After an old neighbour mentioned issues with seeing the polarity of batteries I took a little ponder on how to solve the problem. What I came up with I've started to use on my own devices as well, I mark the polarity (usually plus only) with a white pen intended for marking tires. Makes switching batteries a lot easier even in limited light.
Man that looks brand new. I just got one for $200 on eBay. Waiting for it to get here. I got a 9.6v NIMH pack for it but not sure if it’s going to fit. Could you get me the dimensions of the inside of the battery bay? Or even the original batteries? Also hoping to find the manuals some day… the Lopo kit design specs and video of by the guy that made it are online. I just figured a $10.00 NIMH pack is good enough vs $100 for the lipo setup.
The battery box max size is 5-1/8 long, 2-1/2 wide, 1-1/4 deep. (inches). They are great little o'scopes! Have fun with your new purchase. service manual.. www.tek.com/en/manual/222-digital-storage-oscilloscope-service-manual user manual.. www.manualslib.com/manual/2038147/Tektronix-222.html
@@EriksElectronicsWorkbench thanks for the dimensions. Yeah I’m hooked I just bought the earlier 214 analog model so I can do real-time x/y vector (oscilloscope music) on it. it’s non working off eBay, so now I have two coming 😂 🤦♂️ (… I meant I hope to find the original physical manuals…)

The kit from N0DY is not avaiable. N0DY is deceased.
That's sad news. I did not know.

How long is the runtime with your pack? My 7 Nimh batteries are only getting about 50 mins and they are supposed to be 2400 mah
@@sideburn I can get 4.5 hours of continuous run time.
@@EriksElectronicsWorkbench wow major difference.
