Does hull temperature really matter for a ski that has an intercooler? Ventilation absolutely matters, and intake temp matters for an NA engine that has no other way of cooling the intake air, but the intercooler will easily remove whatever amount of heat the air in the hull has.
I have not tested it yet. We just had a freeze with 18 degree air temps so I was not able to get to the water this week. It’ll be 70 degrees again in a few days and the next video will be going over tuning and intake air temps.
@greenhulkgarage any plans to convert this ski to E85? I see a lot of TH-cam content about performance gains with E85 in automobiles, but not so much for PWC. Would be cool to see you do some tech vids and talk about it.
It’s not a problem for saltwater as long as you’re not riding in an extremely wet environment. If you’re riding in rough water and getting lots of water splashing on to the top of the ski, then I would not risk it.
Keep an eye on those holes, I've seen that done before on a different ski. When ridden hard, it developed cracks between the holes
Excellent video I love your idea definitely is going to run better fresh air. Hell yeah more power.
That’s the goal
Looks awesome man. To me looks better than stock look.
The caffeine and redbull GreenHulk special!! 😂
Badass Hulk Jr! Now I just have to make the time to ride that beast one day soon hopefully. Thanks for sharing, great job!
Billy D
The longer you wait, the faster the beast gets! Wear your diapers when you ride it 😂😂
@@GreenHulkGarage Hell yeah brother

Yes it matters. An intercooler will only be so efficient. The air being 40 degrees cooler before the intercooler even has too cool it will help a ton.
Hey Mr Greg, any tips or how to disassemble the hood properly ? not many visible fastners.
Really looks good. You did a good job.
I tried👍
Neat as! Well done Greg 👌
Thank you
Have you been able to test it yet? Assuming in summer heat is when you would see the difference, if any. Can't wait to hear.

Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Is there a pre filter
Those black deck bolts from yamaha rust, i switched mine out for 13 mm stainless ones.
Good suggestion
Is this a good idea for salt water?

Let’s see the results!!! Top speed/RPM.
That’ll be the plan as soon as the weather warms up
She slick 💯
Bad ideas for 1/2 mph will sink your watercraft one day for sure. Trust me it's not worth 8 grand rebuild or at bottom of your lake/Ocean
