"Rivers of Light" from the "Unveiled" CD and DVD is about pausing to count the blessings in our life, even in the midst of our struggles. Inspired by Isaiah 65:24 and James 1:17, which talk about God hearing our prayers before we finish speaking and blessings coming down from heaven like rivers of light from the Father of Light. Stanton Lanier piano accompanied by Jeff Oster on flugel horn and orchestration by Philip Aaberg. Music produced by Windham Hill Founder Will Ackerman. One of the most beautiful souful songs I've ever heard. I play this song on the anniversary of my mother's birth, Sep 8 and on the anniversary of her death, Aug 8. I hope you can hear this angelic music mom!!
Just still one of my very favourite pieces of music ever. There is something about this piece that calms, soothes, inspires, and lifts me into deep places of love and joy almost instantly from the first notes. Once in a while I get a wistful feeling, or a pang of loss or regret in there as I'm listening, but then a phrase later I am right up into the joy of whatever it was that I lost or regret. i am always brought back to the light when hearing this. It's one of my "go to" songs to put me in a meditative and appreciative mood. Thank you for writing it! So much thank you!!!

The first time I heard this music, the Shaw music channel was playing it on tv, I was in another room, lying down with a sprained toe and ankle. I heard the music and was spell-bound. I then realized that if I didn't hobble over to the TV right then, I would miss knowing who the creator was. I shuffled over to jot down the name. And thanks to youtube, I found this. It is my favorite Stanton musical piece. Thank you for creating this beauty. :) From Canada.

so calming. i always said show me more music like this and i wouldnt ever listen to death metalm rap ,reggae ,techno ever again. my mom told me to play the piano because i had fingers for it but i just never got into it. now im kicking myself for it. so classy
