Haha, tell me about it. Once I finished the transposing I took a look at it and was like "ahhhh, crap."

The original, if I'm not mistaken, is just half a tone lower. So play everything that is written in this video, but half a tone lower, just to get C major(or A minor?) without key characters

im pretty sure the key signature is wrong, it should be in bflat no?

I wish it was wrong. Trust me. I wouldn't have played 7 sharps if I didn't feel the need to play the original key lol

I actually just double checked my Ableton Project...so what I did was reference musicnotes.com who always has the "correct" key from the source. They say it's E Major, which would be 4 sharps for a piano. You move that into Bb Trumpet key, it becomes 7.
The reason why half a step lower sounds right though is because the song itself doesn't seem to have been recorded in standard tuning. When I did my transcription, I couldn't get the notes to sound right. I knew the intervals were correct, but the notes sounded wrong. I noticed that if I tuned the song up by 40 cents (not quite a half step, which would be 50), it sounded right in line. I think at the time I maybe tried the other way, taking my whole transcription down half step and tuning the song down by 10 cents, but that didn't sound right *at all*.
I also make the instrumentals for these videos and I play them side by side with the original, the 10 cents + half step down on my end just sounded sooooo bad. Only thing that sounded right was my original transcription based on music notes key signature and bumping the song up by 40 cents.
I accepted my own pathetic lack of knowledge on music theory and went with it lol
