The wesumat w92 takt system you found in Peterborough is actually my favourite local car wash. Sadly though it’s been abandoned since 2015 and the shutters are down

I photographed a colourful Ceccato Master at an ASDA petrol station years ago: www.flickr.com/photos/143661166@N05/28799252911/in/dateposted-public/

Wilcomatic mono rapide I remember seeing the Istobal M'Nex22 being installed. The machine and brushes were cleaner than they are now, they have turned from yellow and green to black! (Ha!)

In the late 1990s Morrison's introduced this. Until then they had a conveyor belt model like Imo and Arco.

I don’t even think Morrison’s had their own conveyor systems as far as I am aware of, but I do know for a fact that they installed Tammermatic systems in the late 80s - early 90s before the Soft Wash era which was about mid 90s to early 00s. Literally all Morrison’s car washes back in the day were cheerful yellow and blue brushes which always brought a sense of joy to me as a child growing up. I don’t mind the new colour scheme on the new M’Starts they have been installing lately but I just have a feeling that they will neglect them in the same fashion as to what they have done with their previous assets :/

These car washes in my opinion are far better than the newer ones the christ systems and instbal system just seem mucky and worn out

Ryan bus train man I agree. This was the only only Wesumat Soft Wash at Morrisons I was aware of. The rest of them were replaced in 2007 with Christ Primus systems. This one was replaced with an Istobal M'Nex22 in October 2011. Christ Primus and Istobal system seem to be neglected more than the previous Wesumat Soft Wash systems.

TheCarWashesChannel I definitely agree from all your videos and Rotherham channel and tv channel videos all morrisons videos look worn out or need rebrushing except the one at Balby that looked clean. Tesco seems good with their christ systems and crystal peaks sainsburys. I once walked right directly past morrisons car wash Barnsley back in may when i was on placement to look at the system and brushes to say there green and yellow they looked more black full of dirt which i know thats what car wash machines are designed for but they need to keep checking the system and maybe clean the brushes if possible every so often

Ryan bus train man The only problem with carlite brushes is that they get easily get stained with dirt, road grime etc. Traditional polyethylene brushes on the other hand stay clean for a really long time. They flick away the dirt and road grime so scratches are minimum. Although they may show some wear after 10 years or so, they manage to remove the dirt on vehicles.
