Halo Infinite is a first-person shooter game developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is the sixth mainline entry in the Halo series and the third in the "Reclaimer Saga" following Halo 5: Guardians.
The campaign follows the human supersoldier Master Chief and his fight against the enemy Banished on the Forerunner ringworld Zeta Halo, also known as Installation 07.

One of my favorite details is if you pull out a grav hammer or an energy sword near an elite who is wielding an energy sword they challenge you to a duel.
i’m pretty sure that just happens when you get close to them, but i like to imagine it the other way
I had an elite approach me with his sword drawn, thinking he had an easy kill. As soon as I pulled out my sword, he immediately backed off.
i adore the elites in this, theyre as they used to be. Regal, eloquent assassins. Even on easier difficulties still an opponent to think a bit on. Plus the fact that i had a regular ol blue elite take my commando i dropped and fuckin 6 shot me blew me away in a few ways
@@hhhhhhhhhhhhhhnnnngh i played on easy my first run, you are god damn right they are an opponent, their shield still takes forever to break with kinetic weapons and energy sword does like 1/4 of your shield per hit. also, even with the final upgrade for grapple unlocked, their shield will still stay intact, even if its a blue elite.
In a multiplayer match I shot someone with the Skewer and he didnt die, normally that’s a one shot kill. I thought WTF?? So I went back and looked in theater mode, slowed it down, the player I shot was in the process of switching his weapons, as he pulled the battle rifle up to aim, my skewer shot actually hit the battle rifle which deflected the shot and knocked the rifle out of his hands sparing his life 😳
That's actually crazy.

He probably dropped his weapon, if you time it correctly (or accidentally) dropping a weapon or picking up a different weapon can block skewer shots as they hit the dropped weapon and not the person
@@Majistymills that's insane, I wonder how difficult to do that is. Probably not intended by the game designers, but also probably too hard to do reliably and sacrifices your own weapon to save yourself so probably not game-breaking.

The fact that grunts comms officer knows master chief real name makes him the one of the most op character.
It's crazy if you think about it. Would you be afraid of someone named John, or someone named Master Cheif, if you didn't know they were the same person?

I found one of those views with the music cues by accident. It was nostalgic as hell to just sit there gazing at the vista and remembering all the good times I've had in Halo.

Another detail: Marines can now pick up better weapons on the ground than whatever they're carrying
Enemies will do the same
Also depending on the range, an Elite will swap out his for a shock rifle or depending on what's there for longer encounters
Also they crouch and literally touch the weapon they're going to pick up instead of having it magically appear on their hands
I really love that, no need to handle the spankr everytime you encounter a marine, they search for the best weapon depending on the situation

Another cool detail that sounds obvious but I never realized. The Banished react to your flashlight, so if they’re sleeping or simply don’t see you, you flip the flashlight on they’ll notice.
I love the mechanic where elites activate their shields when in combat. It makes stealth and scouting more rewarding and encourages you to prioritize killing the elite first. I used this tactic so much on legendary.
Same for crouching, you can sneak up to any enemy for a silent kill. You can allow pull it off by walking, but enemies turn around once you're in melee range
@@TheLivelovelaugh165 sleeping grunts will not wake up unless you bump into them which is handy, but sleeping grunts can actually hear other grunts die and will wake up so you really got to measure the distance so they won't wake up or take your chances with guns blazing. also another tip, most enemies will not react to friendlies dying unless they see the friendly die, i figured that out from sniping with the BR.
That grunt propaganda fella is the best thing about the game.

me too cracked me up honestly tho lol
Only issue I had with this game, is that the environment was way too similar in every level. Thought they would include some beach scenes, or extreme jungles. Heck, first Halo we stormed the beach like Normandy and later on, ran through the snow like we were in Siberia. Other than that, great game.

Yeah I haven’t played through the campaign yet but looking at the Multiplayer maps I thought the campaign levels would have variety. Halos have all kinds of biomes and terrains. Deserts, jungles etc. sucks its all the same.
343 put so much love into this game that should not go unnoticed. They've redeemed themselves imo

same, that is somehting i never noticed. but it does not make much sense? like chief does not active his shields that are always active. so i dont really get it. maybe the banished is a low budget covenant?
@@maximusgladi8or They have been there for 6 months, they are probably conserving the energy for big fights, which they do not expect after 6 months of nothing (and considering that the Banished modify and salvage stuff, maybe the shields that they have use more power)
@@Edo_Ginting well actually, the Banished having a more powerful shield but is one that requires more energy is a good way of explaining this detail and the higher difficulties as well where they have like 3x of Chief's shield.
@@maximusgladi8or I believe it's been a feature in lore the whole time, it just took making an open world concept to justify making it a gameplay feature.
@@maximusgladi8or nope, shields take a lot of energy, however spartans have built in dynamos to refill the energy to a degree. Also the banished have stronger shields which consume more energy. We also need to remember that they live there and are inactive. Unlike the readily prepared troops from other games
Hey dude I recently find another detail, sometimes the armor of the enemies will get battle damage dependent on your shots

@@nyxys7419 Yeah Its very rare because you are usually in combat but you can see the pieces fall appart and they get damaged by the shots

Minor spoiler for the campaign:
When you free Spartan Griffin, you can feel his heartbeat in your controller vibration. It progressively gets fainter and slower until he dies.

Story is pretty decent also, I like that the antagonist shows the Master Chief how they were able to defeat them so easily. Both characters show a degree of respect for one another.
I liked that too until he decided to take literally EVERY opportunity to contact us throughout the game and ramble......absolutely RAMBLE about how good he and the banished are. Some speeches being only a min apart 🙄😂

A few day ago when I played this I had completely forgotten that the marines like to cheer when you jump the warthogs. Eventually I made a really big jump and one of them goes: YEAH!! SUCK IT GRAVITY!!
And I lost it 😆.

@@chrislair6832 i think it was a spot between two different “islands” where you can jump a vehicle from one side to the other. I’ve only ever done that once cause the other gaps seem way to big.
They also say something like 'did you clear this with air traffic control' and 'that was crazy, let's do that again!' all so good

Idk if it’s been mentioned yet, but when a phantom or pelican gets near to the ground, it makes the nearby vegetation blow everywhere (like a helicopter irl). I think it’s a pretty cool addition for a big open world like that
They really nailed Halo infinite
They did such a great job on the campaign and all the little details but just went and shit on customization and multi-player.

Another big one you missed is Chief’s Password ‘Samuel’ - the 5th Member of Blue Team who died when the team attacked a Covenant Carrier
They didn't "miss" it, its only 11 details not "every" detail.
Now I finally know why the password for deletion was "Samuel."

The amount of work that went into the game is unbelievable. I think the most impressive thing is in the campaign when 2 AI's talk to each other and their dialogue is connected. I was with 2 Marines once and one said something like "See any enemies?" And another replied "I'm all clear" or something like that.
I also noticed that the grunts have different voices depending on their armor
Yeah I heard somewhere that the grunt mules were older more experienced grunts meanwhile the basic grunts are younger and generally more cowardly
I threw myself from a cliff in a razorback with a couple marines and one said :

not really. a lot of them are just thiungs you would expect. like the scope thing has been there since halo CE.

Because most of these are already common knowledge. They were the main talking points during development. For example you're more likely to run into Jackals at night specifically because it accentuates their shields
I love the forerunner structures in this game, it gives me vibes from the older halo games.
I really wish they added the halo ce night vision on the sniper that would have been amazing
irl tho that wouldn't really make sense because we are now developing digital NVs that don't make everything green, and also potentially be able to differentiate infrared and normal light, so 500+ years in the future NVs would just light up the vision
I had a sniper on the boss with the red energy sword, shit was so useful, aside from my threat sensor, but it was awesome being able to just know where he is by wildly looking around

The manual detonation of grenades by firing at them have been around on previous halos too I just can’t remember how far back it was.
Halo CE had it, although you had to use an explosive to detonate them

I hate when games (and such) have their audio poorly mixed so that the person just stops talking and waits for the other person to "cut them off."
I love that they don't have their shields up constantly. Not only does it give you a chance for easy kills, but it makes the situation more believable.
I'd trade a lot of this for the "amazing detail" of enemies running out of ammo and grenades. ...or forge. ...or cooperative play in the campaign. ...even enemies not seeing through foliage and the ground. ...or enemies not having stronger shields, more health, nearly perfect aim, faster target locks, etc.
Finally, I found someone who isn't bootlicking! I agree with your points, but I feel enemies running out of ammo could be a bit game breaking at times, especially when it comes to enemies with power weapons. Unless they were given an easy way to replenish their ammo
This little moments, grunt dialogue,the propaganda tower dude and little details in general, add so much to the experience. Great game 343

When I jumped of a Cliff with marines in the warhhog and heard the voice lines for the first time, I jumped from my chair from happiness. Truly, some OG Halo CE vibes right there. A true successor to my favourite game of all time. Infinite is just incredible.

That last clip... I went to that spot looking for a skull in my own playthrough. Was really cool to find the song instead.
I think it's cute that at nighttime the grunts go to sleep but the elites are still watching over them being like here ya go lil buddy have some rest ill keep watch

Can someone explain to me real quick why the Spartans look more like Halo 3 Spartans again? I remember they looked like power rangers in Halo 4/5
In universe explanation is that they've upgraded to Mjolnir Mk7, Gen 3 armor whereas in 4 and 5 they were using mk 6 gen 2. Out side of that, not many people liked the other designs and so they reverted to the older style
to be honest, it's more like reach's armor. While the Master Chief's is more akin to the Halo legends "The Package" Armor
Because they realized their mistakes and want to make the old fans happy again.
Also, in 4/5, iirc, some armors are Sangheili/UNSC design that's why they look kinda weird. (Or that's just their excuse... It's a good one though)

I remember getting an accidental double kill on that one multiplayer map where the mancannon takes you to the top cliff with a sniper spawn
I had a stalker rifle and i killed two people and assumed it was a snipeltaneous but i saw the medal and it turns out i shot the dynamo grenades.
