HOW has Tampa never been hit w a storm like this in 100 years?!?! I could’ve sworn I’ve heard Tampa Bay getting hit almost every time there’s a hurricane down there.
Gotta love surfers! There's a book about an asteroid plowing into the Pacific Ocean called Lucifer's Hammer. In one of the opening pages, a surfer waits for the impact wave to reach Los Angeles. He catches a thousand foot wave and rides it into downtown Los Angeles where he smacks into the 70th floor of a high rise.
You know, in an odd sort of way, this will help out the Democrats in Florida in the upcoming election. The reason being is that Democrats vote early by mail at a far higher rate than Republicans do. If you can't drive around the area, and don't have a place to live after the storm comes through, it's unlikely that you're going to make it to a polling place on election Day, especially when it's underwater with two feet of mud around it.
It amazes me how at a time like this, when people are in a position of potentially losing their homes and property (and possibly their lives), your mind is on the "political ramifications." No wonder society is in decline. People are focused on the wrong things. Pathetic.
