I grew up in the 50’s and went barefooted all summer outside. My little feet were so toughen up….boy I couldn’t do that now. 😂 These precious children lift my old heart every week. 🦶
You are providing hours of fun. When I was growing up in the 70’s, we couldn’t afford a pool, so we used a 33 gallon garbage can as our pool for the 3 of us.
The neighborhood kids would set up sprinklers on everyone's front lawn. We would start at one end of the street and run to the other end, and repeat until we got tired.

Evie is so gregarious and uninhibited and adorable. Your children are having a wonderful home life because of the hands on style of parenting they receive. Both Momma and Papa make sure each child receives a full measure of attention and affection. Joy, your corrections are learning and reinforcement interactions that get excellent results. I wish I could have done half as good at being a parent. Do you think growing up in such a large family gave you an education in how best to handle children?

Love how you raise your children to burn off energy. It worked for me when I was a child. Shame so many kids stay inside and just play video games or look at their phone. 💜💙💚

If you just used regular thread to mend the hole in the trampoline net it may not be strong enough to hold if the kids fall against the net in that area but if you can find some military thread that stuff is the strongest thread and will hold it forever….learned from personal experience.I laughed when you made the obstacle course to get out the kids energy and even after they did it multiple times they still had a crazy amount of energy for after 7 at night and after being in the fresh air running around all day. I wish you could bottle me just a quarter of your kids energy.Gideon is fast. I bet he’ll be really good in sports as he gets older. The first time Evie did the obstacle course when she got to the higher stick she had to jump over you could see her trying to psych herself up to jump over it.She is just the cutest.People often go out and spend a lot of money buying jungle gyms,etc for their kids but like you did you can use just basic stuff around your house to provide them hours of entertainment…often even more than the stuff people buy. Hope you feel better soon and tat Austin gets some rest this weekend.I’ll be back next week to see what your sweet family is up to.Have a nice weekend😊

That necklace with the first letter of each of your kid's name is a nice touch something you will cherish forever.
They're all so cute, but Gunner grabs at my heart! He smiles all the time, and it just broke my heart to hear he had a hard time last week.
