    First question, is not D anion will be more stable due to equivalent resonance structure of COO-, which is also favoured by electron being withdrawn away from benzene by -NO2?

    7:04 you said that fluorine can make hydrogen bonds but since those hydrogens are bonded to carbon which have similar electronegativity to hydrogen so they shouldn't be involved in H bonding. By that logic other alkanes should also form H bonding and dissolve in water but they dont

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your logic is 100% correct for water as we have oxygen there, here for Fluorine which has even more electronegativity than O (actually highest electronegativity) thus it causes H bonded to C to form H bond.

    • @chemspark595
      @chemspark595 ปีที่แล้ว

      Flourine size is very small( as compare to other options) so 1,3 diaxial intraction will be less.....so this option would be more correct

    Sir, revision or joining test series, which one is more important according to your long experience

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Test series is more effective for last time preparation, but keep Revising concepts too. So basically 20% revision and 80% problem solving

    25:00 why not hydrogen bonding work in option 3

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Being eclipsed both F and OH will be in the same plane, now as we have lone pair of electrons on Oxygen which will make OH bond out of plane of OC bond, so the H of OH will be away from F, making it difficult to approach for H bonding
