I like the forward thinking of your son! Tire changing and such! Next time you have the dbxl apart, pull the pins out and grind a little flat on the center for the grub screw to seat on.
I replaced the pin and did just that. Great info!!! I think the issue was the grub screw was cross threaded slightly and not installed all the way. I tapped the thread and clean it all up. All is good now
This would have been a great time to install the Bartolone. Billet coil spacer. I highly recommend it instead of the plastic spacers that are currently behind the coil
Are there issues with the plastic spacers? I didn’t even know there was a billet option. I’m used to doing isolators for ignition components usually. I’ll check it out
I was brand new to 5th scale when I got my 5T 2.0 but from all the videos I watched before I ever ran it I took it down decently far and locked tighted everything that needed it. Not the same for this case but its a shame a factory issue caused damage to that beautiful billet case man
Yeah I was surprised that it shifted from the factory. I’ve lost a few other screws on it as well early on then went through and loctited everything. Just not the crossshafts on the dogbones. That 5T must be a blast!!!
@@818_Custom_Garage I'm sure you will have a 5t here one of these days lol. Its literally built for racing everything about it is made for short course. Your Baja will always be about speed with its transmission but the losi will always be about the perfect happy medium when it comes to what it was built for like short course racing. I've put some money into my truck without changing the motor so oke day if I get some extra flow my truck will be getting a Taylor RC 46+
@@818_Custom_Garage I'm shitty when it comes to electronics my truck is having s issue where it completely works it just won't hold a ide just wants to rev cause the servo. I have a Futaba 7pxr but no matter what settings I change it to keeps doing the same thing I don't get it. Just waiting on my beefy throttle cable to come in hopefully taking the bend out of my throttle cable helps idk
@@antilagboostaddiction8322 I’ve found making sure the throttle rods are freely moving is huge. Also triple checking the end point adjustments. Sometimes the throttle will be sporadic if the adjustment on the brakes is off as well. Hope you figure it out soon!!!
That’s awesome to hear!!!! I could not get it to work with the factory SLT3. And good call on using a splitter. I had the sr515 so figured I would use it. What switch are you using on the transmitter to run the kill switch

Check out the Bartolone velocity stack best on the market
Agreed the Rooster Tail stack is awesome as well especially combined with there 990 carb that's what I have on my 5t right now
Will definitely check it out!!

It's a great video and you can do a velocity stack on there
I totally think it would help the motor. The stock intake setup just seems subpar

I run the MOD Killswitch on all my fifth scales
I really like them so far. I tested it on Baja and it work’s awesome.
I installed dynamite kill switch without changing tx and zero problem at all i just bought splitter for the lights and kill switch

@@818_Custom_Garage i just used the auxiliary channel.
That current intake set up is crap
I agree!!! There isn’t a lot of space but I’m doing my research. Thanks for all the great suggestions!!!
