Time clock was expiring and I drafted Lockett as my WR4 in the 12th round in a 10 team Superflex league… and absolutely hated the pick. 🤮 Dropped him this morning for Mooney. Shakir, Downs, Polk also available and on my watch list… 👀 Rest of the WR room is MHJ, Waddle, McLaurin, Jameson.
I'm not sure how to trade for Jake Ferguson. The Ferg owner has LaPorta as his starting TE. I'm trying to trade either Hopkins straight up or Chuba and Polk together to him (he is very thin at WR with Keenan Allen as his WR3).
I hope yall can give me advice on whether I need to balance my starting roster or not (full PPR): K. Murray D. Achane C. Brown D. London G. Wilson K. Pitts T. Higgins Bench: J. Addison B. Corum R. Dowdle L. McConkey J. Waddle J. Warren
I think it’s not a waste to draft an Elite handcuff. I won championships running out both Jones/Dillon one year and Ingram/Kamara another. I guess at a certain point you transcend being a “handcuff” see Achane/Mostert or Monty/Gibbs
Id say Tyjae oder Brown, but Tyjae has a higher floor in my opinion. The rb splits in Tenessee (min. 40% for Spears) are more reliable than at the Bengals
Strategy tip: on Sunday morning look ahead to NEXT week's opponent, review his roster, anticipate who he will want to claim on waivers, claim him for yourself. Strategy works best when your team is already good and your waiver pick will likely be worthlessly high. Come Tuesday, drop your kicker/defense and, if need be, make another block claim. The idea is similar to the early-season/late-season roster construction advice. Something to help you win now; and something to help you win later. Look ahead. Anticipate. Block.
I'm also torn in my second league. Rb: Pacheco, Achane, James Cook, Ford, McLaughlin Wr: Ceedee, DK, Flowers, Godwin, Doubs and BTJ. I want to also upgrade my wr2. I'm not a fan of have 3 rbs in my starting line up. Currently running Pacheco, achane and Cook at flex with Ceedee and DK. I would rather have DK at flex and an upgraded wr2 by packaging Cook and Godwin or Flowers
The more shallow the league the less likely any team is going to do any 2 for 1 trade especially before the season starts. If they have some injuries i could see it happening but before the season starts no one is trading off high end pieces for guys who “could” be good.
I also did Hero RB. Somewhat similar teams i may have gone too crazy cause its shallow 10 team 2RB 2WR 1 flex. RB2 its my weak spot. Josh allen Gibbs, Warren, Amon-ra, Kupp, Waddle Njoku Reserves: QB J. Daniels, Cronum, J. wright, Aiyuk, Flowers, Reed, Worthy,
No, keep Daniels. Use as trade bait if you have to. I'm in 2 leagues with Prescott in 1 and Murrary in the other. I'd scoop up Daniels if he were on the WW.
I disagree on not rostering 2 QBs... i like to have a viable backup just in case my starter goes down, no matter who my starter is, and if my backup QB plays really well, and someone else's starter goes down, you have some nice trade bait to better your roster in another position
That’s what I did today in my draft. I have Jackson as starter, Joe Burrough as back up, Stanford, and Rodgers. I hope I can use that at some point in the season
I feel like I'm kind of RB rich. I'd love to trade some to upgrade my WR2 on both my leagues. Rb: ETN, Mixon, Conner, Zamir White, Ford and Stevenson. WR: Amonra, Pittman, DeVonta, Higgins and Diontae I'm trying to figure out if I should just sit or upgrade with a 2 for 1. I'd love to have a better wr2 than Pittman and have Smith as my flex low-key.
There's a lot to say here. With the Chase issue, Higgins could move up, and Diontae should be a target magnet. I'm not sold on Pittman either, so you could pair Pittman with Conner, who usually gets hurt and see if you can get a better WR.
@@danb215 I like a lot of guys over Pittman; Metcalf, Waddle, Nabers (although riskier), Rice. I think Pittman is OK, but Mitchell and Downs have some potential to take those targets away, and a healthy AK and JT will provide more rushing attempts as well.
majority of leagues & managers don’t jump the gun after the 1st game of a week 1. managers tend not to make moves until after week 4. when they see 0-4 on the rankings
Why don't you look at a 2nd QB as a Tier Up? 2 years ago, I had Mahomes and I traded Hurts, Montgomery and a lesser WR for AJ Brown because a team didnt have a QB/hurt QB
There are tons of novice and beginner fantasy players that don't know the tactics to upgrade their starters, not every piece of advice will apply to you if you are an experience fantasy player
I am in a 10 man league. Picked from the 10th spot. I kinda feel like I don’t need to upgrade anything but would love some wisdom. QB: Murray RB: Gibbs RB: Achane WR: Jefferson WR: London TE: McBride FLEX: Rice Bench: Waddle J. Williams JK Dobbins J. Reed B. Thomas C. Brown
Yes, sit on that team and see how things play out for a bit. Should be a very dangerous team if Gibbs health holds up. You may be OK even if his health doesn't hold up.
If you are holding a Tua of Goff on your bench behind your stud QB, they can't be used against you. If you have scrubs on your bench who will never see the field, that makes zero sense.
I agree, it makes sense to carry Goff over some scrub wr like d Mooney or m Williams. Most likely finding a wr or rb that can get 8-10 will always be there. Getting a qb that can hit 18 or more consistently is harder especially if qb go down like last year
While I get what u mean, you'd need a huge bench to keep talent from being used against you. But Tua or Goff are very unlikely to be the reason you lose to a team anyways, therefore it's kind of useless to keep them if your reason is to keep them away from others. They don't help you win, and barely hurt if it all your opponents.
@@jasongreif7867 if u hold a guy like tua goff or herbert, there is no point, unless u r in like a 16 team league. Most of these guys wouldn’t be starters for any team in the league. Their benches can’t hurt u. It’s better to take high upside guys so that if u have injuries, which will happen, u have guys later in the season who can hold it down
This is a losers mentality instead of a winning one. You can’t hold every QB. Your league mates will find someone to fill that spot and you will clog your bench for weeks.
The only time I could see that being a strat is for a very limited section of a certain position. Like top RBs. Because there are only so many elite RBs you should take in the early rounds before the RB deadzone, snagging 2 would make it difficult for your league mates to have enough elite RBs to go around. For example I got CMC and Pacheco. Pacheco could've been someone's RB1 but me taking him means some guys will have to settle for RB2s as their RB1
Because the WR value is higher than the RB Value, depending on which position youre drafting from. Also the Hit-Rate from early WRs is higher than RBs, due to inguries i guess
If anybody took your two for one for an RB two, your leagues a joke. That is the worst offer I’ve ever heard. Potentially a number three wide receiver and a rookie running back. Who’s not even the starter yet for two guys that were drafted in the second round. I’m gonna watch the rest of this video, but you guys are a joke so far holy moly.

Time clock was expiring and I drafted Lockett as my WR4 in the 12th round in a 10 team Superflex league… and absolutely hated the pick. 🤮
Dropped him this morning for Mooney. Shakir, Downs, Polk also available and on my watch list… 👀
Rest of the WR room is MHJ, Waddle, McLaurin, Jameson.
I'm not sure how to trade for Jake Ferguson.
The Ferg owner has LaPorta as his starting TE. I'm trying to trade either Hopkins straight up or Chuba and Polk together to him (he is very thin at WR with Keenan Allen as his WR3).
Who is your TE? If you could get Hopkins for him that would be great.
I bet Danny likes to play for the river card when playing Texas Hold'em..😆
Is it ok to roster 2 defenses if i have a 10 man bench 2rb/wr/flex? Most in my league have 2 so waivers are hard to stream
Seems like you are wasting a spot for a high upside spot. 1 Defense.
I hope yall can give me advice on whether I need to balance my starting roster or not (full PPR):
K. Murray
D. Achane
C. Brown
D. London
G. Wilson
K. Pitts
T. Higgins
Bench:
J. Addison
B. Corum
R. Dowdle
L. McConkey
J. Waddle
J. Warren
Chase brown + Addison might be a move to make, I actually have the same players, let’s figure it out
Chase Brown is listed as the Kick Returner now :)
I think it’s not a waste to draft an Elite handcuff. I won championships running out both Jones/Dillon one year and Ingram/Kamara another. I guess at a certain point you transcend being a “handcuff” see Achane/Mostert or Monty/Gibbs
Do y’all have a trade calculator???
This year has so much hype around backup RBs lol smdh
Because starters get hurt every damn year. By week 4-6 everyone will be thankful they took a handcuff
Chase Brown, Tyjae Spears, or JK dobbins week 1?
Id say Tyjae oder Brown, but Tyjae has a higher floor in my opinion. The rb splits in Tenessee (min. 40% for Spears) are more reliable than at the Bengals
@@Shdow-tx7ym I would go with Dobbins or Brown, but lean Dobbins. Spears is facing a tough defense on the road.
Look ahead. Anticipate. Block.
Chase Brown is RB2 behind Moss
I'm also torn in my second league.
Rb: Pacheco, Achane, James Cook, Ford, McLaughlin
Wr: Ceedee, DK, Flowers, Godwin, Doubs and BTJ.
I think this is a solid team. I would let things play out for a few games before making any hasty moves.
Thoughts on trading MHJ and Josh Jacobs for Kenneth Walker and Garret Wilson?
Season hasn’t started
I agree with 714, hold off and see how things go. Close one. I prefer Jacobs over Walker, and Wilson over MHJ, but that could go either way.
@@DJ-jf8ts I agree. I’m just a fan of GW and wanted to read opinions about it.
Charb or Dowdle? PPR, zero RB build
I'm nervous either way, Charb has been banged up, and Dallas signed Cook. I'd go with Dowdle if I had to select 1.
Josh allen
Gibbs, Warren,
Amon-ra, Kupp, Waddle
Njoku
Reserves:
QB J. Daniels, Cronum, J. wright, Aiyuk, Flowers, Reed, Worthy,
Usually don't grab a second QB with Josh Allen but really feel good about Jayden Daniels. Not sure if I should drop for higher upside guys
A. Gibson, J. mason, B. Irving, R. Davis
Should I drop Jayden Daniels for one of them?
No, keep Daniels. Use as trade bait if you have to. I'm in 2 leagues with Prescott in 1 and Murrary in the other. I'd scoop up Daniels if he were on the WW.
Tip 3, the secret sauce for backup QB or TE is Taysom Hill. You’re welcome.
@@thisoldnew4544 wait, u took 4 QBs???
@@thisoldnew4544LOL 4qbs?!
@@dainfamouswonI screamed bro 😂
I feel like I'm kind of RB rich. I'd love to trade some to upgrade my WR2 on both my leagues.
Rb: ETN, Mixon, Conner, Zamir White, Ford and Stevenson.
WR: Amonra, Pittman, DeVonta, Higgins and Diontae
I'm trying to figure out if I should just sit or upgrade with a 2 for 1. I'd love to have a better wr2 than Pittman and have Smith as my flex low-key.
There’s a lot in the “Running back dead zone” there though. I’d look to trade yeah.
@@Daniboi971 you're acting as though I have no WR though. I can easily move some RB for a WR. Just not sure who for who.
There's a lot to say here. With the Chase issue, Higgins could move up, and Diontae should be a target magnet. I'm not sold on Pittman either, so you could pair Pittman with Conner, who usually gets hurt and see if you can get a better WR.
@@DJ-jf8ts who would be a better we than Pittman in your opinion
@@danb215 I like a lot of guys over Pittman; Metcalf, Waddle, Nabers (although riskier), Rice. I think Pittman is OK, but Mitchell and Downs have some potential to take those targets away, and a healthy AK and JT will provide more rushing attempts as well.
I have Anthony Richardson as my QB1 and Dak on my bench 😭
majority of leagues & managers don’t jump the gun after the 1st game of a week 1. managers tend not to make moves until after week 4. when they see 0-4 on the rankings
I traded Ayiuk and Allgeier for AJ Brown yesterday lol
I think you made out really well with that deal.
@DJ-jf8ts I was kind of shocked he accepted it. With Kellen Moore being the OC there now, I think this offense will be alot better then last year
Why don't you look at a 2nd QB as a Tier Up? 2 years ago, I had Mahomes and I traded Hurts, Montgomery and a lesser WR for AJ Brown because a team didnt have a QB/hurt QB
Did that make you better?
@@FelixGelinas well I finished with most points so I'd say so.
Dang!
“Upgrade your starting lineup” is the same as “make sure you have air in your tank before you go scuba diving” or “water is wet”. It’s comical.
QB: Murray
RB: Gibbs
RB: Achane
WR: Jefferson
WR: London
TE: McBride
FLEX: Rice
Bench:
Waddle
J. Williams
JK Dobbins
J. Reed
B. Thomas
C. Brown
Yes, sit on that team and see how things play out for a bit. Should be a very dangerous team if Gibbs health holds up. You may be OK even if his health doesn't hold up.
@@DJ-jf8ts thank you
If you are holding a Tua of Goff on your bench behind your stud QB, they can't be used against you.
I traded Jacob's for Laporta. Already had Hall & Achane. My other TE was Fant.
Why not just draft two RBs early than do hero RB, then have to trade for a good #2 RB?..
Because the WR value is higher than the RB Value, depending on which position youre drafting from. Also the Hit-Rate from early WRs is higher than RBs, due to inguries i guess
Your comment made zero sense for the hero rb strategy. That's double hero.
2 for 1 is a scam.
