Does either the Mark 1 or 2 have an aperture ring?
What is great about this lens is the local contrast, it's very good at f1.4, but the sharpness and global contrast are pretty low, so it gives a very nice look at this lens, really perfect for video (but also for stills). Another thing I like is the colors, when paired with the GH6 and G9II, the colors are among the best I've seen.
Do you have any examples of this lens with the G9II?
this lens is great truly, if you don't need weather sealing the mark i version is the way to go for extra savings. It. has character (there's still softness compared to the oly 25 1.8 and 1.2) that makes it a seller for me. the mark ii is weather sealed and I will say it's worth it for me to get for street photography (I fully intend to come back to m43 and get this lens to start out)
I fully agree
Get mark II, it's weather sealed. Mark I is not. That said, I bought mark I when it released and still have, still enjoy it.
Thanks. I didn't know about that. I think ii also has improved flair resistance correct?
@@Princeton_James Other than the weather sealing, they are exactly identical. There is no difference in optics.
Pana Leica Summilux 25mm f/1.4 is good, just think the motor focusing is a bit noisy and not really fast.
Have you used it with a Panasonic camera?
@@sam_9228 hi, I am using OM camera
