It showed how great we are when we work together, Amapiano, a South African genre, made viral by many Nigerian artists, Jerusalema started trending because of the guys from Angola, basically different African countries coming together without even realising it. It is a great way to show unity.

@@afrikan_criola1923 it wasn’t advertised at the time. Someone would have to come across it or make an effort to look for it. America may seem like it’s a free country but it is controlled to a degree. With the uncontrollable evolution of social media , it couldn’t be hidden but for so long.
@@afrikan_criola1923 It's because in The US, it's mainly African Americans that are represented, africans from the continent were always overlooked while in Europe, the black people there are people who came from the continent, that's why Europeans are more connected to African music but also let's be specific, it's not really Europe as a whole that is familiar with african music, it's Western Europe because of their huge black populations. France and The UK are the most familiar for example.

UPDATE..... The song BUGA by Nigeria's Kizz Daniel and Tekno is actually the number one song now.... if you did the list today in June 2022, it should be Number one...and Love Wantiti from Nigeria, should either be one or two if we really want to be honest about the present ranking.
