Who are some characters in Japanese games you think are autistic? 🤔Tell me down below 👇🏻

Shulk from xenoblade chronicles and futaba from persona 5. I'm actually a bit sad you didn't mention them especially since futaba is one of my favorite characters of all time because she portrayed autstic traits in a very similar way I do. Shulks autstic coding is a bit more subtle but he is socal awkward and shows hyper fixation. One of his character qurks i related to most is getting so caught up in his special interest that he forgets to eat. It's implied this is a pretty regular occurrence. Also early in the game one of the characters says he has no sense of taste. This implies hyposensitivity to taste

I wonder about Kass the Rito Bard from Breath of the Wild being neurodivergent. Not only is he socially awkward, going so far as to stand near Rito Village and wish he could go see his family, but he has a single-minded focus on his mission of spreading the music. He has a special interest or hyperfixation on the bardic tales of old.

Rui Kamishiro from Project Sekai! His story mainly focus' on the fact that he has been alienated by everyone for being "weird", the only friend he made being a shy girl named Nene, who introduced him to the world of theatre. He once put on a show for his classmates, though it backfired on him and caused him to be avoided and ostracized throughout middle school. He then eventually decided to preform shows by himself, using robots in place of real people before eventually meeting Tsukasa (his eventual troupe mate). Even after the events of his units main story, Rui struggled to make new friends as to most, he was apart of Kamiyamas "Weirdo Combo" (Along with Tsukasa). Eventually after stepping out of his comfort zone, he befriends people in his class and becomes genuinely happy in where he is at!

FIRE EMBLEM MENTION OMG!!! Fire Emblem is one of my biggest special interests so seeing it here makes me so happy!! I definitely hope you’ll make the video discussing autistic characters in the FE series, I could literally watch hours of it…speaking of it, I want to mention my beloved Linhardt as an autistic character that I relate to a lot. As always, amazing video and I hope you’ll make even more discussing Japanese video games!

Yes, please do one of Fire Emblem! It made me smile to see Miriel as an example. It's been awhile since I've played FE (and I was playing another mage character), so I'd forgotten about her, but I do remember thinking that I could see a fair bit of myself in her and the way she tends to communicate with others.

Thank you so much for including Edgeworth!
However, I disagree that Phoenix is neurotypical. In fact, I have always pretty strongly headcanoned him as ADHD, due to (among other things) his impulsivity, forgetfulness, disorganization, extremely strong justice sensitivity, and tendency to miss important details (the man forgot to turn over a RECEIPT) that others might easily notice.
Of course, this also could just be my ADHD self projecting heavily onto him, so take this all with a grain of salt.
