i think the reason they didn’t trade Saquon or X is because losing more games would of put them on the hot seat more pissed off fans and possibly a pissed off owner and could of lost the locker room too i mean i don’t know im not in the organization lol just speculation
The Giants went 9-7-1 & overreacted as if they’d won the Super Bowl. Just like Ryan Tannehill was successful & got a big contract because Derrick Henry was dominant, DJ had some success because of Saquon Barkley. Jones is guaranteed approx $40M for 2024 so the Giants have no choice but to play him. Until then the Giants have to publicly support him. DJ isn’t a true drop back passer & can’t play as fast when the game gets fast. He needs a running game & play action. Unfortunately NFL teams don’t make a list of QB skills & abilities & discount for each missing ability. Instead they pay the QB based upon what others are making so less talented QBs sometimes make close to what the best make. After the 9 win season Brian Dabol wanted to ride with Jones & now he can feel it slipping away because making Jones the highest paid person in the entire building didn’t help the team win more games. Dabol lost sight of what was important. The GM should’ve told Jones agent that they weren’t bidding against themselves & that if they paid DJ like a franchise QB he better use the offseason to come back as the best version of himself as he could get starting with improved accuracy. IMHO the Giants got more out of Barkley for what they paid him than they got out Jones for what they paid him. Good luck this season. 🍀👍

Oh no we’re angry with the organization. We know what DJ is the confusion is with the organization. THEY NEED TO LET HIM GO!!!
