    It is amazing to me to see from this point of view totally different from being on shore or in a boat

    There was a time when that technology didn't exist, and our imaginations ran wild with what we thought was going on down below!

    That first walleye looked big, nice catch. Cool video, did you ever try bouncing the lure off the bottom a little bit and tried to trigger a bite that way?

    Makes you wonder how many times fish have looked at your lure and not bitten. Some giants probably, interesting

    Man, at 2:31 when that 'eye ducks under the bait that was a killer. Nice footage.

    Walleye are so finicky!..this footage is exactly what I think I am seeing with my sonar every time I go ice fish for walleye...they come in off the bottom rise to the bait, sniff and then disappear...I dont get it..tried all sorts of methods can't get one

  • @milesaway3699
    @milesaway3699 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Don't forget to bounce your bait on the bottom from time to time. The fish are drawn to the commotion. Also, jigging a live minnow on a treble hook dropped 8 inches down from a Swedish Pimple is deadly. Out fish my buddies every time w/ this setup.

    • @shuckyJ8888
      @shuckyJ8888 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      interesting.. like a swedish pimple 8in below the jig rap? or jig and minow 8in below the swedish pimple?

    Those walleyes are so fat they sink if they stop swimming.

  • @fdyhdfhy

    You know there big when they roll when they swim. How big was the biggest one???? They look like tanks lol

  • @barbelman3089

    In this video the Walleye seem to be very "heavy" in the way they swim... keep sinking to the bottom... are these autumn fish that have fattened up all summer or is this spring pre spawning and the fish are full of eggs?

  • @colbyhutzell5133
    @colbyhutzell5133 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Very intresting the first fish stirred up the bottom to provide cover to ambush that poor lure lol,ive seen this behavior in smallmouth aswell trying to "blind" lots of bait,generally in my experiences the bass are schooled up and feeding hard

      I have a marcum walleye do that lots before biting, It’s cool when they do it fast too, like on a crankbait. Also big ones rarely bite unless it’s low light.

    Huh,...makes me wonder how many trophy fish have swam around my lures and jigs over the years.Also makes me wonder how many times I may have left an area too soon assuming there was nothing going on down there but in reality there were trophy Walleye just inches from my bait.lol! I will start exercising more patience while fishing after having watched the evidence in this video.
