Zeerust community demand closure of a local mine

The community of Mmasebudule village near Zeerust in the North West is demanding the closure of Marico Chrome mine.
The mine operates on the community's ancestral land.
The community marched to the mine premises to hand over a memorandum of demands. They say since the mine became operational decades ago they never benefitted from the royalties.
