I can relate to this build so much. Although I won't make the progress you will. I went down the rabbit hole on my crx with cleaning up the interior. Gutting it and cleaning everything.
You inspired me to clean up my garage so I can do stuff to my car inside of it (finally, cause no car ever was sitting in my garage!) ultra-8!! Keep it up brother
I used some drop in anchors in the middle of one of my garage parking spaces, mounted the tubing bender and when I get done with it I just un-bolt the bender and put the bolts in the drop in anchors so it doesn’t fill up with dirt, etc. works great and I can tuck it away when I don’t need it🍻

I love sandblasting. It’s so satisfying. Also you should wait a minute or two before you open the lid after blasting. The particles will settle so you don’t make a mess

I’m taking apart my 02 rsx. Got a double din and wiring the backup camera. The car is basically all apart now but you make me wanna take out the front seats and completely gut and clean it since I got a few months of it sitting in the garage.

I say you build just a little sheltered shed off the side of the garage or close to for the pipe bender so it had its own room and plenty of space if you need to bend a big pipe. Love your vids from New Zealand

Consider mounting the bender to the floor right behind the lift post with the oil reservoir on it then you would have the entire swing of the other bay and it would be in between the two doors so you might not have to take it down all the time

You could always mount the pipe bender to a small rolling stand/bench and screw or clamp it to something when its in use, then you can always roll it put of the way. Ultra8

Robbie, make or buy a portable sand blaster and just spray the rust off from the frame/interior! (Remember face shield and filtration mask!)
Find a brake drum for your pipe bender you can make it removable with that ultra eight
Robbie drill into the concrete and use Lag bolts so you can bolt the pipe bender down and then remove it and the sleeves will be flush with the floor
Also if your going to weld stainless steel for the tube front end use stainless steel wire and the right consumables! Love the build
Whats rusting on your car is the left and right apron which is absolutely the "frame frame" but its all good those civics are not made for you to live when crashes so any frame upgrade is a good one

hey Rob you should get about 10-15 can of DEI BoomMat Spray sound insulation and coat the full interior with it, as it would help to reduce noise and heat from the interior as well as it will help the ac be more efficient it would even be good to coat the chassis with as well, Did you receive the hotwheels i sent you last week

What about a small out building that’s connected on the single door with another single door to exit. Could have a concrete floor with enough space for pipe bender and few other tools or storage. Hope you read this, newish fan 👌👌

For the pipe bender just make yourself a concrete slab outside the shop. Doesn't have to be big.
It was so satisfying to watch this episode xD Im glad you didnt "need" to go over all the inside with the protectioncoat :) My OCD would have made me do it if it was my own car.
