Hem Bihag was a Raga ,created by his father,Ut Alauddin Khan, blending Hemanta with Bihag. This performance of Ustadji is superb. Nikhil Babu also played this Rage in his rendition of sitar ,very beautifully. Such a melodious Raga .
I attended many a live concert of AAK, never close enough setting to observe his left hand/fingers. This is absolutely mesmerizing! Poor Manik, he was too young at the time to be put on stage, his head kept moving, turning, bobbing then turning side to side some more....:) RIP KhanSahib, RIP James Pomerantz. Thank you David for sharing this, quite an effort recording this so nicely, in 1996 nevertheless!
How sweet! Ahh, this isn’t me on stage, actually. This is our nephew, Shiraz. My baba’s alap used to put me in a trance, so I may have been passed out backstage or in the front row, haha.
Ut. Ali Akhbar Khan never tried to perform on a stage of public function ,to gain cheap popularity of the Audience as he always played ,keeping his eyes.fixed on his instrument of Sarode or keeping these closed sometimes without paying any attention to the applause of the audience.

Please send me that link, but I don't believe you are correct. The video of this concert has never been out of my possession, and I don't see another post of this concert searching you tube. There are other audio recordings of Hindol Hem posted, though none of them are videos.
