Hi sorry I'm not sure about the requirements for an academic visit visa. For a standard visitor visa there was no such requirement for a health insurance document. Hope that helped.
Do I need to bring the printout of the application form to the VFS office?
I don't think it was necessary but yeah I'd advise to take all original documents and print outs at the time of your biometric appointment just in case.
and you said that upload your old and current passports.I do have an old passport but it is blank.Should i just scan the first pages of both passports and upload it ?

I only have one question, I have a sponsor in the UK. I want to visit Uk on a visit visa for six months, but here I am, a freelancer. How can I prove my financial evidence etc., as per my local clients, so I worked on hand-to-cash? Also, I have a closing balance of four lacs in my bank account.
If you have a financial sponsor then you need not worry about your employment status.
I completed my housejob few days back so should i show that im employed or unemployed? I have proof of income like the hospital paying me but i dont really have any savings in thay account. So should i just attach my sponsors statement instead ?
Hi Aiman. I can't give you professional advice as I'm not qualified to do so, plus i'm not fully aware of your personal circumstances.. But from my experience and that of colleagues, if one's sponsor has sufficient funds, then the applicant's bank statements don't matter. The applicant's bank statements do matter if one states they are employed. However, in your case, it sounds like you are no longer employed and hence should not state that you are. Being honest is the best thing. If you feel like your personal circumstances are complex, then seeking the help of an immigration lawyer would be the best approach.

I would advise for you to apply to renew your NIC asap. These days NADRA processes them really fast if you select priority.

Hi, I have one question. Would be great to have your inputs - my parents and brother will be applying for a UK standard visitor visa soon. However, my brother doesnt work and my parents are retired so they can't justify any stable income in the bank statement. However, my father's bank statement can support availability of sufficient funds to manage the trip expenses. Do you think that would suffice? Also I am going to the UK at the same time on work visa, so maybe my family's covering letter could state this point as well to strengthen the application. Please let me know your thoughts on this. A letter on the official letter head should be sufficient

One of the most debated questions out there. I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary but it is preferable.
all those formats, where did you get these from? like for the sponsor letter and affidavit of support etc?

I’m a government employ. And it’s so hard to get NOC. If that’s not needed then that’s great
I can't say if it's a mandatory requirement or not but certainly worth getting if you can. Every bit of evidence strengths the application. If you think your circumstances may a bit more complicated then a safer option would be to consult with an immigration lawyer.

Umm....the affidavit doesn't need to include the bank details. You should mention their bank details in your cover letter.

Hi that's a difficult question for me to answer. You would be better of speaking with a solicitor for that.

Yes. I would advise to take all your original documents. You can never be too sure which documents might come in handy last minute. At the appointment usually the only two documents they ask of you even if you have uploaded everything are your current passport and the UKVI checklist.

My only advise would be to try to publish research papers and gain some teaching exposure. That will build your CV for when you want to apply for residency.

Your sponsor's accounts should be fine. If all other requirements of the application are met.

Hi! If you go through the correct routes I don't see why you wouldn't get a visa. I don't have much experience with your particular situation so i don't know which visa would apply to you. But you could find out on gov.uk

But I was only able to get a return ticket with a return date of Aug 12, 2023. You don't need to attach air tickets. I didn't for my application. You can highlight this point in your cover letter if you want.

I want to know, I am applying for UK visitor visa to travel in July. my sponsor (British) is preparing the supporting documents for me and I will submit them in the VFS by next week once I received them from him. the thing is he is also going to sponsor his other friend who is an Indian. his traveling date is June. he will be there for 28 days in the UK. Thank you for such detailed video. My husband wants to show his cousin sister's husband as his financial sponsor. Can he? And if yes, what documents does he need to provide to prove his relation with his sponsor? It will be of great help if you can make some suggestion in this regard.
Provide your family registration certificates and then family registration certificates of your parents. Then also provide you National ID cards that show the father's name. This should hopefully prove the connection. In addition can provide the affidavit of support for good measure. Then in addition the sponsor will have to show all the financial documents I talked about in the video. Declare the sponsor details in your application clearly.

No you don't need the affidavit. FRC is still useful to prove ties back home.

Just the large sums. And it depends on what kind of contributions they were.

Yes bank statements. Plus may be you have a national ID card with the same Father name? Incase the sister is an adopted sibling then perhaps adoption papers? Anything to certify your relationship. If your situation is not straightforward then the best course of action is to ask an immigration solicitor.

Generally the one with a regular income is the stronger one.

You can either upload scanned copies or take your originals and have them scan it at the time of biometric check.

You can write it in MS word. And i can't say if it's mandatory or not. When it comes to the visa process you don't want to leave any stones unturned.

Hi thishan. Sorry I can't offer immigration advice as I'm not qualified to do so. You will have to ask a lawyer that question. To the best of my knowledge the standard visitor visa is not for work or training purposes. You have separate visa categories for that. Hope that helped.

Mentioning the address is a good idea. You can use all the documents I described in the video as evidence of income. Tax returns are quite good.

Birth Certificate of your brother and their marriage contract to show the links between you and ur brother..If you stay with them you need to provide a tenancy agreement , council tax, ur sister inlaw or ur brother landlord letter ,their financial bank statement if they are the one who will sponsor you and mostly their invitation letter

Hi Hiba. I can't definitively answer that question without having a broad understanding of your personal circumstances. All I can say is that sponsors can be retired and still be able to show proof of regular income through investments or pensions. Retired people can sponsor others provided they meet the financial requirements. If your situation is complex then perhaps consulting with a qualified immigration professional like a lawyer might be the best thing.

Hi Golu. The general advise people give is have 3 times your intended expenses in your sponsor's bank. If your sponsor can show this much then your personal account statement becomes less important. Do share your experience and if 2300£ was enough for you.

That's a very technical area. I'd recommend discussing with a lawyer as loans might not look good on your application.

I can't advise you on what to say or not. However if your trip will be fully sponsored then your financial/employment details are not as relevant as your sponsor's.

Hi..I have applied for my visitor UK visa from my country of residence Oman. if I have mentioned my expenditure in UK is 8410 GBP and I have provided proof of fund of country of residence oman's account statement 1084 pounds and country of origin India's account statement 7882 pounds. Total of both country of residents & origin is 8710 GBP , so both combine covers my total expenditure. Do Immigration team specifically ask for my expenditure coverage fund from country of residence ?? As I have shown less funds in country of residence but more in country of Origin
I'm sorry but I am unaware of the implications of having accounts in two countries. All I know is as long as you have the bank statements, and the money is readily available to you then it's not a problem.
Aoa my mom transferred a huge amount in my account 25 days before my appointment to vfs without telling me i have mention in my cover letter how i received that money and source of money too. Try to explain the transaction in your cover letter and show all the sources of the funds.

Please review gov.uk for the answer to that question. To the best of my knowledge a standard visitor visa is valid for plab 2 and doing a clinical elective in UK only.
IF i show my father as my financial sponsor and also show myself as employed,then i will have to show my bank statement as well,but do i have to give explanations for big transactions here and there in my own bank account ? What if i just show my 6 months salary slips instead of bank statement. My bank statement is too out of order.
So payslips aren't going to be enough. You will have to show your statement. Any large transactions should be explained. Especially in terms of cash going in.

Sorry ihtisham. I can't seem to fully understand your specific situation. Usually the employers recommend to their employees at the start of a job to open an account for transferring salary either through cheque or bank transfer.
You must have an account in your name where you deposit your cheques as well right?
I'm sorry it's all a very confusing process. It can become frustrating as well but the point of it all is to determine you have a legal stable source of income and you can afford to travel to the UK without having to work over there for your sustenance.

Hello there. I recently applied for standard uk visa (6 months), I uploaded all the necessary documents in the application checklist and attended my biometric appointment.
One of the documents requested in the checklist is: invitation from the family member to come to the UK and evidence of their permission to be in the UK.
Actually, I forgot to upload that evidence ( it could be their BRP, enrollment letter in their university, or so).
What would be the situation in this case? Will I receive a non straight forward mail or things will go naturally and receive my visa within the standard times?

Ppl always advice you not to mention that you are taking any plab2 course in the UK bcz they are not official..
There is no problem with mentioning the course so long as you clarify that attending the course is not your primary reason for visit and that this course won't lead to any sort of certification.

My wife breastfeeds them and willing to travel along with them and me also to look after my kids while she goes for her exam. Can she apply for our visa ..can we accompany her . If you don't have a sponsor then you don't need it to prove any relationship. But my advise would be to still attach an frc to show your ties back home. It's not mandatory though.

Apart from that I am employed and I get a decent salary of about 1 lakh Indian rules per month for which I’ll be attaching my payslips, my salary account and my savings account bank statement. My father who still have some amount which he has pledged for my expenses in his account but his bank statements have large transactions which are from people he loaned the amount to and now they’ve paid him back. How should I explain those amount and should those be mentioned in my cover letter or his letter of sponsorship? Kindly guide me.

@@drwajih32hey, I did ask some people and they said though the transactions were high value but they were fairly regular. So they said it would be fine, however I am still waiting for my visa. I appeared for biometrics on 29th August, waiting for the decision. Hopefully it’s in my favour 🤞

Your PLAB 1 was or is in UK?
Dr Wajih, I’m in the process of submitting the standard Visit Visa on behalf of someone, but I’ve got through all the way to the payment page on the gov.U.K. Website without finding the facility to upload the evidence. Im terrified that once I submit I may not be able to do so and the application will risk rejection due to no documentation, a Google search variously tells me I can upload later through VFS and that I should be able to attach as I go along on gov.U.K. (Which is not the case). What do I do please?
You can check your email after your payment...after your payment you can just go to vfs and book an appointment....once u book ur appointment there is is the applicant details and below those there is the self upload...Im on the middle of uploading my dad's supporting docs as well because i fill up the form on behalf of him and he will go to his biometric next week....

Thank you, yes it went exactly as Rwinkle predicted, there is a very good symbiosis between gov.uk and the VFS website which is quite sophisticated and comprehensive, as one can log in directly through both portals using the dedicated link they send by email.

Do i need to explain father's financial circumstances if he is my sponsor.
When he has acquired the funds through sale of land. He will be using those funds to sponsor me.
Do i still need to give his financial history such as tax returns, etc..

You need the same documents just in your name. As far as your job is concerned tell your HR people that you need a letter from them for visa purposes that states your full name, role, salary and the fact that you work there full time/part time. Whatever your contract is.

Yes it is for standard visitor visa. But different people have different reasons for applying for a standard visitor visa. Mine is geared towards doctors going to the UK for PLAB 2.
