Love the weasel videos!! Made a couple boxes when I lived in NV and put them out behind the house for the kids. Kept them busy checking boxes! Haven’t caught any, but had fun trying!
They are sometimes far from water. We have an upland wood thats miles from water. Were we sometimes find rabbits pulled part way into a small hole in a tree. And a good weasle trapping area.
Jeff, have you trapped weasels in western Iowa? I dont know if there are around? Christopher found a dead one from a bridge set but nearby so i think there are but i wanted to see if you had ever caught any.

I tried west of Des Moines and didn’t catch any. I saw 1 track. Looks like great habitat for them

Weasels was my first experience with my grandfather. We would go to a beagle club, fill the boxes with chicken feathers, and 2 no.1 long spring
