I first fell in love with the look in an old episode of ‘I love Lucy” when they moved to Connecticut. I was just a kid when I saw it and thought it was just amazing and so American.

Many of us in Virginia still live in them. My house was built in the 1980s and almost the entire neighborhood is colonial style!
