Nice rip, i like the Quinn the Sabres trade rumor is Savoie got traded due to injury problems but knowing the sabres he is going to be a stsr for the Oilers
Yeah the Quinn is an awesome card, love the colour match with the Sabres Jersey, I wonder if they'll ever make a yellow Dazzlers. That's interesting, hopefully it's a case where the trade works out for both sides.
I always struggle with retail. If hobby is twice the cost does that mean twice as good? If you hit the big young guns for half the price you’re laughing. What’s your thoughts?
I don't think that a hobby box being twice the amount of retail means hobby is twice as good as retail. There's a couple factors I can quickly think of off the top of my head, first one is potential. Hobby has way higher potential than retail with things like unannounced cards, parallels to the young guns (French, Clear Cut and the numbered Exclusives and High Glosses) plus a ton of other hobby only exclusive hits. The most retail can offer is just the base young guns and canvas young guns and a couple interesting but not overly desirable retail exclusive cards. Another factor is supply and demand. For 2022-23 Series 1 and 2, it seems like a lot of those two series was printed. And for a period of time there wasn't too much demand for it. Though that's changed a little with series 2 and I believe that has something to do with Slafkovsky signing that massive 8 year deal and the play of Wyatt Johnston in the recent playoffs, demand went up a bit for series 2 and the price went up a bit for both hobby and retail. Speaking personally about this box, I got it because I wanted to get either another Wyatt Johnston Young Guns or my first Slafkovsky Young Guns. I also didn't really feel like paying the extra for hobby (even though the price difference wasn't huge at the time) just because I just wanted the base young guns, I wasn't really interested in hunting for something crazy like an Exclusive Young Guns of those two or something like that, the odds of pulling something like that are super slim. Hope that helps, sorry for the essay lol. Short version: Hobby has a higher ceiling and will always be more expensive than retail, but retail is generally better if all you want to hunt is the base young guns and base canvas young guns.
Thanks for the rip brother! Hope you're having a good day! 💪😁🤘
Any time brother! I'm having a good one I hope you're having a good one too!!!

Rough break but still worth the $65
Yup, that's how it goes sometimes, but absolutely is still worth it, kinda wish I got more to be honest lol.
@mirorbreaks8721 oh for sure! Very underrated rookie crop!
