I first visited Athens at Christmas when I was fifteen years old. Later, when I was in the U.S. Navy, my ship spent a month at Eleusis, the industrial port thirteen miles west of Athens. My enlistment expired while there, and I elected to remain in Greece. I lived in a hotel in the Plaka for another month, exploring the Peloponnesian Peninsula, before moving on to Paris.

Love the smooth landing and all the details during the final approach 😊 It is kind of addictive to watch the last part when the runway is insight and is coming closer and closer. Question: From which point does the eye focus change from the PFD to the beginning of the runway?
Interesting question! Honestly, from the moment I can see the runway, I gradually focus more on the runway the closer we get. I check the speed, thrust lever setting and pfd to make corrections. At the end I barely focus on the inside (only the speed), the rest is focused on the runway.

I just love your videos on landing in interesting and beautiful places. Great to see the Greek Islands in yourn flight path.
It’s amazing how far humans have come from the invention of the wheel to giant flying machines.
It would be interesting to watch an e tire flight (a short one perhaps an hour long) from leaving the terminal to take off, to landing and stopping at the terminal with all visual and audio including tower communications.
