I love having these video tutorials. I watched this before and din't have a specific application at the time. This time I did and now I've got it. Thanks!
Looks like a very good feature. Is this worth the cost of another year of subscription? Subscription fees are kind of high for incremental improvements.
Well... some might say that Flip Along takes three clicks (right-click on iten, then click Flip Along, then choose the axis color) while Flip only takes two (click the tool, then click the colored plane) and that is saving you a click... but you are more than entitled to prefer and use Flip Along!
Same with me. Old version was way better and more quick. Now you have to spend time looking for your tool. Another thing i hate about the new versions is all tools have same colours making it hard to distinguish them an example is the old pink eraser tool. Easy and fast to find.
It would be great if sketchup content creators made it clear in the beginning if this is applicable to sketcup free, sketchup pro or both. Without the up front info, one has to watch the entire video to find out.
tantas espectativas con la nueva version, y solo ha producido desilusion...so many expectations with the new version, and it has only produced disappointment
Yes!!! Struggles with flipping geometry are over. Thank you!

Yasss! Haha, just like Aaron said, so often had to “flip along” a couple of times until the object came out correctly. The tool I’ve always wanted!
Hello Aaron. Clear explanation and a nice new feature in SU2023! Being able to shift the "rotation point" works especially nicely.Thanks.
Much appreciated new feature -- I flip objects all the time. The use of arrow keys (not mentioned in the video) is also great. Keep up the good work.

Flip along was cumbersome no doubt, it's needed an upgrade for years. I'm happy to SU has introduced it in the new version.
THANK YOUUUUU
Im enjoyed with that . I will repeat the video many times 😅😅😅 nice job .. thanks 🙏
I like it a lot, I use it for Knee braces on every drawing i do
Good 👍
thank you
I liked the older way of right clicking and flip along when the select or move tools was in use. I didn't have to select a tool to do that.

@@SketchUp Flip along doesn't appear anymore in 2023. It's there in 2022.

Good note, thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the great explanation. Did I see a modifier key in there that said Suspend Gravity, or was that unrelated?
hi sir, i m using online version of sketchup. Can u make videos for that also
Neat tool but I just checked my version, upgraded to 2023 and the flip tool does not appear to be available, what am I missing?
Had to add, reloaded 2023 and it is now available.
aaron on windows :)
it's a little unusual
Or just simply do the mirror option?
👌👍👍👍
Insanely tricky...Sketch Up should develop separate icons for copy and mirror like AutoCAD and Revit
Wow! This new command will save me at least 5 minutes per month. This is an improvement?
I guess that all depends on how much you need to flip objects. It could help save some people quite a bit of time. Your mileage may vary.
