This was released five years ago. Wakazaemon is listed as the bass player on the latest EP, for the first time, from Koiai- Come See Me, which came out this week. Waltz music is often used to convey creepy atmospheres. The vocal lines are very similar to the brief vocals in the Koiai song- A New Picture, which does have a slight melody but are spoken rather than sung. Alan looked really shocked. This song title is Haruyama Dancing.
As of yesterday Wakazaemon has officially "Withdrawn" from East Of Eden, presumably to concentrate on KOIAI. They have some new live dates coming up so plenty to rehearse- She was reading from a tablet in their first live Blu-ray.
It's pretty clear that she doesn’t quite fit in with East of Eden and has left the group. She seems to be enjoying herself more while working with Lisa X. Marty Friedman also seems to admire her bass-playing skills, which is awesome.🤘
One of the comments floored me. I can’t verify from my knowledge. However, I love Wakazaemon. We know many Japanese artists are extremely busy. Honestly, she goes far beyond East of Eden (love them) and a Marty Friedman (love them). Of course she is a session musician for Koiai and so many Japanese bands I not particularly familiar with. I will support one of my favorite bass players, wherever she performs. Honestly, this does seem different, but this is one artist I’m all in for.
@@SteveBalderrama She said she recorded all the songs for Koiai's new EP, I am pretty sure she likes working with them and there is a possibility that she might becomes a permanent member of the band in the foreseeable future but since she has always been a solo/session bassist since the beginning of her career, maybe she just realized that she feels more comfortable on her own as being a permanent member of a band needs commitment, she might just wants more control and freedom so that she can only do things she likes and her way. I am also guessing.
She did an Instagram live today to talk about why she is not part of EOE anymore. I can't understand Japanese but it seems from comments of others that it was all very vague and no actual reason was given or it least it wasn't just one reason. But it is a fact that she had a really hard time talking about it all and had to stop a few times because she could not hold back the tears :(
