I literally just realized the tweet said January because the topic was January 6th… wow Secret Scholars Merch coming soon to Patreon: www.patreon.com/Secret_Scholars
Its funny because Destiny is obsessed with Jan 6th so im surprised you didnt realize that. He ignores everything his side does but Jan 6th is his smoking gun.
It's okay Warren, January 6th lives rent free in the left's collective head. You can be forgiven for thinking there are more important things affecting our country.
Trent Horn used this against Destiny in a debate they had. Destiny affirmed and OK'ed Trent's question (paraphrasing): so if hypothetically it were possible to create a baby with no consciousness, you would be OK with people using that baby as a kind of sex doll?
Be honest, what really bothers you is the facts that you can't refute. You don't have to listen, just remember that facts don't care about your feelings.
Seriously, it’s refreshing to hear someone updating their beliefs to new information, it’s the only way to grow. See the other comments refusing to even engage with the subject matter bc they don’t like the person it’s coming from. That’s exactly what they are lambasting the left for with all this TDS stuff, this video even references these types of people “maybe it’s that his administration is doing unprecedented things that necessitate the extra harsh coverage” paraphrasing a bit but like seriously how do we reach these people. Hopefully teaching people to question and challenge their own beliefs will one day break them out of this mess. Trump will surround himself with more loyalists than last time and he will try to break the system again and with the recent Supreme Court ruling the safety nets that held last time will not hold again.
@@TheNiceGuy224 “maybe it’s that his administration is doing unprecedented things that necessitate the extra harsh coverage” But they didn't and aren't. And I'm really getting tired of the system blaming everything but itself. It's time the government got downsized and restricted hard. It would even be nice for some bureaucrats to face real justice. Too late now. Could have had this conversation 8 years ago but instead you forced people's hands and allowed authoritarianism on your side. The conversation now is just a desperate attempt now that you realize you're having to eat your leftovers for breakfast. Hey, Lincoln arrested journalists and newspaper editors. @@zootsoot2006 nah I don't think he is. He seems to legitimately realize with factual evidence destiny gave him that trump isn't who conservatives think he is.
For me, I try to focus on policy and what direction I want the country to point to, I try not to focus on personality traits. Political parties want us to focus on personality, to vote in a reactionary, immediate and emotional way.
Most countries in Europe, like my own country, don't really have any political parties who want a free market. We really just have the choice between socialism, and slightly less socialism.
The "it's his own guy..." Comments drive me nuts. Do these people think presidents appoint best friends to all these positions? No. Trump didn't know half those people, he was told/recommended them by other people. Which is a mistake he said he will not make again. You are spot on Bud. I'm so glad I found your channel.
Having been a journalist for many years reporting on the union movement which is pretty much the Labor Party here in Aus, I can tell you most of the calls giving us dirt on politicians or union leaders came from their own office, often the next desk, as they wanted their job. It’s a dog eat dog world with very little loyalty. Your own people will be the first ones to turn on you. Also William you gave way too much ground to them from what I saw in this clip
I've said a similar thing to my Christian friend ( as a Christian myself ): If an Atheist is an expert at fixing cars, at doing a good job on my car, not overcharging me, and a Christian mechanic is mediocre at his job, not as good as the Atheist, doesn't overcharge, both are professional and courteous, do we HAVE to give the Christian our business? Everyone's free to choose ( who knows, maybe the Christian is going through hard times and needs the money, so support him, depending on how important the problem/repair is ), but why not give the Atheist my business?
Yeah, but in this instance the one who "fixes" your car is only able to get your business because he keeps attempting to sabotage the other mechanic's shop by stealing parts, lighting oil on fire, etc. Look I lean conservative, but once someone openly tries to circumvent the political process it's over for them. Send a clear message, don't vote for Trump, and get the party back on track. We'll have to eat shit for 4 years under Kamala oh well
@@matityaloran9157the past 3 years of Biden being if office proves your point exactly. They sell to the public the great things they will do and then completely screw us over when they get in.
Warren speaks with the same common sense that resonates with a lot of people. It has to do with being able to identify injustices and double standards.
3:33 "buying into an ideology". Jordan Peterson has mentioned that and called it Ideological Possession. It is a Jungian concept where Jung believed that ideas have people.
Yeah, we see more and more of it these days. Which of these labels do you fit into? Race, ethnicity, political leaning, religion, sexuality, culture, and so on. All these labels for people to hold dearly and associate as "me." It gets to a point where people mistake criticizing ideas as a personal attack on themselves. It's a damn shame.

No way he fits into the mold of an average professor nor the works of an average professor. Can a professional get any credit when most of their ideas are founded by already established truths? At what point can a professor get credit for any ideas? It is said the term predates Jung, yet the original source is not given. Who is this person that came up with the term then? If we cannot find a person, can we really say the term predated Jung?

“What do we do?” It’s an easy answer but an uncomfortable one. Choose whoever represents your beliefs and trust in the checks and balances to keep them from going too far. Not a comfortable choice by far but a preferred one over violent revolution.
Is it though? What if i took a longer view than just tomorrow. What about 10 years from now, will it still be better? I don't think it will be. Judging on our last 40 years of "progress", I will be poorer, have less rights and less protections from an overreaching government. Sometimes we have to step backwards to continue stepping forwards.
I'm so tired of this phrase "Trump ego = bad" I 1000% disagree, it's a characteristic that's preferred in a leader, you need someone that is not going to submit to the other world powers. Sure if Trump was my personal friend I would say his ego is too much and unhealthy, however Trumps ego is literally a net positive in terms of him being the president of the US
You are absolutely correct. Most really strong leaders have big egos and they need to have big egos to make confident decisions. Further, it is extremely common for great leaders to have sociopathic qualities, which allow them to make better 'business' decisions than being tied up emotionally in breaking a few eggs (hurting some people for the greater good). There is ZERO doubt Trump loves people, loves to be adored by people, and wants people to be happy - because of him. Tons of employees have been asked about working for and with Trump and his family and nothing but rave reviews
Ego is not preferable confidence is. They are not the same thing. You can be confident and keep your ego in check. Too much ego means you don't see the world as it is you see it as it pertains to you and your view of yourself. Trump definitely has an ego problem. He is unable to set aside his opinion of himself in order to make rational decisions that benefit the people he is leading. Trump only cares about how he is viewed and not willing to put that aside for the benefit of his people. That is ego
Great video. My key take away is what you said at the end: People make mistakes, it doesn't exclude them from ever being able to participate in anything in the future.
My honest take: it could be waffle, but it's genuine. I honest to God believe we have got ourselves in this ridiculous situation in the West (I'm not in the US I'm English, but we have very similar political issues), that has been created due to the outright aggression shown to anyone who simply isn't sure about what they think. So many act as if it's just obvious what to think. "of course you vote left, the right are evil and only for the rich". "of course you don't vote trump, he's insane". "of course you're for all of the lgbtq+ causes, you aren't homophobic/transphobic are you". We've villainised being unsure, asking questions and genuinely been able to just say "I'm not sure I get it", because if you say to someone for example "I just don't understand the hate for Trump", you will quite literally get so much blowback from some that it will naturally make you feel like it just isn't worth speaking up again, no one wants to be shouted at. I'm not even speaking in hypotheticals, this very thing happened to me recently when I said I didn't understand the levels of hate for Trump, I got shouted at and at one point even got told I should shut up and that don't I know all trans people are afraid they'll be killed or that he will kill our kids. I had no idea what to do with that, I'm not trans, I know a couple of trans people but honestly they're not the ones who would shout me down, which is what makes it all even stupider. And so people don't talk, not openly. Oh sure, like minded people talk, but that's as far as it goes. You will openly explain your feelings to someone you know shares the same thoughts you do, but we don't grow or learn anywhere near as fast by only talking with people we are in lockstep with, but it has become so difficult to openly discuss things with opposition, and then they act surprised when they find out people don't understand their perspectives. It's sad, really sad. The older I get, the more I understand why older generations used to go by the idea that you can talk about anything with friends except for two things, religion and politics, they're off the table. Unfortunately I think for the good of all of us, that might have been the better way.
It's gotten to the point that neither 'side' can even vocalize a thought or idea without the other side seeing it as an existential threat to their existence. This is basically what happens before civil wars break out, because we have no resolution method for it. Or rather, any that we did have are quickly being attacked and assaulted and no one is willing to defend them. Like elections, where having any sort of security or audit is apparently evil.
I feel that last statement. If im to atate my values, it lands me center left, maybe democratic socalist. But to expand on these feelings, I dont feel so strongly about these values, where I want to convince anyone of them. I dont run into too many politically driven issues in day to day life. It seems to all be condensed to specific areas, maybe some schools, and online discourse. My daughter is in 7th grade, and there isnt any political influence being pushed on her or her students. We hear about special cases, but we dont hear about the apolitical atmosphere around us. People will often chose to make tjings political, and in most cases, im guessing its easy to ignore. Overall, if I have to recommend a political view to people, its to not let it influence so much of your thoughts and actions. People become obsessive, maybe out of boredom. But the cure is to focus on other things, like spending time with family and friends, and building a life for yourself personally to enjoy.
It's ok to not understand the hate for Trump, people shouldn't be yelling at you, but at the same time, you may not like some of the answers you get. Trump more or less set America back by a lot during his covid response, was incredibly divisive, hurt a lot of good people even when he had little to gain, and appears to be primarily motivated by his own personal gain.
@@jackeagleeye3453 why do you assume he "may not like some of the answers"? I wholeheartedly agree with what he says, and I'm doing the same - asking questions about stuff I'm not familiar with WITHOUT any expectations. I don't want the answer I'll like, but the one that can help me understand. "Liking it" isn't the requirement whatsoever.
i did. and id chalk up Warren to maybe being a little naïve about Destiny. id argue that warren is one of the most reasonable honest dudes on the internet. destiny is a snake, through and through.
It's quite common. Many people just read the title and comment. It's an oddity of human behavior. It's up there with buyers on facebook and craigslist asking "is this available" and nothing else.
@OccasionalLeader I don't know if you are joking or you missed Destiny saying all Trump supporters deserve in violence that happens to them. And saying that he wished Trump had died in the attempt. If you don't actually listen to Destiny, maybe you shouldn't be the one trying to defend him
The fact that I’ve yet to read a single comment from a person who even claims to have watched the video is kind of crazy, how can a creator with the mission of searching for truth have such a willfully blind audience. It’s honestly really depressing, I’m not saying you should agree with Destiny but you’re all just basically sticking your fingers in your ears to avoid any information you disagree with, it’s an insult to Warren’s whole project and it should be embarrassing to act like this.
They say that Warren is has gone off the deep end without actually looking into the facts themselves. I was someone who once was 100% for Trump during the 2016 election, but due to my pursuit of truth I’ve stumbled across information that shattered my view on Trump and made me realize he’s been lying to us this whole time.
I wish we could see what the minute mark of the video was when most of these comments were made. I’d bet most of the people didn’t watch the original stream, and made them within the first 2 minutes here.
You obviously are unaware that Destiny has promoted assassination of political enemies. Tiny is a coward who will flee the country when things kick off. He doesn't deserve a seat at anybodies table.
EDIT: my bad...i thought you were talking about Destiny's original stream with Warren and the panel. but you were talking about this video. ORIGINAL COMMENT: but to be fair, if you have to sit down and watch 6 hours of incredibly nuanced and detailed information being presented (and Destiny even said he didn't present everything he'd like to), which is basically akin to going down rabbit holes in order to prove your point like a conspiracy theorist...i mean, ain't nobody got time for that. i understand that this is a work in progress for Destiny, maybe we'll see a documentary from him one day that gets to the point. but at this point: is too much like a big conspiracy theory, something Destiny himself even hates.
It's kind of concerning just how many of your own viewers commented before watching your entire video and taking away the positive message found within. Great video Warren. Keep it up.
It'd probably do a lot of good for more people to sit through the entire focus group themselves. I can understand people not liking destiny, I can understand not liking debate bros in general. But it's hard to argue with the document he put together.

Weird seeing all the anti destiny comments, didn't the stream go well? It was just a condensed document of evidence related to Jan 6 and some conversation on how the introduction of that knowledge changes perspective
Well, if you take a good minute to read the comments, they just speak in vagueries and ad hominem attacks: "hurr durr, he's a grifter, he has a big ego, he's a lunatic, he just argues in bad faith, I feel so bad that you had to listen to him for 6 hours straight!!!!" None of these guys actually watched the 6 hour panel, and I doubt they even watched this video itself. I know I'm resorting to the same tactic of attacking their character, but that's because they give you nothing of substance to work with ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It is obvious. Destiny has always been a bad faith actor. What is also unsurprising, is the Tiny lubbers to crawl out of the wordwork to pretend this isn't the case. Though, their objections are always surface level. Despite the same charges being levied at Tiny for years, they have no interest in actually refuting any of it.
It’s nice to see your smile back. I would love to see you moderate well executed debates between two opposing people. Have it use the rules of debate. Have you ask thoughtful questions of both parties. You have a gift of asking questions to ponder. You bring calm. I would love to see you show the world what could be.
I'm at the eleven minute mark and it just points out that some people read books and others don't. Always remember there is knowledge, intelligence, wisdom, and critical thinking.
I found out the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second by watching DBZ. The idea knowledge is inherently more valuable when it comes from a book is ironically something a person who doesn't read very often would say.
I've recently learned that people try to substitute wisdom, knowledge, and intelligence with critical thinking without realizing its useless without the other 3.
@@BlaqAdam No you are incorrect. Wisdom, knowledge and intelligence are byproducts of critical thinking. We are all born into a state of ignorance, it is only through critical thinking that we can gain knowledge, ie put hand on hot stove and burn yourself, therefore do not put hand on stove. With Knowledge comes intelligence and through proper application of intelligence comes wisdom. We tend to shortcut a lot of this stuff by gaining knowledge through reading books and taking classes but this means that far too many people end up having absolutely no critical thinking skills whatsoever. They are TOLD what to think, and they think it. This is the origin of the NPC meme that is fairly popular right now. For example, people like Destiny say that J6 was an insurrection, but I look at it and ask a very simple question of "How?". How are unarmed men and women storming into the capital when all the senators and house reps have been removed going to lead to an overthrow of the country? Is the building itself the country? Does simply occupying it confer upon the occupants the power to control the country? These things matter. If my two year old tells me he has usurped my position as parent and is now in control, does that make it so? Do I need to physically subdue my 2 year old to regain my title or do I have to simply bow to his whims because he says so? Critical thinking allows us to understand that J6 as it happened could NEVER have actually resulted in the country being conquered because the people that were there that day had no actual means of subduing the system. They were at best very lightly armed and had no real end goal in mind that could wrench the seats of power away from those who owned it, because they didn't have a military backing or support from a significant enough proportion of the population in order to accomplish such a thing. And yet, midwits like Destiny will argue that the country teetered on the very brink of existence on J6 because a rowdy riotous crowd stormed the capital...that is precisely NOT an example of being able to think critically about a topic.
@@hughesjanusIt’s very sad to see these people be lied to by Trump and still 100% support him. If they’d only engage with the viewpoints they’re so heavily attacking maybe they’d see that Trump never cared about their issues.
Even if I feel like I've had issues with the more extreme shifts in Destiny lately, I'm happy to see this conversation take place. And you did amazing Warren ♥~ Back in 2002, when our 'populist' politician Pim Fortuyn got killed, and the whole country mourned. There was one message that remained from both him, and a famous comedian who also got killed around the same time. That despite the death of a great mind, we need to keep the dialogue going. We need to keep it open. And this represents that beautifully.
The clips you show give the impression that Destiny's research was from Jan 6th to present and acting like the media bias didn't really exist since prior to him being elected.
I used to listen to Destiny a decent amount over the years. He has always been a fast talking loudmouth, but he's only recently become so disingenuous. Either someone is paying him a lot of money for this, or he's got the worst case of TDS I have EVER. SEEN.
What's wrong with media bias? Are media not allowed to have an opinion? You understand just because someone has a bias doesn't make it wrong, right? If you are bias that US will win the Olympics at b-ball is that an incorrect or morally wrong position?
@@1faithchick7 I’d say the exact opposite, it seems he challenges positions and the answers given are not sufficient. When they start weaseling out he starts getting upset. This happens almost every debate with the exception of when he went up against Rob Nooer. Rob has been one of the few that has been able match him.
@@sevhoss Now you understand why so many people are loudly opposed to Destiny. It's difficult to remain calm when someone has shown themselves to be a consistent bad-faith actor.
Came from the Destiny video because at the very end you started touching on one of the conversations that I believe we need to have as a country. It was frustrating for a number of reasons, but here's what it made me think: I never see discussions that start with a specific callout of where the "other side" is, or could be, coming from. If we can approach discourse with the intent to understand, or if nothing else, acknowledge where the other person(s) is coming from, we can expect a far more fruitful outcome. I believe this would, over time, help to reduce some of the name calling and personal attacks that are so ubiquitous in political "discussions" right now. Now that report is incredibly convincing, to me. My parents, friends, colleagues, people I go to church with, etc., etc. could hear all of this and not find it convincing AT ALL. I was begrudgingly planning to vote Trump prior to hearing this, and frankly can't in good conscience do that now. So, I am truly stuck because I refuse to vote for Kamala Harris either. From my perspective, both sides are problematic to say the least. I want to see an honest conversation about what's driving this increasing extremism on both sides. I got frustrated at the end of Destiny's video because I could see the conversation being steered in an important direction. Anyway, if you read this, thanks for giving me something to think about, and I look forward to hearing your perspective on other topics.
hey, from the dgg community here.. i couldn't tell if you're one of us or part of Warren's community.. but i wanted to say i relate in my own way to your comment. wanted to say despite what you choose, I was very much in the same camp as you a while back, except i had tapped out as Apolitical b/c i couldn't understand this new progressive movement stuff.. and looking at DT, it feels like he's just taken a ton of OG Dem talking points like free speech and somehow made it into a conservative thing.. something it never was before as a Clinton Era Democrat.. which makes sense considering DT WAS a Dem for over a decade before.. bro's NOT Republican. (also, looking at this comment section, it doesn't even sound like people watched THIS video.. Warren deserves a better community with people to represent what he's trying to do by showing good faith by using critical thinking skills... not just look at what "team" someone's on and follow blindly). There's many comments here who are unfortunately lacking the critical thinking skills of trying to at least build some type of bridge to at least reach out and have a respectful dialogue to, at minimum, listen to the nuances that people like me, Traditional/Clinton era Democrats worry about. Many communities typically just adhom/clip chimp/make assumptions of what they think were about, which is so far from the truth, and annoying. I hate these Twitch Hamasabi dogsh* far left, echo chambered, "advocates" who have successfully proved the horseshoe theory to be true with anything America=BAD. I know that's NEVER going to be me, nor D. I just get nervous in the idea of fixing what isn't broken.. (our Constitution). I believe we live in the best country in the world, and I, too, find it a bit frustrating that we can't pull out a couple of genuine, good hearted Dem and a Rep who act actually Presidential, so we can be proud of our country once again. and btw, I, personally, felt much more conflicted when Biden was still running.. i do feel much better with Kamala, who, at least isnt Hillary (It makes me very gleefully petty if Kamala becomes the first female President over Hillary.. I just always found her so entitled and smug personally).. I'm likely voting Blue just for the sake of at least keeping things still afloat, but thats just my choice. Destiny is absolutely an activist and as much as he wants people to believe he is 100% logical, the dude is seriously driven by his emotions. The ultra charitable interpretation of the alternate slate of electors is the correct interpretation. The left mocks Trump and his allies for specious legal theories when that is all they have employed to prosecute him. Destiny mocks Trump supporters and condemns them to the fate of the Pennsylvania firefighter, while saying we’re all idiots for not accepting that Jan 6 was an insurrection. Meanwhile he gets bodied in a debate with Andrew Wilson and rage quits like a spoiled princess after a 5hr debate with Rob Noer. His autism has fooled you for intellect.
What is the ultra charitable interpretation of the alternate electors scheme, and why do you think it's the correct interpretation? I'm assuming you'll bring up something about the 1960 alternate electors in Hawaii or the election of 1876? I think given the fact that the "alternate" electors didn't meet many of the legal provisions required for a slate of electors, is it not safe to say that they were fake slates of electors?

You’re absolutely right, iron5wolf. ... and if Trump is a “me thinker” as our buddy David says, he wouldn’t have upheaved his life to deal with all this b.s... he would’ve remained happy and content in his personal life. I used to disagree with Destiny on practically everything, but I still had some level of respect for him. But respect dissipated into the atmosphere over the last few months.
There are far too many people who wish to be told the truth instead of discover the truth. There are far too many people who want to avoid questions and skepticism instead of scrutinize and verify. There are far too many people eager to believe the worst in others instead of doing the work needed to sort through the smear. There are far too many people who with to silence and dismiss instead of discuss and embrace reality over fiction. Until that changes, mouths will be more active than ears and spitefulness will guide hearts. Division is a tactic of tyrants and censorship is like a tyrants body armor.
You re absolutely right, some people do prefer being told what to do or think. Another thing I noticed, because of all this talk about this actually being a spiritual war, and you see many people turning to Christianity lately, is that people on the left side are usually not religious, and you know people like this tend to be more attached to material and mundane stuff, to the point of making a God out of anything they feel attraction for. You notice that very clearly with most of the democrats that are blindingly supporting Kamala without giving any reason. It's like people have made a God out of the democrat party

I appreciate you also being openminded enough to even entertain the conversation. I wish other comments would echo this sentiment rather than just post negative comments of someone they don't like.
Well, if he didn't wish me dead for the candidate I support I'd give him a listen. But in what world should I? That's not only insane yet it's not illegal to ask lawyers how the law works and what they can do. Not to mention I can stand in the middle and condem the rioters of j6 like I do for antifa that rioted during the blm/floyde protest. If you can't reason with me, why should I reason with you?
@@sirowthereaper he didin't wish anyones death. He just said i have no sympathy for trump/ putin supporters and made jokes like i'll buy you front row seats to a trump convention quite different from wishing death.
To those who are critical of Warren's audience and how they are not engaging with Destiny see from their point of view: Destiny has crossed the line and acted in a way that makes them no longer willing to engage with his arguments. They view him the same way some of you commentators view Trump; someone beyond the pale. And you can make all the arguments you want, but at the end of the day, he celebrated an innocent dude dying. And to this day he still defends that action. You call conservatives hypocrites all you want, but that doesn't change what Destiny did.
Omg i hate this line of thinking. Destiny being unhinged is not an excuse for people to be delusional. You CAN condemn Destiny's rhetoric and positions and simultaneously engage with his arguments. I'm tired of treating conservatives like triggered ret*rded children. These are grown as* adults.
@@loonasfirstdisciple One he was celebrating the killing of the firefighter. For example, he tweeted out a picture of the blood from the victim and joked that it was a few points down for Trump. You could argue that it was just a joke, but even in that circumstance, it is a morally bankrupt joke. More so, I think a guy who views Trump as a threat to America might be happy when Trump is down a few points. This points to that tweet as an obvious celebration of the victims' death. And a dude being at a political rally for a candidate you don't like does nullify his innocence. He is innocent because nothing he did warranted being shot dead. If this is the type of people Destiny want in his audience then fine by me, but when the day comes when the dog he taught to bite others bites him in the ass few we care about his suffering from it.
@@hughesjanus Call them any names they want, but that isn't going to change a thing. For if you want you're opposition to listen to you then acting in the manner that Destiny did isn't going to help. If you some how have the magical power to change human psychology then do that first, and then maybe more rightoids will be able to listen to Destiny. Until you gain such god-like power then learn that approaching your opposition entails being a cool and collective actor. And not acting like an unhinged man-child.
He didn't celebrate anything. He also didn't want to engage in an appeal to emotion for others. If we're talking about the same interview, he just noped out of that direction of discussion...
I really appracite the setniment you had at the end of your video. I want a strong REpublican and Democratic party of principled people making the best arguments they can, arguing against each other, getting passionate and emotion because of how much the each care and believe in what they are saying. But only when everyone cares about truth, facsts, our country, and agrees on what those things are or at least the process of discovering them. I think that 6 hours shows not just the many facts Destiny has compiled and the research he has done, but also his process and how he discovered them in the first place. I hope more people in the comments reflect on this last point you made and don't just tribalisitcally hate on Destiny for being part of another group than them.
Warren, I would avoid giving Destiny any attention. He is a sociopath. Please avoid the temptation of being on a platform merely for attention grabbing and attempting to be relevant. You have arrived at this point by filling a void: transparent and honest reactions to current events without bias.
Destiny doesn't care about truth. He simply likes to argue and be disagreeable for the sake of it...he provides no solutions, just spews nonsense. I can't believe you had to spend 6hrs with him, my worst nightmare.
The problem isn't that he doesn't provide solutions, after all the first step to finding a solution is first realizing that there is a problem and what that problem looks like. The issue is that the premises that are foundational to his cosmovision are entirely incorrect and so he has come up with this very distorted view of reality which leads him to the wrong conclusions about 90% of the time.
@@willl676 yep. "COVID most likely came from a wet market" - Destiny. The wiki warrior's vision is clouded by outcome first, then he works backwards to find the conclusion inline with his ideology. He's not a free thinker and as such his conclusions will only be right at the rate of a broken clock (with a variable for issues where he hasn't yet been biased, which isn't most meaningful issues).
I absolutely love how kind and civil you are.. it’s a breath of fresh air from listening to all these people scream at each other and call each other names. You are an amazing person. You are going to help people actually think for themselves instead of being stuck in an echo chamber, because You’ve already helped me.
Just do your best - dont be too attached to the outcome. Do the right thing - and thats all you can do. People have to decide for themselves. Freedom means the freedom to choose or think incorrectly - as long as it doesnt harm others.
Warren, I really admire your cool-headed and thoughtful style of discourse. It is an unhappy admission in that it’s an uncommon breath of fresh air. I have trouble with the normality of both sides constantly using ad hominem attacks to drive discourse.
The more I listen to Destiny on this subject, the more I realize he actually believes what he's saying and doing. I've strongly criticized him for being bad faith here, but no, he actually does believe it. He's wrong on so many points, but he's being earnest. However, I can't ignore how he behaved so intentionally recently. This cannot be characterized as "mistakes." He lashed out with malice. It's clear that this recent stream and pivot is due to him taking personal time to reflect on his behavior. But your closing point is also why I continue to follow him and his content.
Warren, just please take your time with politics. Destiny loves to SOUND confident even when he is wrong just like many of these political commentators like him. He may seem like he is in good faith but remember the track record of Destiny and the disgusting stuff he says. Please consider this, do not start letting Destiny of all people get you roped into his bad faith arguments just cause he is trying to pass as centrist. He is just doing this cause he screwed up with such a idiotic and disgusting take on the Trump shooter that he is honestly bordering on irredeemable. Yes these discussions are good, but do not fall for his BS, do your own research on it and take what Destiny says with a grain of salt.
Did you listen to Destiny’s 6hr Jan6 compilation? Did you go through the PowerPoint he made? If so, how can you say he’s lying, when it is start to finish what happened? He provides evidence with every conviction he states. Can your side say the same? (biiggggg fat no)
He’s essentially unredeemable to me. He had an entire 3 hour conversation with sneako trying to explain how you shouldn’t form your opinions or views based on opposing others, then justifies his gross statements by doing the same and letting his actions be dictated by those he claims to find reprehensible. I think he’s either a grifter or at best a hypocrite.
Are you seriously trying to tell him to not listen to the facts and information that he was presented with because of who presented it? It was a stream based purely around facts and information. That extensive "warning" not addressing the substance of the discussion is just bad faith. You're telling a man to weigh facts less based on who delivered them.
@@CordaroBlu if you read my comment I never told him what he should do, I said what I thought. That seems like pretty bad faith. That kind of judgmental attitude, where your mind is made up, is the exact kind of thing that was being discussed in this video.
He's definitely not trying to pass as a centrist. He´s been openly criticizing centrists saying that assuming the centrist position to come off as objective and unbiased doesn´t automatically make you a critical thinker. Sometimes, one side is right and the other is wrong.
There is nothing genuine about Destiny beyond Destiny's love of Destiny. He is an intelligent con artist through and through. A real conversation would occur when you have diversity of thought and freedom of expression. Destiny falls squarely on his face every single time he has participated in those conversation because his points sound great in his echo chamber but fall apart as soon as they see the cleansing light of day.

@@AntiTheBird Doesn't really matter. If you truly want to educate someone who stands in opposition to you the first hurdle you need to clear is to convince them to give you a chance. I liked how he brought on different people that aren't centrists but also not partisan then very clearly laid out the information in a way that a layman like me could understand and encourage the people who were less knowledgeable on the call to ask questions which helped me understand what was going on. I understand that it’s important to be rational and reasonable on these sorts of topics, but there’s something about Destiny, Jan 6, and all the rhetoric around it that really irks me. I’m willing to admit that it is most likely an irrational agitation on my end, but it’s something I can’t ignore. It’s like an instinctual revulsion. It’s like something deep within me knows that there is something tremendously wrong here but it lacks the ability to articulate itself, to lower itself into a more grounded level. It’s like solving a maze by starting from the end point and working your way to the start when everyone else (Destiny and the like) is trying to solve it from start to finish, which I guess is the dilemma of pure intuition. Maybe I’m totally in the wrong to be feeling this way, maybe not, but it’s there, grounded in something instinctually moralistic rather than intellectual, and it’s not so easily swept aside in the face of rational argument.
You are in the wrong. What a long and useless way to say Idk anything about J6 but since my side looked bad, Im not going to look into it and just assume the other side is wrong.
I am repulsed by it as well and there's no mystery as to why in my case. Innocent people spent years in prison over Jan 6. Anybody who would do that over a political disagreement is inhumane and being repulsed by them is a proper ethical reaction.

All these labels for people to hold dearly and associate as "me." It gets to a point where people mistake criticizing ideas as a personal attack on themselves. It's a damn shame.

It is said the term predates Jung, yet the original source is not given. Who is this person that came up with the term then? If we cannot find a person, can we really say the term predated Jung?
Wow, thank you.
I wish more people would bring up that the left loved Trump until he said he was running for President as a Republican. It all changed overnight.
And they went absolutely unhinged when Trump somehow got in the way of Hillary Clinton's coronation, when they thought he was easiest possible GOP candidate to beat.
Just like everybody hated Kamala until she was basically chosen as the Democratic candidate without anyone really voting for it.
They propped him up at first thinking he'd sabotage the Rep Party. It backfired hilariously.
Yes. They loved him and now hes not just a political enemy, but so many believe him to be literal Hitler who would enslave the entirety of Humanity if he could. And he already had 4 years as POTUS. These people are dumb as fuck.
@@yowamidesu she doesn’t need to be voted on!! What elementary understanding do so many people seem to have 😂😂
They are DELEGATES. Those are delegates WE voted for, and they are allowed to change who they will vote for (no votes required!!!! Bold and italicized). It’s part of our democracy
I'm so tired of this phrase "Trump ego = bad"
I 1000% disagree, it's a characteristic that's preferred in a leader, you need someone that is not going to submit to the other world powers.
That is ego
I'm glad this was a calm, rational conversation
I watched the whole focus group panel, was fascinating. Props to Warren for taking part.
Your group conducted a much calmer interview:discussion than I've heard in many platforms, Warren! Bravo!👏🏽👏🏽
Great video. My key take away is what you said at the end:
People make mistakes, it doesn't exclude them from ever being able to participate in anything in the future.
"The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity."
YB Yeats, The Second Coming (1919)

I'm at the eleven minute mark and it just points out that some people read books and others don't. Always remember there is knowledge, intelligence, wisdom, and critical thinking.
There is also the knowledge given to you through God's Word and just plain, old common sense.
True the vehicle for delivering the knowledge is irrelevant.
Remember the greeks thought reading & writing was making people intellectually lazy

These are grown as* adults.
he wasn’t “celebrating” and the dude definitely wasn’t “innocent”

He's definitely not trying to pass as a centrist. He´s been openly criticizing centrists saying that assuming the centrist position to come off as objective and unbiased doesn´t automatically make you a critical thinker. Sometimes, one side is right and the other is wrong.
