    Fantastic video.. any Competent person can do this, after watching your fantastic video... 👍 I've just bought a T6, and will be doing mine myself now, after watching this video... quick question?? How many had you fitted before you did this video??

      My Dad works for a windscreen company and does window conversions now and again. Glad you found it useful.

    Many thanks for the guide.. just finished mine today.. the only thing that nearly caught me out was the jigsaw bounced out.. only happened the once.. so it pays to protect the bodywork if it’s your first time :-)

      Did you buy a new blade? Junps around if the blade is half blunt, or your rushing to do the job.. did you use the tape?

    Can you bond the glass on the table rather than on the van? Seen a few videos where it's done on the glass. Looks like that might be a bit easier doing it on the glass on a table

    • @MrWhiteyboy100
      @MrWhiteyboy100  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@maxv77 Only trouble with bonding the glass first you can’t guarantee where the bonding will land when you press it into place. You may bond the glass and stick it on the van and the bonding not hit the primed areas then causing leaks or failure in the future.

    Beautiful job Sam and a great video. If you are fitting 2 side windows do you put both bonding glue on at the same time and fit both windows together or just fit one at a time. Thanks

    • @MrWhiteyboy100
      @MrWhiteyboy100  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just fit one window at a time and apply the bonding glue just before you fit each window that way you won't be rushing from each side of the van to make sure the glass is staying in place. as glueing them both up at once can run the risk of the bonding adhesive going off before you get chance to fit the glass
      Thanks

    Best video ive came across. Am going to do mine next week. Only thing unsure about is the sealant you cut out, to make gap tighter. My bottom gap is wider than sides, was yours the same?? Cheers 👍

    • @MrWhiteyboy100
      @MrWhiteyboy100  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The gap between the panels/ skins does not matter too much just removing some of it allows the skins to close up and the U trim to go over it easier and looks abit more cleaner.

    I’ve watched loads of these videos as I’m braving it and doing mine on Wednesday, this seems the simplest way but I’m just unsure of the hole punch, would it not in theory pull the metal work of the van causing wavy reflections in places around the window afterwards ??

    • @MrWhiteyboy100
      @MrWhiteyboy100  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You wont see this once you fit the edge trim on the inside over the sharp edge where you’ve cut and the glass will cover it. Just go lightly with a small punch.

    Good evening Sam
    What would this cost for windows/materials and labour?
    Job looks fantastic

    • @MrWhiteyboy100
      @MrWhiteyboy100  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      anywhere between £400/£500 plus vat that's for one fixed window and one sliding.
      Thanks

      Hi Sam
      Another question I thought you may know, can the rear glass on a van be reversed back to metal panels?
      As in like a 6 seater combi like the one in your video rather than a minibus type?
      Cheers
      Mark

    • @MrWhiteyboy100
      @MrWhiteyboy100  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bigmac5217 No unfortunately not would be alot of work to weld back in a panel and repaint. Maybe find a Vinyl wrap that matches the van colour and wrap over the rear windows.

    Did you remove the base on jigsaw

    • @MrWhiteyboy100
      @MrWhiteyboy100  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, and used the roller wheel that guides the blade makes the corners much easier. Mask up all areas to avoid any scratches.

    Best video ever 👍 a job where it actually makes sense. I'm going to try my first window soon. I bought 21 tpi metal cutting jigsaw blades. Is that similar to what you use. Or should I got less teeth. My theory was more teeth, the slower, more controlled and neater the line will be. I could be completely wrong. Are they OK??? Thanks for video i feel alot more confident. I didn't want to use angle grinder and other overkill equipment, lol

    • @craigdjbuller1844
      @craigdjbuller1844 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was hoping you had barn door window video too lol is it basically the same. Obviously its single skin so should be easier.
      Also its really hot for UK at moment. Is it too hot for the installation is it best to do it when its colder ?? I was thinking the heat might effect the glue ??? Hmmmmm
