Oak Cliff is the oldest community of Dallas. And also known to be haunted. As for the chicken and eggs that's voodoo rituals. Judging by where the chicken was located it could of been a ancestor of one of the slaves leaving a hex on a white grave in which this person or family may have did something bad. It's not unusual to see this in southern states.

I LIVED IN OAK CLIFF FOR 40 YEARS NEVEF HEARD OF THAT CEMETARY...ON DAVIS ST OFF NORTH WESTMORELAND ROAD IS A VERY SMALL CEMETARY WHERE BONNIE.PARJER OR CLYDE BARROW IS BURIED....AT ONE TIME. YEARS AGO. OAK CLIFF WAS AN ABSOLUTELY IDEAL PLACE TO LIVE..I WILL ALWAYS SAY IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PART OF DALLAS...I SEE ITS CHANGED SO MUCH BUT IT WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SOECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART.

They are part of the Merrifield family cemetery. The Merrifields owned many acres in that area. Their descendants still own land near Kiest and Spur 408. I believe the cemetery was much larger, maybe even extending on to the west side of Hampton. I remember in the 80s there was an a newspaper article about the owners of the house adjacent to the cemetery claiming their house was haunted. Kristi

She grinned delightfully on executions of native americans and had compassion describing slaves being buried on the least pleasant land downhill. 🤣

Love your video! The Adolphus Andrews buried here is the father of the WWI Naval Commader. He is Adolphus Rutherford Andrews 1831-1900. His son Adolphus Andrews was married to my distant cousin and they are buried in Denison, Texas.

So my great Uncle Thomas W Field was sometimes called the father of Oak Cliff. He's buried with his wife Florence Peak at Greenwood Cmetery in uptown.

I passed by this cemetery today and found this video while trying to find more info.
This video is so disrespectful and appalling. Speaking so happily about the slaughter of native americans, and poking though items clearly left for religious purposes. So disgusting to see. 🤦🏻‍♀️
