My ENTIRE Thomas & Friends UK VHS Collection (2023)

- I have wanted to showcase my collection for a long time now, and I feel like my collection is currently at a standstill as the ones I don't have yet are a lot harder to obtain. For now, here are all of my UK Thomas & Friends VHS tapes I have so far, which is not far from completion.
Quite a very nice collection, you've definitely worked hard trying to get most of those rare Thomas tapes that many people don't own, I still think the T&F cassette 1 tape from Guild Home video is quite rare, at least compared to most of the other Thomas tapes out there!
I come searching for a specific UK release. I find this video, I think "Sure, why not?"
I decide to check the comments. I see my name mentioned in one of the comments... This is gonna be fun and special. I wonder which VHS tape it will be about!!!
Update: Finally made it through the video. Sweet collection. Very thorough as well. LOVE your passive aggressive sarcasm when it comes to the compilation tapes. Fans love them, but there really is nothing to say with most of them... You think talking about them in a collection video is hard? Try doing a review of one 🤣
Britt allcroft did market the hell out of Thomas in the home entertainment market

With regards to the Season 1 releases, both the original and the re-releases were brought out by The Video Collection. Kalaidescope was not a video label in its own right but part of The Video Collection.
The re-releases of the S1 tapes seemed to either have white labels with black text or have the Video Collection logo on the label with the "Guild Home Video distributed by The Video Collection" text included.
Later copies of these tapes seem to either say "Thomas The Tank Engine" or "Thomas The Tank Engine 1, 2 or 3".
Well it was first broadcasted on Children's ITV back in the 80s and continued on in the 90s, 00s and that's it!

😃👍 You've got one hell of a collection. 🙂 I've started collecting Thomas as well but on a DVD format. 🙂 I've brought season 1 from online after Christmas and I, have watched all 26 episodes. 🙂 I've ordered season 2 from online, (Back on 2nd January, 2024) got dispatched and ready to be delivered soon enough.
“It’s Gondarth’s favorite Thomas release” had me dying laughing. In all seriousness, I’m going to collect that tape. I want it. Thanks making this video, it works as nice background noise while I work on my Thomas collection in my room.
If it's the VHS tape I think it is (I'm only 10 minutes into the video), I'm gonna say you don't want it. There's nothing special or interesting whatsoever about it 🤣

Now that's a great collection! If only I had a pal or multi system VCR, I'd be set! But as of now, watching uploads is the best thing I have for these UK VHS releases!
(And yes I know I can import the complete series DVD sets and watch them that way, but c'mon there's something about watching Thomas on VHS...)
I never realized how many times they re-released Season 1 episodes! Yeah those were the first Thomas episodes but even I think that's overdoing it LOL! I wonder if either:
1.) They ran out of tape stock for the older releases so they kept making new stock for future prints.
2.) They just wanted to make more money.

You have a lovely collection, I wish mine was as good. (Even though I do have two Aussie tapes, a Welsh tape and 16 US tapes.)
1:47 I fell for that trap back in 2020. I accidentally bought the Kaleidoscope one thinking it was cassette 1.
Not as scruffy at 00:55. Me too at 03:33. It’s Owen Bell at 05:40. It’s a shame Michael died after the first lockdown we had. It’s polite to say Sir Topham Hatt. I think My dad used to buy the Learn Witn Thomas VHS at Makro’s in Leeds for me when I was about 5. It’s Skarloey at 15:37. The DVD at 30:40 had Thomas & Gordon as well. Second time at 36:20.

What a nice video collection you have, Quinnifer. I'm not really one to be greedy for Thomas tapes, but I'm might be in the mood for adding some of your extra Thomas tapes to my collection. I know I live in America, but I would love it if you could get me each of one of your copy videos for Christmas or might birthday (December 23rd) that you might be having ("Thomas & Gordon", "Troublesome Trucks", "Coal", "Thomas, Percy & the Coal", "The Runaway", "The Deputation", "Time for Trouble", "Trust Thomas", "Escape" and "The Best Ever Christmas Collection"; any UK variants you wanna get me. Don't worry, I'm not really that picky.
I had a few thomas VHS. I can't remember all of them apart from spooks and surprises. My cousin has them now.

The ones with the dull yellow spines look familiar. That was the standard style when I was a kid.
When I go on this app that has discontinued I found out in the US it aired on UPN from seasons 1-3. Then seasons 4-7 on Nick Jr. And from seasons 8-24 on PBS

I never heard of screen legends. I'm from the us. To me Thomas and Gordon is Thomas gets tricked.
