! I'm not going that direction, I have a M8 and I think ill go with S&S mk45. Slip on at first, later when I do my stage 4 the rest.

    What is your thoughts on Fullsac headers?

    • @HarleyDavidsonWizard
      @HarleyDavidsonWizard  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've used probably a dozen of them and never had a problem with them. Ive only used the 2009-2016 twin cam headers tho. Personally, I like how they have both sizes of O2 sensors for normal narrow bands and large O2s for tuning or aftermarket tuners. The stock heat shield fit pretty good on the full sack but they still fit better on the oem header. The D&D 2-1 is always my recommendation. Even tho that wasn't your question. The D&D shields and chrome fit better and last better than everyone's else's product in my opinion. And it performs great. And the D&D comes with both O2 sensors sizes in the pipe. The full sack performed well also with good slipons.

      @@HarleyDavidsonWizard thanks for the quick reply. I have a 2011 street glide 103 that is fully stock. I just ordered the S&S stealth intake breather and and now I’m thinking about an exhaust. I preferably like 2-2. So in your opinion, D&D is the way to go. In your opinion, what would be a good combination of adding cam and exhaust. And I don’t want to mess with the heads. My bike has only 6800 miles on it.

      th-cam.com/video/UHlkkPR3XSY/w-d-xo.html. This is a link to a tman cam 555 that we would do in 103 twin cam. It works fantastic with stock heads and pistons ect. Just do the cam and exhaust and aircleaner and tune. And it's a great setup. If in the future you wanted to add compression and do head work the same 555 cam still works great. I've installed probably 50+ of these and is a great setup. Additional low and mid torque helps that ultra feel much lighter and it runs up top too. T-man cams are deighn so the valve train is quieter compared to other cam manufactures. Ive never had 1 customer complain or regret doing the T man 555. It's a great mild cam so it's manners are great. People mess up getting wild with cams and going to aggressive, it ruins low speed smoothness and drive ability. Where that's not a problem with the tman 555. D&D makes a "false" left pipe so the bike still has the "dual exhaust" look. Ive done the 555 with the full sack and many 555s with the D&D and the D&D always runs and rides alittle better (regardless of cam). In my opinion.

      @@HarleyDavidsonWizard I just looked into the D&D website and as far as 2:1 they have few different model. there is the Boss Boarzilla, Boss Fat Cat, and Diablo Gato. Is there one that you have used and prefer. I like the sound to be deep not just loud. I'm sorry I know that I'm asking a lot of questions but I have been watching your videos and I want to make the right choice. Thank you!

    • @HarleyDavidsonWizard
      @HarleyDavidsonWizard  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You want the boss fat cat with the (perforated wrapped) baffle. danddexhaust.com/harley/touring/2009-2016-Harley-Touring-Boss-Fat-Cat this is the link. Ive only ever had one person want the quiest baffle (It negatively changes the sound of pipe in my opinion) 98% of people get the perforated wrapped baffle, and it sounds awesome but isn't too much. Perforated baffle = blow your ears out and your friends 100 AMERICA!!. Its raspy and snarls and no chance of hearing your speakers.

    I originally ran the bassani roadrage but it would scrap way to easy on the right side. My tuner recommend the D&D FC which I purchased after . And now I am looking for a BOARZILLA for my next build

      D&D !!!
      "Xpipe" front sheild also heavily gouged my CVO floorboard mount. I think they now provide an outward spacer for floorboard?

    Awesome videos wanted to get your opinion on the Khrome Werks exhaust as far as sound and build quality TIA.

    • @HarleyDavidsonWizard
      @HarleyDavidsonWizard  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have any experience with the khrome works but will 100% recommend the Rinehart slimline duals. Its a super easy pipe to install, the heat shields come preinstalled, o2 sensors are in a reasonable location and makes great power regardless of engine build.

    Public service announcement???
    You said ghetto way to many times for the best exhaust company in the world.
    Not to mention the power duals are the best selling headers in the world.And when it comes to water damaging the exhaust
    Is just bullshit. Keep the engine running for 5 min and all water evaporates from heat.

      They make good power, had a few to break the ring off that is spot welded on for the flange to catch to pull up into the head.

    Good heads-up on the V&H Power Duals, not that I'd consider them anyways as they're an ugly design IMO.
    Wondering if you have installed either the S&S Sidewinder 2 into 1 or the Cobra El Diablo 2 into 1 on any M8 touring bikes?

    • @HarleyDavidsonWizard
      @HarleyDavidsonWizard  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I literally just installed the S&S sidewinder 2-1 on a street glide Saturday, I didn't make a vid of it as the customers going directly to Florida and thins I video I like to have ample time to feel out its quality. I will tell you, I was really impressed with its heat-shield quality, they are thick and fit very well. but the directions suck and I had to look at youtube vid to clarify that the supplied "transmission mount looking bracket" wasn't a a trans mount at all. For a EPA legal pipe with a catalytic converter, I liked it.

      @@HarleyDavidsonWizard Thanks for the feedback, Wiz. S&S also makes a catless version of that pipe so that's the one I'd get. I'm doing Stage 2 on my '18 Street Glide with S&S 465C cam, their HP lifters, tappet cuffs and Stealth air cleaner.
