My mother was born and grew up in Lancaster county PA. She's not Amish but grew up with them and my great uncle sold his farm to them. I was sent back to "the old country" by my mother at 21 to see how things are done. You can survive just fine without electricity. You just need alot of land. Oh and children. Don't have those and live in a condo with no kids. Things go wrong nice to have known you. We'll see?

Most Amish don't own pressure caners they water bath can for 4 to 6 hrs meats included. Quarts 6 hrs or more any over open flame in many cases. People around the world don't own pressure caners and wonder why we in the USA buy them and why we listen to the FDA when the Amish trust the methods they know and use.
Most of the earth does not can food. Pressure canners save tons of fuel and shorten the process. Pressure cookers for meals are very common in all the 'Istans' like Afghanistan. Also Pakistan and India.
Most if not all Amish have electricity now and fridges… got Amish community’s near Wichita Kansas also they run a restaurant and bake shop that sells their homemade goods to everyone, best cinnamon rolls you ever had… how do you think they made them???🤔
Electricity is a very expensive luxury. You don’t need it, you’re right. Another worse thing ever is cell phones /internet. Either. How many younger kids bump into you, you’re standing there back to them not seeing them coming BUT know they’re there after they bump you saying oh sorry. They walk with their head down and the thumbs just a going 😄. Too much time is spent staring at screens. I started to but caught myself thinking ohhh NO WAY. I text my kids, they all live out of town - I started leaving the phone on the kitchen table- as a house phone. I do no tech Tuesdays and don’t use it on sabbath day either. Only as a phone - I watch videos on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night a movie 👍. I get more work done inside and out. I enjoy my woods again rain or shine. I’m happier 🥰 And happier without power too
Electricity creates negative field in the house even though wiring is insulated. We literally killing ourselves and wonder what's killing us. People notice that they feel much better in a wilderness. That's because there isn't electric field of miriad of electric cables there!

Thank you very much AMISH people👍👍

@@eileenfb1948 spends a lot of time advertising for the Amish ways. Is the book by an Amish?

The Amish have power generators powered by natural gas and they have freezers.
