Seeing these episodes again for the first time in like 20 years is making me so happy, I'm gonna be depressed when I've rewatched them all! :P
I grew up watching this show... Love it
This is the one way to keep lois with us. From the 🇺🇸 to 🇨🇦 with love. She was a American who was Canada's honerary family member. Wonder if she got a citizenship there.
When they sang "This little light of Mine" I thought they were seeing pink elephants like Dumbo did

Another blast from the past, God i wish that there was a network on Dish network, that has only old school TV shows like this one, because kids today don't know what they're missing1, all there is on TV is the stupid shows.

I wonder if this was a real blackout or based off of one? This is filmed in Canada and sometimes they can have bad outages like the Solar Flare of 1989 interfering with Hydro Quebec causing 2 million customers to wake up to dark homes and businesses shut for 12 hours. The USA grid has over 200 various problems but we had power to spare so were able to do last minute work arounds or we would've joined in the fun.

@@haleypierce82793 The Windstar was actually designed by a women who wanted a car for 'seeing America' in so it has extra wide windows and good visibility with minimum blind spots. Dad only pushed the pedal halfway once and that was the only time I got scared because it just shot like a rocket. He NEVER floored it once. The other cars you have to floor it to get it at passing speed and the engine whines and whines struggling to go because they make things crappy now.
@@haleypierce82793 The mini van era was generally a good era. Dad wanted a Windstar type van back in the 80s and 90s but they were not made yet. We had a Dodge Colt Vista Wagon for the longest time as it fit our needs. The mini vans that were out in the 90s were more like a truck then a car with crappy gas millage. The Windtar had 24mpg. We could go from Salem OR to Seattle WA then halfway back the next day without stopping for gas and only because Dad doesn't let it go past the halfway mark or we could've gone further.
What killed the mini van era was the 'Cash for Clunkers' the left for along time has been upset about what they deem 'big cars' and their idea was to get us into tiny electric cars ONLY and everything else illegal so all the car industries retooled themselves to the small cramped design and have them all look alike to keep it simple. The Obama Car was going to be the only car allowed and people who have driven one say the seats are as hard as bricks. The 'Deluxe' size you can cram a passenger in if you don't mind bumping elbows.
The way they would make the Obama Car the ONLY car allowed is they were going to make you pay more at the pump based on how far you drive. If you drive more then 4 miles you pay for each extra mile you drive thru a tax that would be billed when you fill up. The cars would have electronic devices to measure how far you drive. Portland Oregon had a bunch of these devices setup but never turned on due to it being blocked. Cars with blackboxes would be spied on this way.
