Great video Jon 👍 its a shame the manufacturers don't provide more how to's or training on using their equipment on their sites though I guess it provides a void for us video creators, 👀 forward to the next in the series 😎

Perhaps reading the plotter manual would be helpful

Brilliant, thanks. Looking forward to the next installment and seeing you follow that route. 👍
Hope you do a 'how to vid' on circuit breakers, connecting and disconnecting shore power etc, I watch a lot of boat tours and would love to know more about the breakers, ie, when you jump on board do you switch everything on or switch things on and off as you need them? 👍

Very nice tutorial. Are any of the navigation aids (Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad etc...) _SMART_ enough to look at the planned route and compare it with real-time instruments other than the GPS? I'm thinking radar, depth sounder or even a navigation chip map showing known water depth and channel markers.

Terrible visuals could be a lot better glare etc in parts

I wish this bloke would use correct terms. What he's referring to as bearings are in fact courses. A bearing is something different and he should know this. The fact that he's messing up the nomenclature gives me little confidence in the depth of his navigational knowledge.

I saw your comment and I was all like, "He probably doesn't know what he's gonna do with that info 'cause he's just like me and hires a captain and crew to worry about that stuff" and then I realized I was watching this video on my cellphone using stolen wifi from a truck stop only because I'm living in the parking lot in my Sentra.
