Smooth day. I’m interested in making this a new business for myself and I would like to know how to get the right training or start working with a company
@@reifonseca5767 I found a job towing and they taught me and pay me a base pay as well as comission. Look around dont just go with the first 3 companies you see.
The Wrecker/Towing business is very competitive these days especially if you live in a city where there are a lot of companies or even a large company say like companies like O'Hare or a Stepps, large companies are going to have the really good money accounts. Small companies are usually left with running rotation calls, private impounds or sometimes smaller accounts that want you to tow for cheap and then you will have the motor clubs to make money from. Then you have figure in the cost of buying a truck, insurance, fuel and maintenance. If you do not have the proper insurance and something happens you can feasibly lose your a**. Getting into this kinda business is something that you would wanna do research on before getting in to it. Having been in it for 20+ years I can say that it can be fun and it can also be a pain in the a**. Towing is a 24/7 life and that means getting outta bed in all hours of the night, in all kinds of weather and working a lot of weekends and holidays. Again do the research. I see a lot of vids here that don't show you the real life of this business and ppl watch these vids and think oh this is a great life and a fun job and it can be but it can also be a miserable one. Again. Take the advise and do the research, talk to drivers and talk to insurance companies, and find out what kinda capitol your going to need.

Can you make a living as a owner operator with one of these trucks? Or do you need a flat bed these days?
It’s all depends , with the flat bed you have more work
More cars are becoming all wheel drive. Which you have to either dolly then on this type or flatbed them.
