  • The perfect bike ride is one that leads through a beautiful area on a trail or bike lane that is separate from the road that motorized vehicles use. Such a ride now exists along the North Saskatchewan River, east of Edmonton. Good starting points are either Rundle Park, or Strathcona Science Park, as paved trails now exist from there, all the way to the beginning of the Riverside Nature Trail that stretches all the way to Fort Saskatchewan.
A footbridge is planned for the near future that will connect this trail system with the existing trails on the north shore at 167th Ave.
The city of Edmonton has a survey open to all residents that you can access until April 29th, 2021. Take it here:

Lovely video. Left Edmonton last year and miss the River Valley very much! Thanks for this video!

Great video. I love the drone footage. I can't wait to to ride this trail. The bridge will be a nice addition.

That's a nice trail and you captured it well. Drone views are awesome.

Love your videos! You should be able to set the drone's "home point" to where the controller is (which should be with you!) That way, you don't have to go back to where you launched the drone and save your self some back and forth!

I like that trail too. Alternatively you can follow the pathway all the way to the Anthony Henday footbridge and take the gravel trail across the bridge that connects to Meridian Street and from there you can go to Aurum road where there is a nice pathway connecting all the way to Sherwood Drive.

Awesome video! Do you know of a path that goes westward, possibly down through devon or the Aga Khan gardens?

Last year we went to Devon, but there was no continuous trail yet. I know its being planned though. Check River Valley Alliance!

Hello Mr. Jorg. Great trail to do some riding on. Looks like you're getting the hang of using the new drone too. Be nice if you could use a voice command app to help with the riding/ drone filming simultaneously and also make your current location the actual "home point" so that drone would come to you directly instead of the other way around. Stay safe & healthy. Take care.

will this trail actually take you all the way to Fort Saskatchewan? I tried looking on google maps but it looked like you would be forced back to 2ndary roads and highways?
