@7lthus951 Do you really wanna see the proof of my purchase on T-Mobile? I had the 256GB Deep Purple 14 Pro Max and yes there was bugs and glitches every day I used the device. Constant app crashes, keyboard would bug out from time to time, the camera would bug out, and there was lag while using the device itself. I have been with Apple for years, every Pro Max other then the 11 Pro Max also had the XS Max, 11, 12 mini, and 6s Plus. I have never seen a crappy iPhone as the 14 Pro Max was.
@7lthus951 So don't sit here and judge a book by its cover cause you have no clue what people can afford. If I can afford a $1200 flagship Samsung then what makes you think I can't afford an iPhone? You sound dumb right now bro.

Excellent review - I've had this phone for 6 weeks and I'm still learning about its capabilities. All the pros and cons you mentioned are right on. Kudos to you.
The s23 ultra is the best phone I've ever used and owned coming from the s10 plus and why i gave the a53 to my mother. The Samsung s23 ultra is better than the iPhone 14 pro max and Pixel no comparison, and I've used all 3. For those of us who know tech, we always knew Samsung was way more fun to use with more capabilities than the iPhone. I used to be an apple sheep many, many years ago, and then I transitioned and never went back. I remember apple phones being the most boring limited phones I've used. The only thing I use on my old iPhone 6s is the imessage period. Even using the 14 pro max irritates me because my s23 ultra does way more. Also, the camera is way better than the iPhone and more fun unlimited features. IPhone sometimes give the perception of better battery because it doesnt do anything basically. Now, with the pixel, I don't prefer the operating system, but I respect the pixel camera. Only gripe I have is the missing micro SD card. When it comes to those things like edge panel multi tasking, and 10 x perfect clarity, UHD 60 and hdr 10 video , all those unlimited features are close to perfect. The s23 ultra is the most value for the money, no comparison!
Agree with the micro SD card, it is very good if they had retain this one feature on the samsung phone. But what can we do if that is the manufacturer's preference in creating this techy phones nowadays😊, they increase the phone memory by eliminating the portable memories😂(SD card).

I recently got my s23 ultra about 2 weeks ago. All i can say is it is a great device that lasts all day. I did immediately order a glass screen protector and and spigan case same day delivery. I waited to use the device until it came in a few hours tp my door and honestly made me not worry about the device nearly as much it feels like a tank, yet light.

Never been so happy with a phone until I sold all my apple products and got the s23 ultra absolutely love this phone so much it's perfect to me so happy I left apple I am much more happier 😊
My guess is that, by now, how many chargers do we have? We buy what we want that usually isn't OEM so I can understand why accessoires are no longer included. If we buy the ultra, you can bet we are buying our own preferred aftermarket products that are better. I hated to give up my 512GB micro card from the Note 10+ but an issue I had with one app was fixed by moving the books from the micro card into internal storage. I did get a micro card reader with a C connection. It isn't meant to be permanent but it helps take away the pain of not behaving external memory. I realize now that removable memory can be limiting to the performance of the phone which is why it has been eliminated from high end phones. My opinion, of course. :)
Another good review. I prefer avoid super fast charging because it will degrade your battery much quicker and you run the risk of overheating or worse. I fly R/C Planes, we fast charge the LiPo's as a result they have a much shorter usable life. Why are all reviews hooked on low light photographs? I rarely take night time photos and when I do I want them to be a faithful representation of what I am seeing.
Very good point about fast charging. The Chinese brands that have pushed the envelope here do seem to direct heat to the charger itself but 45W is plenty for me and honestly I tend to slow charge my phone whilst doing other things anyway. I'll keep doing that when I probably get an S23 Ultra soon, but I do have the 45W Samsung charger from the A70 so if I do need those speeds for a faster top-up I can get them.
I get up to 2 1/2 days of battery life life with moderate usage, settings all mexed out. As for battery charging speeds in a 1 hour time frame, no issuse with that at all. The build quality is 💯 and performance......no complaints. However the cost is very high at CAD$1800+ for the 256GB model
Using both the Pixel 6 Pro and the S23 Ultra, the Pixel gives me greater point and shoot confidence because sometimes focus on the S23 ultra can be a hit or miss especially when you're walking, on a ride, and you just want to grab a quick focused shot. Picture quality wise it's good. But an unfocused image can ruin even the best processed images.
Had to retire my pixel 6pro!! It has a hard time doing daily task!! Glad yours is still going good!! Just picked up the s23 ultra and it's night and day in performance!! 👊🏼
You left one of the biggest items that you neglected to touch on in this review of this expensive phone was the stereo speakers and their sound quality. I currently have over 5200 songs stored on my phone and wanted to know how those speakers sound. Many cell phone users do play music over there phones and I'm amazed that you left that out of this supposed in depth review.
Great video (as usual).....Upgraded from a Note 20 Ultra 5G to the S23 Ultra 5G just for the camera and it has been spectacularly successful. Was always disappointed with the camera quality of the Note 20. Used the S23 as my only camera during a trip through Europe in late '23 and the quality across the ~17k photos is overwhelmingly breathtaking.
You covered alot. Thank you. I just traded in my Note 20 Ultra (which made me cry a little) for this phone because I essentially only paid a couple hundred bucks to make the trade. I had no idea how astounding this phones features are. I do wish you got a starter case and screen protector. However, I have had a Samsung since the S7 and I don't recall ever getting those things so I order them at the same time order the phone. As far as the charging goes, I always thought they charged quickly. Apparently I must have had bad phones to compare to LOL. I do like the fact that if you are gaming on your phone, can have a feature where you can by pass the battery and feed power to the chip directly. I am not sure if that is something available on other phones.
Thank you Saki. I always appreciate your opinion. Some reviewers hardly use the phone and people go by their reviews. Later on, they discover issues that were not specified on the videos.
I came from an s10+ and upgradet to the 23 ultra its a beast of a phone you can do everything battery is insane feels super premium and the display is the best ive seen yet not to mention the insane camera and s pen
Most quick charging phones employ a dual battery for rapid charging. With perhaps specialized charger for that purpose. For samung to do that it requires a significant internal design change.
Samsung just flexed their muscle 💪 with the S23 Ultra.... Hopefully, Apple will have a worthy response with their new iPhone Max version. I just sold my iPhone 14 Pro Max. We all know Apple is so limited, but people love the simplicity of iPhones. Honestly, it's not even a contest. The S23 Ultra is the best phone in the world.
Pro: Spen,Dex,6,8 beautiful display, many good looking custom designs, Good Update support,Good Camera, Good feelings when holding this phone, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, not too much edge but this is only my opinion, very good battery life (8-9 hours) Cons: Slow charging, no charger in the box, Price Tag is okay but no charger included, little bit heavy but not as the 14 Pro Max, I think personally the cases from Samsung are not so nice, Yeah not much cons in m experience with this phone. Only that the battery life is worse since the June update. End of the Day the almost perfect phone of this year...
Thank you Foto your video Mr. Saki. Till march this year I uesed my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 +. And since march this year I use the Samsung Galaxy S 23 Ultra. What great jump Forward. Batterie life, photo quality and the Speed of the cpu. The qualcom CPU ist so much better, than the Samsung exynox. Greetings From Munich, Bavaria.
I Still rock my Note S10+ ( I made over 48'000 Pictures so so far with this phone, I use it for Nature Photography, Huskys, Snowboard, Bike, Landscape etc. and edit them with Lightroom) I want this Phone since release, but I decitet to buy a new Specialized Stumpjumper Carbon Comp Bike to replace my 13 Year old Scott Genius that I use daily and hold on a little longer to my Phone. It was an easy decision to invest in the Bike but a very hard one NOT on top of that buy the Phone 😉 Cheers
Trading my samsung zfold 4 for this phone hopefully im not making a mistake. My battery life and camera isnt the best on the fold looking forward to the s23 ultra
You are definitely making a mistake. I get great battery life on my Z Fold 4 and the Camera is awesome. After having a Fold there is no way I will go back to a candy bar phone.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S9 Note - It has an Edge Feature. Does this one also have the capability to Swipe on the Edge and a menu comes up with your most used apps?
I've had a Note 9 for several years. Decided it was time to trade it in, while I could still get a decent value. I got $800 off in trade-in, on the s23 Ultra, making it a sweet deal! My s23 is on a FedEx truck, being delivered today; I can't wait!
I have a question about the display. In s21 ultra we get 1080x2400pixels and density is 385 dpi whereas in s23 ultra it is 1080x2316pixels and density 376dpi.. so how is the s23 ultra display is better? Can someone answer this please.
The S23 Ultra does have 1440p available, it just defaults to 1080p. And the other qualities it has at any resolution are an excellent mix of OLED blacks and intense brightness, plus vivid colours (that you can tone down in settings).
Will be getting my S23 U tomorrow. Retiring my Pixel 7 Pro. Had Pixel phones since the Nexus and want to try something different. Hopefully I wont be disappointed
Could you please tell me if notifications sound is coming only from bottom speaker? Even in settings/sounds in preview, notification sounds are coming only from bottom speaker
😂 Hej Sakitech i have the S22 ultra in green color and love my phone but yes the S23 ultra is very nice and if I hadn't bought the S22 ultra last year, I would have bought the S23. And as others mention here, Samsung also offers very long support these days on the Samsung Galaxy series and also on some other Samsung mobile models which is very good. I upgraded from the S10 plus to the Samsung S22 Ultra last year and I don't regret it I'm looking forward to Android 14 and One UI 6.0 very nice features are coming take care Sakitech and have a nice day.
I just traded in my s22 ultra and got the 512gb sky blue s23 ultra for $329 .. within 5 days of sending old phone in it was approved for the $750 trade in credit directly from Samsung. Fast and easy process . So good I just bought the watch 5 pro today and traded in my watch 4 classic for $230 ..
This very good news, I really appreciate did you find out when S24 ultra is coming out. I like getting next year with 1tb internal drive. Anything I know about it? 😊😉❤️ Take care
Can I ask one question Sakitech I have a Nokia 8.3 5g phone running on Android 12 it carries to many bugs on running Android system the notifications choke it no day goes by it fills up with notifications too many bugs and software problems with operating system but Google 1 is very clean is the Samsung s23ultra on Android 13 a better operating system just wondering
I traded my Note 9 for the S23 Ultra. Nothing wrong with the Note 9 and I'm still wondering if the $$ I paid was worth the upgrade. There is a lot of AI built into this S23 and I'm not really sure that I like it. Those photos of the moon use AI to 'fill in the details'. Good Luck !!
I switched to the s23 ultra Only problem is the resale value. S23 ultra came out with a price of 65000 MUR in February(1100 pounds). This is selling used in online buying and selling groups in MUR at 35000 MUR(595 pounds) just barely 5 months later. Imagine u would buy this at the original price! Samsung might be a better phone but resale value will kill you should u want to sell and get another phone
iPhone is great for people who just won a simple phone that goes what they needed to do. The galaxy phones are more for tech people to play with their phones and do a bunch of stuff with them. that’s why I bought my wife and kids iPhones and I have an S22 Ultra…. If you are not a tech person, then stick with the Apple because you won’t really be able to enjoy all of the stuff android has the offer if you’re not that tinkering type of person.
I had mine exactly 4 months and the ONLY disappointment I have is after about two I weeks I got a scratch of about 1 inch on the screen about a quarter way up from the bottom dead center 🙃 My A71UW that I upgraded from never had a screen protector on it either and never got any scratches on it after 2 years +. I love everything about the phone other than the great Gorilla glass or whatever it is could be greater for the price of the phone. Great review thanks for your thoughts on this phone .
Yeah man that's rough I immediately got a glass screen protector and spigan kid from Amazon same day shipping because I knew glass is glass and it will Crack easily. Hope you can get it fixed or do a trade in for the s24 ultra in the next few months
Be advised: GoodLock ONLY works on the S series. FineLock which is supposed to work on their other series does NOT work on the A series. My first Android was a Samsung Galaxy Lite and it has better features than what their new phones have. At least I didn't have to install another app for the features. I'm disappointed in today's Samsung... I've gone back to using my Motorola. At least it still has FM Radio, headphone jack and a few other things Samsung used to have.🤷🏼♂️
You have forget that you could become Superuser(ROOT) in Android. This way you could disable all unnecessary actualization and have same performance from day one to day you replace it for something else because you are tired of using same phone for 3-4-5 years straight. Additionaly S23 Ultra and any other former NOTE phones allow you to keep screen clear by doing all tasks with help of s-pen only... I advice to use soft tips only, in hard tips a grain of harder than screen material might be trapped and act as sand paper(guess how I known).
My only con for this device is the update frequency on my unlocked unit. I am still on May, whereas my S22U Verizon unit is June. Its a small con, as I really love this device. Its a camera first device for me.
Mine is Unlocked SIM FREE ( CARRIER FREE ) CSC (ILO) ...still didn't get the JUNE update 😢 And the FIRMWARE is not even available on SAMMOBILE, which is so sad...😢
in my opinion, you missed one of the most important parameters and that is performance, yes at the beginning they are always fast, but what about in half a year or more. So I want to ask you if you felt any loss in performance or if the new processor is so good that it will be equal to the iPhone 14 pro even after a few months
Every year IPhone slows down every apple device (mostly phones) and Samsung doesn’t so you’ll be better off with Samsung because apple slows down devices and got a lawsuit and STILL IS DOING IT
Thanks I bought it after your reviews. My CONS unless I'm app challenged, although my wife says I am 😁. We can't set reminder from within the text message app. You have to do it with the reminder section for all apps. And it's not accurate on time if set to 10 min, it goes off after 7 or 13 min and can't use the same sound for reminder. I used it alot for parking meters. Now I set my alarm instead of my parking app sending me the text message with time left. Haven't found other option around to avoid tickets.
Can you describe the features it has for the handicapped person who finds it extremely difficult to scroll up or down and left to right. I have Parkinson’s and my hand would freeze when I have to tap something on the phone. I cannot even speak because my jaw muscle are stiff. So i mumble and therefore I cant dictate anything. I love photography so I am going to get myself a S23 ultra but i had been using a iPhone all my life. It’s very easy because of i cloud ,if i take picture o my phone it immediately get downloaded to my i pad and my computer. I wont be changing my i pads r my computer so i don’t wat to loose that feature can join i could with a Samsung.please advise.
Phones have gone from like 2h 30 mins or 3 hours to fully charge in just 1h and we are still complaining dont forget that the faster your battery charges the faster it will lose its longevity, so fast charging cant be added as a con because its not. The phone is simply great but the only thing we should hope is that it wont have any update which will cause any problem to the phone like it happened with the series from S10 to S22 which caused the display not to work properly and have flickering screen.
I was actually surprised to learn earlier that since the 22 series there is no more samsung keyboard. My one gripe! Now its google messages, but does it use the google keyboard also?
I still have s22 ultra I'm waiting to upgrade next year s24 ultra you have a point about Samsung not giving us the charger case an screen protector in the box I feel the same way about that an chargering speeds
Wish the screen was matte or i could find a screen protector that was. The thumb recognition or eye does not work with my screen protector. There does not seem to be a decent screen protector. Camera is good, sound is good......I love this phone.

Pro: Spen,Dex,6,8 beautiful display, many good looking custom designs, Good Update support,Good Camera, Good feelings when holding this phone, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, not too much edge but this is only my opinion, very good battery life (8-9 hours)
Cons: Slow charging, no charger in the box, Price Tag is okay but no charger included, little bit heavy but not as the 14 Pro Max, I think personally the cases from Samsung are not so nice,
Yeah not much cons in m experience with this phone.
What case do you have on the phone?
I've had mine for about 3 weeks. Worth every cent so far.
Isn’t it to big?
@@Lordperceval1616 a bit.
I can deal with the charging times but I would really like to see the micro-SD slot return and stop forcing people to get cloud storage.
Just received mine today.
It was an easy decision to invest in the Bike but a very hard one NOT on top of that buy the Phone 😉
Cheers
Hay !! Saki, good to have you back, I haven't seen you for quite a while.
Got my s23 ultra 2 days ago and I'm loving it
Hows has the battery life been?
@@kb2696 awesome
Trading my samsung zfold 4 for this phone hopefully im not making a mistake. My battery life and camera isnt the best on the fold looking forward to the s23 ultra
You are definitely making a mistake. I get great battery life on my Z Fold 4 and the Camera is awesome. After having a Fold there is no way I will go back to a candy bar phone.
Hey Saki when I download the Expert Raw camera it does not sinc with the camera, it downloads as a separate app, is there a fix for this?
What themes are you using??
Excellent video. Always run to your videos when I get a new phone. Really liked your smoke video wallpaper, but didn't have much luck finding it.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S9 Note - It has an Edge Feature. Does this one also have the capability to Swipe on the Edge and a menu comes up with your most used apps?
The video wallpaper is fenomenal!
What's the case you are using on it
Can you please tell me what case that is that you are using ,I'm looking for a white case .
Thanks
12:00 the thing i like the most about the night shot is all the shadows it adds in the pictures in all different directions
I’m making the iPhone to s23 switch tomorrow, and I’m kind of nervous, is this the right move?? I’ve had iPhone since the 4..
great work mate, what case are you using mate
Are the wallpapers in the video in the Galaxy store?
Great content. I love my s23 ultra.
Just a quick question, guy!! Is the finger print scanner visible in bright light?
I've had a Note 9 for several years. Decided it was time to trade it in, while I could still get a decent value.
I got $800 off in trade-in, on the s23 Ultra, making it a sweet deal!
My s23 is on a FedEx truck, being delivered today; I can't wait!
Hi, I have a note 9 in excellent condition where did you buy and trade in I’m wanting the s23 ultra galaxy phone … if you don’t care too.. thanks …MJ
My carrier is ATT, and the offer was made on their website. @@margaretjasper1905

I hope you didn't miss the Black Friday deals.
Thanks for the video could I ask where did you get the Egyptian wallpaper from?
Its a beast of a phone unlimited capabilities
Could you please tell me if notifications sound is coming only from bottom speaker? Even in settings/sounds in preview, notification sounds are coming only from bottom speaker
The battery charge speed doesn't really bother me tbh, but I get the feeling super fast charging may be detrimental to battery quality over time.
it's a setting that allows you only to charge it to about 85% so it won't hurt the battery.
@@AustincoleMcMichael Hej nice yes Samsung have very nice trade in deals take care and have a lovely day.
Does assuming that the live background on your phone drains battery faster? I’m on an iPhone now and looking to switch.
also a shutter speed issue with blurred photos of a moving subject and very noisy low light video in all camera modes and front facing camera
This very good news, I really appreciate did you find out when S24 ultra is coming out. I like getting next year with 1tb internal drive. Anything I know about it? 😊😉❤️
Take care
I’m still using s22 ultra. Any news on s24 release date?
02/17/2024 🎉
Where can I get the all white phone case ?
Stock leather case from Samsung.
This video made me decide to stick with the Iphone 14 pro max and move to the Iphone 15 pro max soon.
I still got the note 9. About to update to the ultra 23.😊
I switched to the s23 ultra
Only problem is the resale value. S23 ultra came out with a price of 65000 MUR in February(1100 pounds). This is selling used in online buying and selling groups in MUR at 35000 MUR(595 pounds) just barely 5 months later. Imagine u would buy this at the original price!
Samsung might be a better phone but resale value will kill you should u want to sell and get another phone
you mentioned that the s pen alone warranted the price tag and then one of the cons is the price?
I wanted asked who used it for long How parctical is it in hand while using considering the big size because I'm a fan of it but not of big phones 😢 ?
I love the battery on this. I no longer charge daily. I charge when it needs it.
Some other cons of the Galaxy S23 Ultra are no headphone jack, no microSD card slot and PWM.
Sony still includes those features, yet noone buys there phones anymore.
@JohnSmith-ef8nr Sony is awesome for keeping these features. It's just too bad that their software support is lackluster especially for the price.
One other con is the curve screen, I switched from s22U to s23+ just because of the screen
The s23u's screen isn't as curved as the s22u, it feels flat with a case on.
does it have a file manager app to manage mp3/mp4 files??
iPhone is great for people who just won a simple phone that goes what they needed to do.
Been with apple since the 3gs, just changed to the s23 ultra and its astonishing good. Not going back to apple.
What is the access panel below the power button for ?
Love the pyramid wallpaper, where can i get that?
I had mine exactly 4 months and the ONLY disappointment I have is after about two I weeks I got a scratch of about 1 inch on the screen about a quarter way up from the bottom dead center 🙃 My A71UW that I upgraded from never had a screen protector on it either and never got any scratches on it after 2 years +. I love everything about the phone other than the great Gorilla glass or whatever it is could be greater for the price of the phone. Great review thanks for your thoughts on this phone .
Ive got Gorilla glass on my s10+ and the screen is chipped and scratched to hell after 5 years of use
BS Gorilla glass doesnt crack/protects well
Yeah man that's rough I immediately got a glass screen protector and spigan kid from Amazon same day shipping because I knew glass is glass and it will Crack easily. Hope you can get it fixed or do a trade in for the s24 ultra in the next few months
You could have saved your screen with a good screen protector for about 10.00😢 You spent all of that money- Why??!
@@lockandloadlikehell Nobody ever said that the screen won't scratch or break. It's glass, what do you expect? :D
At least it still has FM Radio, headphone jack and a few other things Samsung used to have.🤷🏼♂️
I got a A52s next to my s23u and goodlock works just fine on the A serie
Was a S22 ultra Exynos mistake?
Can you provide the link to buy your phone case please 😊 white one
You have forget that you could become Superuser(ROOT) in Android. This way you could disable all unnecessary actualization and have same performance from day one to day you replace it for something else because you are tired of using same phone for 3-4-5 years straight.
Additionaly S23 Ultra and any other former NOTE phones allow you to keep screen clear by doing all tasks with help of s-pen only... I advice to use soft tips only, in hard tips a grain of harder than screen material might be trapped and act as sand paper(guess how I known).
Love my S23 ultra but after today's June software update, my fingerprint scanner icon has disappeared from my lock screen 😢
I know this is a issue but its odd that it doesn't affect all phones, mine has been OK.
Extremely fast charging is bad for the battery health in the long term, I don't mind that it doesn't fully charge in 10 minutes
My only con for this device is the update frequency on my unlocked unit.
I am still on May, whereas my S22U Verizon unit is June. Its a small con, as I really love this device. Its a camera first device for me.
The update depends on your airtime provider.
Mine is Unlocked SIM FREE
( CARRIER FREE ) CSC (ILO) ...still didn't get the JUNE update 😢
And the FIRMWARE is not even available on SAMMOBILE, which is so sad...😢
@@egcozinon not even s23U has received june update.
They're rolling out big update next month
I'm on Verizon still haven't gotten mines either
There’s supposed to be a big 2GB+ update coming next month.
What version is Blue Tooth on S23 Ultra
in my opinion, you missed one of the most important parameters and that is performance, yes at the beginning they are always fast, but what about in half a year or more. So I want to ask you if you felt any loss in performance or if the new processor is so good that it will be equal to the iPhone 14 pro even after a few months
Every year IPhone slows down every apple device (mostly phones) and Samsung doesn’t so you’ll be better off with Samsung because apple slows down devices and got a lawsuit and STILL IS DOING IT
Hello Saki from Sakitech! Have a Question to you which app you use for wallpapers your screen is simply Awsome and Galaxy s23u is Best of the Best !
Good timing. I am looking at upgrading my phone in the next couple months.
Whats with soft images? Most of them looks like water painting when zoomed in
I hate that they're copying apple and taking out the charger from the box. Very anti-consumer
Hi
Good job
I have a question
I like this phone but hate curved screen, is it tolerable? I mean is it too much curve?
Its definitely not an issue unlike the first curved screen
Im definitely gonna get this fcker this saturday. super excited.
Galaxy s23 ultra best phone ever
I was actually surprised to learn earlier that since the 22 series there is no more samsung keyboard. My one gripe! Now its google messages, but does it use the google keyboard also?
What are you talking about? S23 still has Samsung keyboard.
I still have s22 ultra I'm waiting to upgrade next year s24 ultra you have a point about Samsung not giving us the charger case an screen protector in the box I feel the same way about that an chargering speeds
watching from my S23ultra ❤
Great facts and the greatest is I saw the today.
Excellent review! New subscriber. ❤️
Wish the screen was matte or i could find a screen protector that was. The thumb recognition or eye does not work with my screen protector. There does not seem to be a decent screen protector. Camera is good, sound is good......I love this phone.
