    I swear I just skip headset reviews to see if the microphone sounds like someone begging for help at the bottom of a cave. You could tell me 2 little angels located in the ear cups are whispering the enemy location into my ears.. but if I pop on discord and my friends start ordering a Big Mac when they hear my drive thru mic, I ain't buying it.

      That's so funny! and exactly what I do; I find the mic audio quality is the decider.
      Currently I'm using a frankenstein homebrew of my favourite old (early 1993 issue) Panasonic RP-HT96 Headphones and using a Boya BY-M1 Lavalier microphone, mounted on a self-made headset boom for decent placement.

    I've had
    The G Pro X wired
    The G pro X Wireless
    and now the G pro X 2.
    Initially when I got the g pro x wireless (1st gen)I didn't like them because I felt like the wired versions sounded better. This was Despite the wired version only having a 5 band eq instead of the wireless's 10 or 12 band eq. I could get the pro x wireless (1st gen) CLOSE but never liked the sound as much as I did on the wired version.
    These new Pro X 2's sound just like the wired version (maybe a tad better). I would recommend these to anyone that likes the way the wired version sounds but wants that wireless capability. Yes they don't have simultaneous Bluetooth but it connects to your paired bluetooth device within a second or two after pressing the button. Very easy.

      Do you know if you can plug a 3.5 into the dongle and then in a USB mic and get mic monitoring into the headset wirelessly? this would be insane for my Elgato Wave 3 as i could get rid of the cable to my headset

    • @ads3453
      @ads3453 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kingofkingz235 That's not accurate, it depends on a lot of things such as the quality of the DAC in the loop and the quality of the headphone itself. So many things affect it, in a lot of cases with these headsets they sound better through BT because they are using newer codecs which take advantages of higher quality streams than would be achievable through a cable.

    Ear cushions are really important but only when your playing competitively or fps. Memory foam is for comfort so that dials down noise gains for footsteps and won’t help noise cancelling. The other ear pad is great for all gaming but you may sweat or get uncomfortable, so don’t play spiderman for hours using those.

    I ordered the maxwell because of all the hype and now I'm hearing some poor reviews in terms of it's imaging and it's taking forever to arrive. I've been watching you and also Gadgetrytech and you both said the imaging on these are excellent. I may have to cancel that pre-order and switch to this if that's the case.

      @@Motion_God It's really hard to gauge, I'm on the audeze subreddit and a lot of people are talking about the imaging. Some saying they're incredible and other people are saying they've had a hard time hearing in certain games such as Warzone (but this game is criticized for its directional sound).
      I'm going to keep the maxwell order for now until I have more information, but hearing of this new tech on the pro x 2 + the very positive imaging reviews is something that definitely has me intrigued to make a potential switch.

    • @Habaru
      @Habaru ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@corerampage7587 While I had some issues with my maxwells and sent them for RMA, and my opinion is purely subjective, maybe it will help. I have used the old Arctis 7's, tested the nova pro wireless, tested the original wireless logitech g pro x + others. My conclusion was that unless you value footsteps MASSIVELY more than anything else, get the Maxwell's. For example I originally got the nova pro's due to reviews, and when I listen to music or watch a movie or play games idk what the reviewer's were smoking because the Maxwells simply blow them out of the water, especially in the low end. I've heard rumbles and sounds in games that didn't even register on the Nova Pro's, again mostly on the low end. The imaging was good enough for me, and you can always try using stuff like DTS/Sonar with the Maxwells to help with positioning.

      I have the HyperX Cloud Orbit S, which is the penrose, the maxwells predecessor. So there's a dealbreaker with this headset that only one reviewer has talked about. This new $250 PC gaming headset doesn't work with Windows spatial audio (Sonic/Atmos/DTS:X). It's because of the Logitech driver presumably. You can use the Logitech G Hub version of DTS:X but it's REALLY bad and the software has to be installed and running. No other PC gaming headset on the market has this problem. It's ridiculous. Logitech needs to rectify it. There's a workaround by installing the basic Microsoft audio driver onto your system but then you can't use G Hub. Also the Equalizer for this headset in G Hub is really bad. 5 EQ Sliders, no parametric EQ, no "Link EQ Sliders" button.

    Lol "graphene drivers" is just Logitechs way of saying cheaply made for more money. if you really want gaming wireless for some odd reason, there's only the high end steel series headset or razer black shark V2 pro for decent, and I say DECENT AT BEST audio quality for competitive gaming. Look to brands such as Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser, and Audeze among other audiophile brands for REAL audio experience and competitive edge. Only casual gamers and sponsored streamers use wireless gaming brand audio. It's a waste of money getting these or any logicrap audio sorry fanboys support better gear. At least razer owns 90 percent of the gaming peripheral scene minus audio, but this is just a slap in the face to consumers. Fresh Reviews lists these as horrible, and that guy is good at gaming, many pros with no bias will point you in the right direction. There's 50 dollar iems with better competitive edge audio than this, don't waste your money. Let Logitech hurt by cheaping out on its consumers. Only way they learn.

    I'm struggling to find a headset that gives you the ability to customize your EQ BUT also offer Chatmix where it has two separate audio streams for game and voice and give me the ability to lower or raise the volume of either streams. Right now I have an Astro A50 Gen 3 but I would like to get another headset as this one is starting to age out. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Bought these today , seemed like one of the best headsets on the market now , only gaming competition was razer blackshark v2 2023 and arctis nova pro , Bought them today.
    I was bit skeptical because half of the reviews were that surround sound was shit , but other than that it was great .
    Here is my review :
    Bought them, plugged the dongle in , updated the firmware. The circle for volume stopped increasing or decreasing sound. didn't work at all. Tried google , solution was switch USB ports or reinstall , no help. Installed old firmware back , Updated sound drivers and all drivers , then , stopped working , ghub says connecting, but they cannot even connect now. Complete dogshit.
    For anyone who wants to buy, don't buy these please , software is shit and can mess up headphones quite a bit . Pick something bit older , not 2 months old like me.

      they are shit compared to blackshark v2 pro 2023. the mic on the logitech is just too shit for even a cheap headset.should be illegal to release it

      i have a question.... I heard the g pro 2 arent that loud? is that true? i mean i listen to music very loud if i can... So if i put them on Max volume are they even quieter than the Virtuoso? or Compared to the Maxwell (cause they are really loud if on max volume)... if they are quieter than the virtuoso they are probably a dealbreaker

      @@Mikoto_Suoh idk, I mean it was average, like most of headphones. These headphones are in my opinion mostly only for story mode games -> or just games without surround sound needed, like most fps games do.
      If you need them only for music, dont buy them 😅

      @@Mikoto_Suoh idk. Now I own the razer 2023 updated version , and I love it. Comfy, good surround sound, good battery , can be used on phone, loud enough for me, ton of equalizers, probably one of the best mics on the market, if not the best.
