So, I've purchased these handguards based on your video and I'm looking forward to installing them. My question is are you pleased with them still and what is your opinion about cutting up the bar weights? I guess I'm asking if it was worth the work to trim them down?
I've got absolutely no complaints and would definitely still give them a thumbs up 👍🏼. As for the bar weights, my main concern was the angle of the weight relative to the bar when they weren't trimmed. I didn't want to cause any issues with the bolt or the threaded insert. I also didn't want to worry about vibration/fatigue or having to figure out which aftermarket low profile weight would fit so for me it was worth it to grind them down and then bolt them back on. Again, no regrets. Hope this helps.
Nice work 👍🏻
Thanks!

@@averageguyadventures Thanks for the information. Keep up the good work.
I have a 2005 KLR650.
Do I need the 7/8 or the 1 1/4 ?? Thanks
Don't quote me as I have a 2012 but I think all the KLR's use 7/8.
