The thing I love about this album is it goes through all the steps of getting over someone you loved who hurt you, from beginning (Roam) to end (Closure). Atleast that's how I see it.
Juice Wrld's "Goodbye and Good Riddance" album has a similar concept, but he relies on drugs to get over the girl and by the end of the album, he's over the girl but has substance abuse issues. It's pretty sad considering he died of an overdose.
I remember when this album dropped in 2011. I was 14 jumping around in my parents laundry room smoking cigarettes drinking vodka listening to this while skins played quietly on the tv on the other side of the room. the fuck?? this shit is still my shit though 9 years a fan
everytime i listen to the album from states and minds, to closure, i feel something i've never felt with any other album... i can't describe the feeling... but it's good... does anyone else feel that too?
this whole album is amazing. it's one of those albums i can listen to from start to finish easily and then repeat the whole thing again. seriously these guys are one of the best pop punk bands out right now
The past year and a half I have gone through absolute shit with relationships, friends, and even my own family. & one night when I was literally losing my mind, deciding if I wanted to OD or not just to end all this shit. Until I came across this song on Tumblr. Never in my life have I heard lyrics that have spoken so well for me. This song, this album, and this band. Man did they deliver.
saw them in seattle in like 2014 with my best friend and it was EPIC. he had never been to a show let alone a pop punk OG band show. it was insane. we crowd surfed. lifted peopleup who fell, had a blast. even met the band for a brief moment before they went backstage... we had such a blast wish i could go back to those days and relive it once more
I just got back from watching them in warped tour and it was AMAZING. Despite the fact that I'm unreasonably short and I couldn't see shit. They sounded so good though.
certainly has my attention... last Pop punk album I """bought""" was blink self titled. and i picked this beauty up this morning. so that you have it :)!!!
one of the top comments on this years ago was someone talking about how they interpreted this song about fallin in and out of drugs, i never forgot that comment because i related to that so hard but had never thought of this song this way, i hope ur still clean and healthy homie
My understanding is that constantly changing your mind on whether or not you like someone (maybe as friends or maybe as something more), is painful and difficult. Not sure whether to move on or stick around. I think the title "Roam" sums it up. Roaming around with no direction or purpose. Not quite sure whether you're here or there.
I'm all for anybody's opinions but that guy has a point, TSSF is an amazing band but Blink182 and Sum41 are other bands that been around for a longer time. I have to say they define pop punk.
New senses fail sounds like old senses fail. They just replaced the guitarist a few times and the message changed a bit. From the Depths of Dreams>>The Fire, they've always kept their sound. Don't know what makes them 'terribad'. Love those guys actually.
These guys are legends because Kelen sent them back in time and Will and Kevin switched lives and became one another. It was genius. Now they live each other's lives. They go down in infamy because of this master plan!! All the while Parker and Torf are changing out the waves of time in the universe. It's what happens so fuckin deal with it.
Give up and go home Alone, and suffer some more This head of stone lets no one in anymore Cause my effort is never enough I'll start unpacking all of my stuff Cause I've come to know my place So let's wreck everything I've built except the base You have no idea how unproductive it is To fall in and out of you as often as I do And lately I've been feeling grey but today I'm alright no thanks to you Think I'll go and roam outside your boundary Walk on the ridge. Far away from the city Friends of friends prove untrustworthy Be gone, just like you were at the last party No SOS until the bottles are empty Now my hunger isn't wasted anymore Cause I'm younger but I'm tired and I'm sore I know where you've been You’re ruining men Never again will I let someone in I know where you've been You’re ruining men Never again will I let someone in You have no idea how unproductive it is To fall in and out of you as often as I do And lately I've been feeling grey but today I'm alright no thanks to you You have no idea how unproductive it is To fall in and out of you as often as I do And lately I've been feeling grey but today I'm alright no thanks to you

I love this album so much because of that. I could write a 5000 word essay about it and enjoy every minute.
@@nicolasa.3192 you should, there are many people would love to read it

If anyone checks the album out though, be sure to look up the original order of songs because it was changed for whatever reason
This genre is now called Breakupcore. This is the perfect album to get over an ex.

Kevin Geyer is a beast bro
I honestly thought it was Kenny Vasoli at first.
I just got back from watching them in warped tour and it was AMAZING. Despite the fact that I'm unreasonably short and I couldn't see shit. They sounded so good though.

Years from now, Under Soil and Dirt will be remembered as the album that saved pop punk
not wrong
one of the top comments on this years ago was someone talking about how they interpreted this song about fallin in and out of drugs,
i never forgot that comment because i related to that so hard but had never thought of this song this way,
i hope ur still clean and healthy homie
they played this at mixtape fest, and the singer from misser came out and sang the backup vocals for this song. it was awesome
This is such a beautiful song. They're so underappreciated
.
This song is the jam. If you guys are into this you should check out We Still Dream, Giants At Large, Heart To Heart, and No Good News.
This song is GOOD AF
i feel this is what is supposed to start playing after states and minds

SomeBloke love it. interesting take, and an accurate one too, I think.

I'm all for anybody's opinions but that guy has a point, TSSF is an amazing band but Blink182 and Sum41 are other bands that been around for a longer time. I have to say they define pop punk.

Give up and go home
Alone, and suffer some more
This head of stone lets no one in anymore
Cause my effort is never enough
I'll start unpacking all of my stuff
Cause I've come to know my place
So let's wreck everything I've built except the base
You have no idea how unproductive it is
To fall in and out of you as often as I do
And lately I've been feeling grey but today
I'm alright no thanks to you
Think I'll go and roam outside your boundary
Walk on the ridge. Far away from the city
Friends of friends prove untrustworthy
Be gone, just like you were at the last party
No SOS until the bottles are empty

Cause I'm younger but I'm tired and I'm sore
I know where you've been
You’re ruining men
Never again will I let someone in
I know where you've been
You’re ruining men
Never again will I let someone in
You have no idea how unproductive it is
To fall in and out of you as often as I do
And lately I've been feeling grey but today
I'm alright no thanks to you

To fall in and out of you as often as I do
And lately I've been feeling grey but today
I'm alright no thanks to you

NEVER AGAIN WILL I LET SOMEONE IN
Roaming in 2021
Throwwwwwback
nice
Damn they got pretty big quick. I remember when this shit had like 10,000 views.
Is it just me or is there some irony that "Pure Noise" uploaded a track this quiet at max volume?
Compare it to Spotify to see what I mean.
Who sings from 1:41-55? Cause thay doesn't sound like parker
JosephxMartino Kevin Geyer(Guitar)
JosephxMartino Sounds like Derek from state champs, he did the vocals when i saw tssf live on warped
I hope they play this song at Warped
They did in New Orleans
wow the chorus is the best thing since PP and J
