It’s interesting seeing the juxtaposition between this palatte for $88 and the Devinah palatte for $77. I love Devinah as a brand, but it’s undeniable that this pallet is a much better value for only being $10 more.
Thank you for swatching the whole palette! It was helpful. I love the color story. I think it would be my perfect palette if they took off one or two rows of shades ( mostly the pastels because I don’t really use them) and then it would hopefully be less expensive too. I can’t justify spending that amount on one palette. But it is really dreamy. The artwork on it is beautiful too.
I feel it is way too expensive, even tho there are the special shadows. Maybe the brand should consider singles or smaller palettes to keep the price down. Also, the shipping time is a big deterrent for me, given that I have received palettes/shadows from some Indie brands within 5-7 days, sometimes less. Just my opinion....
Im not sure if their shipping time is always so long but my order was during the holiday season which can definitely increase things. I’m not mad at it because they were upfront. I just hate when brands take longer than they say it’ll take

Oh my gosh, that palette is SO PRETTY!!! I’m so glad you got it so I can admire it vicariously. Whenever I get off my no/low buy, this will be at the top of my wish list! Thanks for the excellent review! ✨
My first purchase from ER was the Midwinter Dream and I have bought every eyeshadow palette since then and besides Natasha Denona this is my favorite indie brand. I love adept but some of the shimmers crease and Ensley Reign's eyeshadows have not creased on me, so it dethroned adept, but I still love adept.
❤I fell in love with this brand straight away after receiving their palettes. I recently ordered the Lands of Enchantment when it released and also the Harvest Moon palette along with it. I was SO impressed with the quality of both of them. Yes they are pricey but they pack a multitude of complex shimmer shades, multi and duochromes in their palettes and their pans are all magnetized and removable, which I appreciate. I instantly ordered the Cold Moon palette when I saw that releasing since Cool Tones are truly my favorite. Can’t wait!❤
Thank you for swatches! I actually passed on this palette but fell in love with Cold Moon and purchased that one instead 😊 I love Ensley Reign palettes 👋🩷🩵🤎💚💛🧡
For eye primer I always got the urban decay, but this year I'm starting with the milani eye primer. So far I really like it and it was a reasonable price! This palette is gorgeous. I would have to save up for it, but these color stories and shimmers seem worth it to me compared to non-indie palettes.
Its pretty ironic when small indie business decides they won't support and pay artists and instead use low quality AI generated junk. There are ongoing lawsuits against programs like Stable Diffusion because of artists having their work fed to the AI without permission, to the point of AI even replicating their signatures and watermarks. It all looks ridiculous too -- differently colored and sized pupils and irises looking in different directions, hair strands magically appearing out of nowhere, artifacts and random pixels everywhere. Before I knew any better I bought the Midwinter palette made by Brittany Huffman. The image on the front is absolute crap quality, not suited for printing at all. And it's telling that Brittany herself has cut all ties to ER and you can no longer see any of her looks or swatches using that palette.
@@AmyLovesMakeup I'm not upset with you at all. It's something that ER seems to not ever want to share unless we press them about it. Happy New Year Amy! Thank you for doing this video. I would love to hear a review for this brand from someone that did not receive it in a PR. Just because of my conspiracy theory that PR product quality might be different from the ones sold to the public 😂
I won a palette from a brand and this brand is well known in the indie world. The shimmers were AWFUL. Mattes were good. I need to get rid of it but the packaging is truly an art piece. I see why people think or is shady after that experience.
Their products look amazing...I just can't afford such a high price tag at the time. AND the shipping is like over $13 from Oregon to me in Indiana. I just don't understand that. Glad for those that got it and love it, though!
Perfect as I get ready to film my first video for 2024 hehe! I’m doing favorite palettes and singles. I want to try this brand, it all looks so pretty. That cold moon palette has been tempting me! Thank you so much for all your amazing content and the hard work you put into it to keep us informed indie makeup consumers! I cannot wait to see what you do this year and I hope you had a happy new year celebration! Def buying this palette after this video 😍 Random Q, where did you buy the amber light from in the back? its such a lovely touch to your pretty room!!🤗💓💓💓
I don't understand why influencers always go on about the price of these palettes. Anyone interested in this palette isn't just an average makeup consumer. Big ND palettes and PML palettes are more with less special shades and most of the time the mattes aren't this interesting. I'm not knocking them, I have some from both brands and I like them a lot. I just feel like indie brands have it rough because I feel like everyone expects indie to be amazing and affordable. If I want something cheap, I go to the drug store. This is a 25 pan palette. ER new formula is insane.
I'd argue with PML and ND you're getting a name, reputation and packaging. With indie, it's a little uncertain of whether or not they're sourcing their materials. So many brands hide their country of origin, ingredients, hide white label/private label status and other things. Not the biggest deal, it's just makeup at the end of the day.
Pmg and ND also have sales as well!! I *never* by either full price. Price was the other thing putting me off since if I only by 3-4 palettes a year like I would have to spend $134 on a palette when a mothership I can sometimes get half off!
Price definitely matters. These palettes are filling a void in the makeup world that I feel has been seriously lacking. It's creative and high quality. Influencers have been hesitant to buy up until harvest moon, and they were making high end palettes before then. I didn't see a lot of reviews because no one got it in PR. Strawberry moon is a top notch palette, but I haven't seen many people use that palette bc no one wanted to take a chance and buy. ND has had some serious duds. (I am talking to you 129 dollar safari palette) And PML is on repeat at the moment, but no one is as hesitant to pick up the new palettes and review them. All I am saying is 1. I appreciate brands like ER. It fills a void in my heart. 2. I believe high end indie brands have it harder. 3. Times is tougher on everyone right now with money. I am going to place my money on brands like this in lieu of mainstream. 4. I love and own PML and ND. I use them as comparison bc they are top notch. 5. I totally respect everyone here and their opinions. I love makeup and love watching makeup videos and appreciate the creators who make content. I also want people to know that just bc there is not a lot of content about certain brands doesn't mean they aren't great. I am sure it's hard to send a lot of PR with good quality like this. I just think this brand deserves some hype.
I ended up caving and purchasing this pallette recently. I felt the same way you did that it was so expensive I was hesitant to buy from them. I'm still waiting for it to ship but the website says 15 days processing so I can't be made at it. Hopefully it's worth it!
I have the J Starr Jawbreaker palette and NEVER reach for it. Therefore, I don’t think the pastels would interest me :/. I gravitate towards the dark colors. It seemed like the first row looked a bit difficult to swatch. That could be because it is pastel as well.
I'm hoping it will be around long enough for me to afford to get it. Two questions though where did you get your cabinet in the background and what color are your nails they're gorgeous. Hope you have a wonderful new year.
The brand is a little pricier, but the product is worth it. I've bought every palette since back when they had the Zodiak palettes. I've never been disappointed. I find all the comments about pricing funny considering Devinah, ShineBySD, and many more have higher proced palettes with less special shades. I don't get how it's okay for some brands but not others. But either way, the Ensley palettes are stunning. And so many special shades. I can't not buy them.
Hi, would you buy ensley reign over glossgods? I would like to buy either Lands of enchantment or the colours of rain by glossgods... I can't make up my mind 😅
Have you tried Bella Beautebar yeah there process time is up to a month I contact them twice both times very rude asking them about my order since it's been 2 weeks. 1st they told a week for processing, then 2 then 3 or more. By the 3rd time I connected them told me either wait or get refund. I told them I want to try there formula can you shipped or refund it. They refund it. The palette was on pre-order it was on sale. Also they deleted my comments on Instagram also
I really want to be able to buy this palette and others from Ensley Reign, they're gorgeous! But claiming handmade indie status with the accompanying high prices while admitting the eyeshadow palettes are made in a factory in China is dishonest and harmful to the indie community. The handmade claims are quite noticable. The factory made admission is in one place couched in flowery language. I'll spend my money with other authentic indie brands who value and respect their customers
If that is USD100, there ain't no way this Australian is paying our AUD equivalent! Makeup and niche perfumes are getting out of hand with their pricing. I'll stick to Natasha and anything else indie under AUD75.
No negativity towards you- I feel this brand is overpriced for multiple reasons. As a graphic designer (also have a degree in it so I know it’s hard work and takes energy) -I can’t in good conscience support any brand that uses AI art to in their products to sell. I think everyone should be compensated for their work or at least if a brand uses Adobe stock images those artists still receive a nominal fee so it’s fair. Also I find the design uncanny and unattractive. I rather it be plain packaging like Adept does a lot than something gaudy looking. This reminds me of the Aurora palette from CP. I rather use that plus my Devinah multichromes for a similar vibe. ❤
As an artist myself I relate to this comment so much, even if the formula is great, I believe I can find other great formulas from brands that don’t use AI art. Check out the unearthly cosmetics covers, they’re gorgeous artworks
@@blancacontreras5526 Unearthly does have beautiful artwork! I think if a brand can’t afford or doesn’t want to pay an artist, they can do plain solid colored packaging or some very simple design that they can do themselves. 🙂
This brand has not done anything to upset me as a customer but apparently they have upset a whole bunch of people because they don't use actual artists for their artwork but rather use AI images. I didn't realize people had such a soft spot for artists compared to brand creators...
Tbh the ethics behind ai, especially the scraping of data without permission, are terrible tho and honestly I’m glad people speak up!! I know they got an ai prompter; but some of the paid prompters are the worse, cause they’ll literally enter in the style of certain artists. It’s so bad. I think it’s not something to be cancelled but it just gives a lot of people the ick and the more education about the more people can just realise hey this isn’t appropriate? 😅
I just received my cold moon palette and no free gift. Very disappointing. The free gift helps justify the pricing for me so definitely something to think about for future purchases.

All I am saying is
My husband didn't realize the shipping times so i didn't get my Christmas present on time. He ordered 2 palettes, but no free gift lol.
Way too expensive for me but absolutely gorgeous!
I ended up caving and purchasing this pallette recently. I felt the same way you did that it was so expensive I was hesitant to buy from them. I'm still waiting for it to ship but the website says 15 days processing so I can't be made at it. Hopefully it's worth it!
I ordered the new cold moon, only issue is shipping takes forever
I have the J Starr Jawbreaker palette and NEVER reach for it. Therefore, I don’t think the pastels would interest me :/. I gravitate towards the dark colors. It seemed like the first row looked a bit difficult to swatch. That could be because it is pastel as well.
That Mike Wazowski comment. 😂😂 Never thought I'd be jealous of a monster's eyelid space, buuut...
I'm hoping it will be around long enough for me to afford to get it. Two questions though where did you get your cabinet in the background and what color are your nails they're gorgeous. Hope you have a wonderful new year.
Beautiful 💙💛❤💚💜
I would buy every one of those pastel matte shades if they released them as singles! So pretty. 😻
I think I will pass on them indefinitely. It is nice looking though
Hi im new here hope that you don't mind that I'm a guy i love makeup I love your video
Lol you're hilarious you should look up what a starseed is 😅😂
This brand has not done anything to upset me as a customer but apparently they have upset a whole bunch of people because they don't use actual artists for their artwork but rather use AI images.
Did it show up in your cart when you checked out? I had to add it.
@@AmyLovesMakeup how did you add it? I got one with lands of enchantment and didn’t add anything and nothing was in my cart either.
@@cherylb_88 Im sorry I thought this comment was on the elf video I just did with freebies 😩😩 I didn’t add the ER one to my cart it just showed up I’m not sure why
@@AmyLovesMakeup it’s ok thank you for getting back to me. They must only include a free gift with your first purchase which is pretty shitty to not include one in all orders.
I just can’t support a company that uses AI art.
Too bad they use AI art instead of supporting real artists
