I gotta say...as hood as this dude plays himself. He's got a level head and a good heart. He just has to learn to understand the responsibilities of his actions but when you're brought up in such a hand to mouth environment that doesn't give thought to the consequences of your actions because you don't even know if you're gonna live long enough to see those consequences it's hard to conceptualize cause and effect. I've been there personally and it took me years to learn those lesson as opposed to my two sons who understand it now(and they aren't even in their teens yet)because it's something I've drilled into them so early on. And it's not about a dad thing, it's about the environment you're brought up in. If a broke dad is raising his kids hand to mouth he ain't got time to teach...he's too busy hustling trying to make it by any means. If a rich single mom is raising boys she may not be able to teach them how to be a man but she can surely teach them consequences, responsibilities for their actions and planning ahead for their future because she has learned it enough to create a stable financial environment for them to live in which takes planning, discipline and creating opportunities.
