This is a fabulous concert, the whole show is somewhere on TH-cam, worth sticking the headphones on and disappearing on your own for a while! Ear ecstasy!
The glorious Jazz, Soul, Funk, Blues & Rock of the 60's, 70's and 80's will NEVER be beaten for every genre of music. Those of us who lived it knew it was a special era.
Why wasn't Mike singing his usual parts on this evergreen 'Live' favourite from their 1984 album 'True Colours'? His trademark falsetto vocals are usually very prominent on this track, so was he having problems with his voice that night? Just curious.
Wow! F'ing hell - what I wouldn't give to be there. L42 performing in a small square in Switzerland! Those folks are so lucky; but they are rather sedate. I'd be up dancing and singing. Love 'em. PLEASE come to America!
Kansas City Milkman is one of the most left-field (and therefore) weirdest 'pop' songs ever written (from the True Colors album)…But it is thus UNIQUE…And Kick's all sorts of Ass…Timeless music
Chew gum...sing...play the bass like a badass. This tune is actually incredibly relevant right now in the West. Rural people working only with disinformation.
had a good time with your Music in the 90th. BTW- Sound Engineer made a fantastic Job. Love the Sax Sound. I`m interested in more Details of the Sax Sound. Is it a BergLarsen Mouthpiece? Only EQ, Compression and some Delay? Pls let me know.... 🙂
Oh Come on! This lot have been So Good for So Long! While the original Fab 4 Funksters will always be the best - They've been so good with different line ups. MARK AND MIKE FOREVER!.... I might get Their names tattood on My Gonads in respect- that wouldn't be too painful would it?? 😁😁

Hmm. Can’t find that full concert recording anywhere now ☹️
Love to find the whole concert Rob if you ever find a link.
@@bazfitz6607 I’ve had a proper search and all I can get is an audio version of the concert on TH-cam. Shame, because it’s a great show.
Thanks for the tip. I'll add now that show to my TH-cam playlist. Nice one.

One of my all time favorite Level 42 songs.
And this is a great performance of it.
In this performance? ... It's well better than the original
These guys are proper musicians. 👌
💯
Man, I wore down my Physical Presence cassette back in the day. Sitting in the car, with the stereo BLARING. Singing both Mike and Marks harmonies..
This gem sounds a good now in 2024 as it did in 1984 when I discovered the True Colours album.
never heard this song until a week ago...amazing, and this live performance is ridiculous...
Great performance! Amazing sound! Love it! Thanks for sharing! Have a wonderful week
One of my L42 faves on bass, because it’s so different. Drop D tuning and almost all finger style.
And a total b!#%^ to play and sing at the same time.
Yeah and a lot of non-slap bass playing at the highest standard!
True colours is all finger style and probably the best finger style bass line he's done.
I meant true believers
Have always loved this introspective track from them. Some really delicious harmonic content and the playing is just fabulous!
Didn’t this audience know they were in the presence of greatness.......
I don't think so...
One of my faves from Level 42. Mark King still killing it on the bass 🎸👍 Would love to see them come to the US.
Mark king’s voice hasn’t changed in 40 years. Genius
Well, this (fantastic) concert was from 2010....if you listen to the latest concert I think it has changed. (hopefully temporarily...)

Absolutely wonderful performance on such a beautiful song! Sorry don’t know this drummer, but he’s incredibly crisp with his timing. Good job!
Pete Ray Biggin. And yes, he’s a beast 🔥
Awesome! Thanks for the knowledge. Gawd, L42 is such a monumental band. Almost makes me wish I’d been a Brit, or at least lived there.

My fav song of you guys!! Thanks for uploading.
Bellissima performance! ❤ 🎼 🎶🎵🎙

Love this song ❤️
FANTASTIC
Is this in Lugano, Switzerland 🇨🇭? I was there! Happened to walk by by chance and heard “Something about you”. Ran to the scene and pure magic 🪄 🎶 🎸
Shows you how culturally ignorant I am.. I always thought Lugano was in France, lol!!! Good one 👍
@@Karmakatt6 That’s ok, most Americans can’t even point out Europe on a map 🗺

Funny connection with Milkman but I know the guy who has The Thames 400e Milkfloat Mark was once a milk boy in.

What a band ! What a vibe and what a lazy audience ! I would have danced my butt off. 3.45 is insane !!!
Seen them in 86. It's a shame they never made it.

Think the audience need to wake up well theyre not true music lovers like us British we have start the festival culture lol
Cazzo che tiro funky Pete Ray Biggin non ce l,ha nemmeno Gary Husband per carità anche lui un grande
