This one is pure gold. Highlights for me: - Double-click to select the full chain - Delete/undo pattern to discover duplicative or confusing sketch elements
I'm a recent user if Fusion 360 and your videos have helped me a lot. Thanks! I'm a former Adobe ilustrator user and I confess that I still have a lot of difficulty with Scketches in Fusion. Very difficult with creating alignments, rotating elements from the center or I end up losing myself when I move a line and so many others move together randomly... learning is continuous. Thanks for your content 😊
Thanks for the forecast! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
- Helpful vid as always, Tyler. Well done. - As for "auto dimensioning" ('Dim Pro' add-in) of sketch: seems a bad idea: --- Will not result in proper control in line w/ design intent. --- Uses common datum, which is appropriate for technical drawing used during manufacturing, but not ideal for sketch. --- Looks like it would require more effort than it's worth to edit the dimensions (removing/adding) to establish the desired control of sketch. - And curious: --- What does it do if dimensions already exist? Do you have to start w/ no dims? If some can already be applied, what happens? What about driven dimensions? --- What about projected geom? - Auto dimensioning may be for some users, but not this one,. Just sayin'.
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! I agree that auto dimensioning has its drawbacks namely the puking of dimensions. I believe dimpro will place dimensions after your existing but I’m doubtful I will use it. However the new configurable 2d drawing auto dims in Fusion I will probably continue to use to get started.
Sometime or another go over best practice for defining and dimensioning multipoint splines. I have a method I use but interested to see others. Also playing with generating Logarithmic scrolls for a Scroll Bender project, using the Coil function (effectively twisting it up on a cone) then projecting a single line from a square body to a later sketch. Really ugly but again interested if you have a different approach.
I always have a hard time with arcs. I can have a start and end point attached to already black/fully-defined geometry, tangent the ends, dimension the radius, and it still won't turn black.

thanks this is really useful, I never knew about double click to select all
You're welcome!
Excellent as always!

another great video, great to see the tricks of how to find the errors
You are a great instructor. Thanks for your help.
I appreciate that!
Awesome! Thank you
great and very informative video. Thanks Tyler. 🙂
Some tricks here I never knew. My new laptop arrives soon, and I look forward to getting back into this effort.

Quite disappointing that Fusion itself doesn't indicate potential issues as these look straightforward to detect automatically.
I agree. Solidworks has a nice repair sketch feature that would be ideal for Fusion
Most laser cutting software has features to find duplicate lines or tiny unseen gaps between lines
