I saw zerk-tank in AQ once. 60% of the time he was at 1 HP, but didn't die for some reason o_O. As a healer i could say that this was the most terrifying experience :D
Zerks have a skill that prevents their HP from going below 1 for a few seconds, unless they take one hit that does more damage than their HP when fully healed. Yeah, sounds like a scary experience XD
YUKATI Gaming they removed the identify skill that’s make Zerk a tank plus the skill that won’t let your health reach to 0 but in unleash there is a skill that makes you immune for few seconds.
It's sad that they removed it. In pc when there is no tank, I pop up intimidation, one more crit ring and I'm ready for tanking. AQ is easy for tank as a Zerk, but there goes the usual question, like "Why is there no tank? What are U doing n00b?". I say Zerk tank is better than no tank.
Warrior Tank main here! The answer to 'Which class you should play' question can also be made easier by saying that some classes require lower ping to work correctly/better. For example, if you have high ping but want to play warrior, then you have my blessing since you'll have a pretty hard time in dungeons!
I really like your video. Out of every mmo I've played, this by far has been my favorite. I really enjoyed how you turned the Meta on its head and push for innovation, it's my personal belief in gaming to play what you like and over come the short comings of whatever you are playing. Also it was good to hear a briefing on how these classes play, so any new player could grasp a better idea of what they may like.
Thanks, I'm glad you like them : ) Yeah, it's more fun to play the way you like, however in some games classes and such are not well balanced, so choosing the wrong one will mean you can never really overcome the short comings. In TERA the classes are quite well balanced, and it is easy to make up the small differences by playing the class really well.
Just recently started playing again on Saturday - decided to make a new character on a different server (had 13 lv 65 characters), been really enjoying this content. Thanks!
YUKATI Gaming I made a zerk, and my best buddy who used to play back in the day made a sorc. It's actually really refreshing being able to explore the world and remember how the classes work - leveling is also super easy these days (1-40 in like 6 hours off questing, 40-52 currently off 1.5hrs of dungeon grind).
Well I think it depends on the dungeon. For example in Corrupted Skynest, playing brawler is annoying because Growing Fury auto blocks the debuffs, so you have to stop attacking if you need to switch debuff. Forbidden Arena Undying Warlord on the other hand seems easier on brawler. Above 80% boss HP you don't even have to worry about iframing because until 80% everything is blockable so you just have to keep attacking.
@@YUKATIGaming yes undying warlord was a dungeon to kill the "lancer" meta, so it doesn't count, as of cs, you just punch backwards or aggro shout, nothing else hard about that, let me give u example, fa slayer, u r so tight about iframing, that at some point, u just accept the fact that you will die, da has same issue as well, and forget about "keep attacking" or "auto block" auto block means nothing cause lancer and warrior tank has that as well, it's all about timing and which skill to perfect block (side note, manual blocking in brawler is huge huge dps gain that none brawler players don't know about)
@@akioyuja9206 Well, I actually haven't tried tanking FA Hagu and DA, only CS and FA Undying out of those 4, so I'll just believe you when it comes to FA Hagu and DA. I wouldn't consider warrior and lancer skills as auto block though, same as I wouldn't consider 1000cuts on ninja as auto . Growing fury is auto block because whether you time it right or not, as long as you keep attacking it will block most blockable skills (all except those that need perfect block). With manual block you mean timing it to get perfect block, right? Or do you mean the basic block? I know perfect defense increases dps by a lot, just wondering if there is something about the basic block that I don't know :)
i'd only say, pick whatever the class you want to play, there is no "bad class" or "no bad tank" cause that only matters when it comes into very very endgame play (spoiler alert, all good players quit) devs made every tank and healer equal in a sense as well as well dds, or just don't bother with this game cause community just sucks in both mentality and skill level
Yes, but that class is different for everybody. Some people say archer is the easiest to play, but I cannot do damage on that one. Somebody from my guild is really good on brawler, priest and archer, but cannot do good damage on sorcerer or ninja. At the same time I think sorcerer is easy to play, and ninja is easier than archer as well in my opinion.
Its for sure player related, some dps work on rotation cds some more on cooldown priority skill (archer), both sides apply to all classes but in different amounts and rhythms so its hard to say for me berserker is my best :)
I completely agree with you. As someone who mains and prefers only lancer, it took so much so actually understand and focus. I still think people should make lancer to see its full capabilities.
@@Paeslyn Lancer is literally the only class I've never played - way too stressful, and way too hard. Everyone has their thing though, I used to be a d-stance warrior in pvp and then a gunner as my main in pve, so it just goes to show how unpredictable and different people's natural classes are.
I'm trying to decide between priest and mystic for a support class. What I got from the video: priest focuses just on healing while mystic utilizes other support skills along with healing but to a lesser affect than priest healing.
I mean both focus on healing, mystic is still a real healer. It's just that priests have a bit stronger heals but feel a bit slower. Which one to choose is basically personal preference. I personally prefer mystic, and know other people who do too, but I also know people who prefer priest.
I made both and then decided to go with mystic. Priest is slightly easier in my opinion, but mystic is more fun! If you are learning new dungeon, it can be though tho. You need to summon your thralls constantly after they are off cooldown and save your thrall of life for big heals when they are needed (or big cleanse). Also, thrall of protection is pretty much like kaias shield on priest so you summon it to buff everyone before the fight and later during the fight you just use it at some bosses mechanics to block them. In easy dungeons, usually it can be healed, but harder dungeons, it's a wipe if you don't do it right. Overall, mystic is super fun, but at the same time, because of thralls you get to do more damage than priest. I just got my soul gear and I'm doing 4 million as a support. Which is pretty great :3
Elins actually saved the game from dying once, because the player numbers where draining and the korean/japanese users wanted costumes because elins didn't have much at the time. Devs said "fuck it", made a couple costumes cause it was easy, player numbers *_spiked_* and the devs went *_"OH I SEE"_* so you can blame that for elins being the most pampered class in the game.
I’m pretty sure Human Females on console (Xbox) can use the Power Fists and Cannon, so maybe another one of these videos for the console version at some point might be a thing. I don’t expect you to make a bunch of new characters for that though, using viewer footage is fine.
Just started playing mmorpg games (Tera) , and every time I resurrected, I'm seeing a "xxx has been/is resurrected" at the center of my screen. Is this a server wide announcement? If yes, is there a way to stop broadcasting it? I imagine myself dying every now and then on this game.
It's either shown to your party or to the area, not sure which one but not server wide, else you'd constantly see the message. Don't worry, everybody dies in TERA.
@@YUKATIGaming Thanks for the assurance. I'm not in a party so i really hope it's just in the area. I've been resurrecting several times since I started :D
For every class there are people who hate it and others who love it. Gunners have attacks that have recoil and push you back. You need to stay relatively close to the boss though, so that the healer doesn't have to spend additional time healing you, and so that all your attacks actually hit, and you can do the mechanics. That can be a bit annoying to some people for example. Either way, just try the class and see if you like it. Make sure you actually try at endgame, and look at a guide for the class. Low level game play is not really representative of how a class is in endgame.
I know your comments 5 months old I played pc and currently console now, but I think the biggest thing for me and others is somtimes feeling quiet slow playing gunner, and the damage unless your at end game with the best stuff can make you feel unpowered compared to others. A big bonus to me though about the class is the fact you basically get a robot ‘skill pet’ if you will, and he heals you etc while no other dps class has a support heal like that.
I deleted the first character I ever picked which I didn't even finish the tutorial. Can't remember what I picked but my second and current character is a Sorcerer. Absolutely love playing a Sorcerer. I notice I can solo bosses in the dungeons without getting wrecked or almost killed (in solo dungeons) and mini world bosses (Not sure if that is their correct title since I'm barely lvl 25) I also think the spells are pretty fun to use, especially the teleporting spell which allows me to avoid most bosses hits.
Yeah, sorcerer is fun : ) You need to get to level 65, and get the Apex skills though, so you can really experience any class. Teleport Jaunt is an , meaning there is a short moment where you cannot get hit by boss attacks, even if you're in the area where the attack hits. There are also some boss attacks that cannot be d, but a lot of them can be. Backstep is also an , and Warp Barrier can be used to dodge most attacks too. Each class has at least one iframing skill.
I returning players my previous main character is DPS but now i look up brawler tank beome main. looking best dps is not important in the end need lot friends online doing dungeon. I recommend main character pick tank or healer then 2nd DPS. valk best DPS. if tera crossplay world serve that love it. More manpower psn and Xbox and pc play together
Bach in the days, a class or type of character was unlockable at lvl 60 or 65... All I remember is that it was a loli fighting with chains or something. Can someone please tell me how it was called ?😅
That is the reaper class. I think you need to have one level 40 character to unlock it, and your reaper will automatically start at level 55 (I think), so you can skip a few levels that way.
i already hate when games have a little kid race, but this game has *multiple* classes that are race and gender locked to being a little girl? no thanks, creepy devs
Well, almost in every update the best classes are the same, as tank Lancer if you want to support the team, Brawler if you want easy dungeons since you don't need to worry so much about the block part, and Warrior if you're veteran and you know what you're doing, as for the healer both are pretty good and different so choose whatever you want, as for dps, Warrior is always in a good spot same for Reaper and Berserker, then Gunner and Valkyrie are amazing too, the first 3 positions are always changing between that 5 classes all the time so whatever you pick from that 5 classes you're safe with the dps role, Archer and Ninja are mostly trash dps and Slayer is amazing in some patches and trash in other patches, but never worst than Archer and Ninja, as for pvp, it depends a lot of you as a player, but except for Berserker and Gunners the rest are just fine, the Reaper and the Valkyrie are strong af if you know how to play them. But like Yukati said, you should try all the classes and pick whatever you feel better for you.
Brawler is good for hard dungeons too, dps just prefer to have a Lancer in their party because that increases their own dps numbers (better for bragging :3), but yeah for warrior tank you really need to know what you're doing. Calling Archer and Ninja trash though D: I know somebody who used to do more damage in scout gear on archer than other (decent) players in kaia on zerk, reaper or valk, and in short fights Ninjas can get above 100M/s because their burn does most of the damage. You just have to burn right, and in long fights try not to drop in dps too much in the 3 min between burns. There is no trash class in TERA, the playstyles are just so different that you're naturally better at some than others ; )
@@YUKATIGaming I don't mean the classes are trash, i find Ninja and Archer pretty fun to play, but the dps is really bad compared with the other dps classes in the game, this is in general, i know some people can do a lot of dmg as Ninja and Archer, but in general, the numbers on parses are always putting them on the bottom of the dps list, i know Ninja has a lot of burst dmg and in short fights the class can be the number one, but in end game fights they don't do that much dmg compared with let's say Valkyrie. Of course all depends of gear, and how much the player know about the class, but like in every game, the numbers put some classes above the others. So when i said "trash dps" i mean that, not that class is trash.
@@ShinjiKG Like i said Warrior for both, pve and pvp, the ninja is not worth the effor to learn the rotation since even if you're amazing a guy with the same skills will outdps you with a Warrior.
I’m a year late lol but nah if u make the class right Archer is ez high A or low S dps imo. I made my build as a crit oriented so 90% of my attacks are high crit plus having the poison arrow glyph helps even more with dmg over time. Granted I do believe other classes can do better dmg I just think Archer is just slept on cause I’ve lost count now how many dungeons I’ve done where even tho I have the lowest rating of 450 I’ll end up doing easily more dmg over time than even some Reapers I play with. That’s just me tho
Hello, I know the video is old, but I have two questions that I would like help with. I want to play the game with my little brother. What are the two best class for us to play together and support each other? can just we as two able to finish the game together?
Hi, sorry for the delay, I rarely check comments on this channel at the moment. As long as you don't both play tank only and you don't both play healer only, you can play together. You can do quests as a duo, and low level dungeons too, but max level dungeons, especially the ones that require good gear, are designed for 5 players, and are hard (or depending on the mechanics impossible) to clear as a duo, but you can still find a party together.
I never played Blade and Soul, so I can't compare. Sadly official PC servers are closing on Thursday morning, so if you'd like to try it on PC, look for a private server like Menma's TERA
basically all classes are good with good gear but valkryie dont need nearly as good gear to do a lot of damage. i think sorcerors might be the same as long as you're good at dodging but valkyrie is by far the most op dps. tanks and healers generally rely more on skill than gear.
Returning player from 2016: for pvp what is meta right now? I used to be maxed out on sorc but the changes I disliked back then. How is sorc doing now compared to others in pvp?
So which one of the classes is best suited for "hit and run" tactics wherein rely on dodging attacks and punishing the enemy? I've been playing monster hunter and I've been looking for a class that has similarities to monster hunter's mechanics to help me adjust on the game since I've just recently found it
I've never played monster hunter, but to me it sounds like you should try ninja. Ninjas have cloth armour, but they are like a half melee and half ranged class, so you need to rely on s and a bit of positioning to avoid enemy attacks. It's also the quickest class in game, and really fun to play.
Please help me I can’t launch the game when I hit play off of steam it opens the launcher and then I hit play on the launcher and it says game_crash please help me
Did you try opening the steam folder and launching the game directly? Or try running the game as admin? Seems like those two things fix the problem for some people: www.reddit.com/r/TeraOnline/comments/i8c5xg/tera_x64_crashing_wont_start_help/
Wow lol the little furry girls can literally be any class and they also have not one but two race specific class? I haven’t played this game, is that like explained in the lore or are the creators just pervs?
I guess people who played Elins also happened to be the ones spending most money on costume items. Gunner used to be for Castanic and Elf only, brawler used to be a human female exclusive, and Valkyrie used to be for Castanic Females only, but they slowly added the Elin option to all three.
Any DPS class, because tanks and healers have more responsibility, so it's better if they have some experience in the game already. Which one is easiest to learn is different for everybody. Maybe try a few of them. You have 2 free character slots per server ; )
Some info is useful but majority is just something you can google or find out on websites. I hear Tera died not too long ago. Too buggy or so I heard from old players.
Yeah, that's true for a lot of videos, but many people prefer watching the information summed up in a video rather than googling and collect the info from different pages in some cases ; ) And the population is smaller than it used to be, but the game is not dead yet. There are bugs of course, like in pretty much every game, but it's not as bad as Skyrim for example XD
@@YUKATIGaming feels just as broken as skyrim with some previous builds i heard. It is a good mmo i am not trying to thrash it but most smart people would look things up and read on what they want and what they need to expect
Yeah, I can actually think of a few bugs right now that I forgot about earlier lol, probably cause I was still half asleep XD Most of the time there is a work around for the bug, or it's not really an issue, so I don't really pay attention to them. The good part about TERA is the combat system. I think that is one of the main reasons why TERA still exists.
@@YUKATIGaming Brawler is weakest tank which no one wants and slayer deals so little damage they can't even clear hardest content without getting carried or using combat accelerator
One Brawler in my guild does lots of damage in dungeons. People like lancers more because they increase the party dps numbers, and people like seeing big numbers behind their name. Lancers can also save the party with shield or protection, but brawlers can tank just fine as well. And about slayer, you usually see people do relatively low damage, but sometimes you see a slayer that does huge numbers. They are rare, but good slayers exist.
@@YUKATIGaming he isn't talking about good or bad slayers, he's just talking about the class, which deals low damage compared to other classes (at highest skill level) PepegaHands
In my opinion ninja is one of the easiest classes to survive on, because you rarely get locked in an animation, and you have a lot of s. Zerk on the other hand is one of the hardest to survive on. It's the only dps class that can block, so you need to learn which mechanics are blockable. You only have two s, one of which only works while charging a skill, and you need to use your damage reduction shield a lot, especially during unleash, where you don't have an at all (only damage reduction). Also one of your attacks drains your own HP. When it comes to dealing damage I think it's about the same. Either way you'll need to spend the time learning all about the class. I recommend that you just pick the one that looks more fun, and try all the classes at some point. I thought ninja would be my main forever, but when got used to sorcerer, I noticed that for me personally it's the easiest class to play, even though it was harder to get started on than ninja. Other people think other classes are the easiest.
Well you can always download the game and play again for a while. If you haven't played since before August, and you have a decent PC, then it will also run better than what you experienced last time. ; )
I know its stupid to ask, the more when u overwiev classes... But after 2-3 years I plan back to Tera ( now as casual) and I cant decide between Warrior( I mained it when we needed to pay monthly for Tera xD) or try something new ( Im thinking about Valkyrie/ Ninja). Any suggestion in this stupid question? :D
If you still have your old account then try your old characters first. The Apex skills (which you get from the purple level 65 story quest) change the way you play the classes. Ninja and Valkyrie are both fun to play too, so you should try them as well. In the end it's a game, and it's supposed to be fun. You'll only find out how fun each class is to you, after playing it. I know that kind of answer is not very satisfying, but I think it's the only advise that makes sense to give to people, especially since the classes are balanced quite well, and everybody has different likes and dislikes.
Before reaching endgame, all dungeons are for 3 players, so you might want to split up in groups of 2 for leveling. Most endgame dungeons are designed for 5 players (1 tank, 1 healer and 3 dps), so party gameplay is not only good, but required in endgame. Some dungeons have mechanics that make it impossible to solo them, and you really want a full 5 player party, even if it was possible with less players. For class combinations it doesn't matter as long as you have one healer max, one tank max and no more than 3 dps. The healer will be the most important role, make sure that player is good at surviving and fast at casting skills. The tank needs to be good at surviving, so blocks and s need to be times well. I usually recommend playing dps when new to the game, but since there are 4 of you, one player will have to play tank or healer.
Hmmm... if your experience will help you depends on the mmorpg you played before maybe, but knowing that mmorpgs require you to actively learn about everything in game, definitely gives you an advantage, so just try it I guess : ) I doubt that having experience in Guild Wars 2 for example will help you fight better in tera though, since combat is a lot more action focused and you have to manually aim in tera. However, if you actually do your best to learn the in and outs of the class, and you make sure to learn endgame dungeon mechanics before you try the dungeon for the first time, then it should be fine. Playing dps at first is just an additional safety net, because an experience tank and healer can save parties from wipes in a lot of cases.
According to some old info I found using google, Castanics and Elves have quicker animations, so if that's true, then Castanics are perfect. But in general, you don't really have to worry about it. Any race is fine for priest, especially for PvE. In fact, I would say for PvE at least, it doesn't really matter which race you use for any of the classes. The differences are not that big. How well you play the class is more important than which class or race, and even gear level to some extend.
Ohhh on console. I always forget about the console version lol. You could try brawler then. Tank makes it a bit easier because you can block and don't have to chase the boss' back.
Yeah, any gender lock sucks, but by doing that, the devs save a lot of time and money, so I understand why they do it. It's better to release a gender locked class and focus on the most popular race, than to not release a class because it is too expensive.
I don't have a console so can't tell you if it feels like there are more people or not. I also didn't really find anything using google. Keep in mind though that there are significant differences between pc and console versions. Consoles get their own patches, own gear, and classes are played a bit different, so that it works better with controller. Take that into account too when choosing a platform, or just try both, then decide.
It doesn't really matter too much, just play what you like. Setup and player skill make like 99.9%, but if you really want to squeeze out every little bit, then elin for longer reach, castanic for dps warrior cause of 1% crit chance, and male amani for tank due to damage reduction.
I guess human is good for PvP because of the racial skills. tera.fandom.com/wiki/Human But as I said earlier, you don't have to worry about race too much, the differences are not that big.
My ping is usually between 110 and 135, and I don't really have problems with that on any class. On those rare occasions where my ping is above 200, I usually have desync issues on all classes, so it's hard for me to tell from experience. Maybe have a look at what people said here: forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/26477/higher-ping-class
For brawler dps you will have to buy a skill advancement that reduces aggro, because brawler is a tank that can also dps. This advancement costs 50k or 65k gold, and you'll need to be almost max level to even get the option, so as first character I would chose another dps. Slayer is nice, make sure you learn the rotation once you reached level 65 and you completed the quest-line called "The Two Banquets".
I really like sorcerer, it's fun to play and I do nice dps, but with every class, either you get the play style, and it's easy to learn, or the play style is a bit weird to you and you need to invest more time to learn. You'll have to try the different classes to find out which one is easy for you, but first you'll have to get used to the game in general anyway. I suggest that you just pick classes that look fun to you (as many as you have character slots), and level them to 70. You can always buy more character slots later (from broker, using gold for example), and maybe even go for 1 level 70 of each class, so you can try them switch to another class and later go back and revisit classes. I only found out that I like sorcerer that much after leveling several character to max level, playing sorc for a while, giving up and trying sorc again after a couple of months.
That's what I was trying to explain in the video, in TERA player skill makes most of the difference. So much so that it is almost impossible to find out which class does the highest potential dps. All classes do fine, so don't worry about it, just pick the class you like or are naturally good at, and improve your player skill for that class.
Yeah, would be nicer if there was no gender/race lock, but it makes sense to focus on the most popular races, because it reduces the amount of design work, which is expensive. Usually in big projects, labor cost is the biggest expense.
Elins have a longer reach, and some skills move them further. Male elves have the fastest shield barrage, and amani have racial skills that make surviving a bit easier. Apparently amani males have faster animations than amani females. Found the info above here: tera.fandom.com/wiki/Lancer
Right now there is not much going on in NA TERA because of the incoming publisher change. I hope there will be more people online again after the migration. EU and SAE TERA are a lot more active apparently.
I'm pretty sure I talked about that in this video. All classes can do good damage, if you know how to play. It is impossible to say which one is objectively better, because there is no objective way to compare. TERA is 90% player skill and maybe like 10% class, gear, sa, ep,... difference.
The console game is quite a bit different than the PC version. In general though, the game really only starts when you reach endgame, and it relies a lot on skill. Make sure you learn about how to play your class, and learn dungeon mechanics before you try the dungeon for the first time.
Yes. The population is lower than a few years ago, but the game still gets updates on a regular basis. They converted it from 32bit to 64bit software this year, so it finally runs well. They added a battle arena mode that you can play separately from the rpg game, the rpg game also has changed quite a bit in the past few years, and there is a console version too, which is quite different from the PC version.
i hate MMORPGs where are always some little girls or smal pandas , thats just not authentic fantasy story , i woud like f2p mmorpg without small hentai girls and pandas , something like WoW
Hey YUKATI have you had the chance to try TERA on console? They are updating the game and even restoring old dungeons which were considered lost. They are still working on stuff and pretty slowly but it’s so cool to see the game being active again

Yeah, they made leveling to 65 a lot faster. The tedious part is leveling from 65 to 70 now. It requires a lot of MC spamming.
easy to play classes
tank=brawler
healer=priest
dps=berserker, slayer or reaper
Slayer rotation is actually complex
good luck survive actual hard dungeons on brawler too :^), lancer is easiest tank class tho
I know perfect defense increases dps by a lot, just wondering if there is something about the basic block that I don't know :)
i'd only say, pick whatever the class you want to play, there is no "bad class" or "no bad tank" cause that only matters when it comes into very very endgame play (spoiler alert, all good players quit) devs made every tank and healer equal in a sense as well as well dds,
or just don't bother with this game cause community just sucks in both mentality and skill level
There definately is an easiest class to be good on though. Cant say strongest but easiest for sure.
Its for sure player related, some dps work on rotation cds some more on cooldown priority skill (archer), both sides apply to all classes but in different amounts and rhythms so its hard to say for me berserker is my best :)
these are the safest, more friendly classes for a beginner imo:
tank - brawler
ranged dps - sorc
melee dps - ninja
healer - priest
Justin Zero and they should be nude popori with a huge head.
Lancer is nice. As Eli said, people should try it. Healing is actually a lot more stressful in my opinion.
Wouldn't Archer would a safe one as well
Having a hard debate if I wanna play either Sorcerer, Gunner, or Archer for DPS. (Maxed out Brawler already and I love my Punchy Boi very much.)
I think you'll have to try all three to find out which ranged dps you like most ; ) Yes, brawler is really nice.
if you want to play the easiest class in the game, just go for reaper.
i really miss the old story tbh.
is reaper best . i just started installing the game .
Which is pretty great :3
So basically, all classes can be played as Ellins? Ok got it.
Yes, elins are the most popular race, and elins buy a lot of costumes, so of course they would make every class playable as elin. XD
I hate elins
@@Maverick2736 I blame lolicons
Slayers got nerfed in self-healing, but reapers are just generally overpowered.
This is the one of the reasons why I don't play Tara no more its gender lock on one of my favorite classes
I’m pretty sure Human Females on console (Xbox) can use the Power Fists and Cannon, so maybe another one of these videos for the console version at some point might be a thing.
I don’t expect you to make a bunch of new characters for that though, using viewer footage is fine.
Best class warrior, if you are not a scrub
I've heard that people hate on gunners. Is that true and if so, why?
A big bonus to me though about the class is the fact you basically get a robot ‘skill pet’ if you will, and he heals you etc while no other dps class has a support heal like that.
eeeeeeuuuuuh, GUN!
@@YUKATIGaming Thank you!

@@YUKATIGaming Yes ! Thanks !
i already hate when games have a little kid race, but this game has *multiple* classes that are race and gender locked to being a little girl? no thanks, creepy devs
@@CrisHermetica hello so if u would choose between Warrior vs Ninja your winner is? Just Looking for good dps and maybe in future PvP.

Watch at 1.25x speed yw.
Wow this game looks like a smooth Blade and Soul
I never played Blade and Soul, so I can't compare.
Sadly official PC servers are closing on Thursday morning, so if you'd like to try it on PC, look for a private server like Menma's TERA
at the very end he just beat around the bush the whole time
basically all classes are good with good gear but valkryie dont need nearly as good gear to do a lot of damage. i think sorcerors might be the same as long as you're good at dodging but valkyrie is by far the most op dps. tanks and healers generally rely more on skill than gear.
Returning player from 2016: for pvp what is meta right now? I used to be maxed out on sorc but the changes I disliked back then. How is sorc doing now compared to others in pvp?
I rarely PvP, but as far as I know sorc is still doing well.
There is no bad class in PvP now (expect Valk KEKW)

I guess people who played Elins also happened to be the ones spending most money on costume items. Gunner used to be for Castanic and Elf only, brawler used to be a human female exclusive, and Valkyrie used to be for Castanic Females only, but they slowly added the Elin option to all three.
What's the name of the flying mount at 10:00 ?
Nice video mate! Which class would you recommend for a new player like me?
Any DPS class, because tanks and healers have more responsibility, so it's better if they have some experience in the game already. Which one is easiest to learn is different for everybody. Maybe try a few of them. You have 2 free character slots per server ; )
@@YUKATIGaming nice I will try it out thank you :) !
Which class not to choose: Brawler and slayer.
Oh, why not?
@@YUKATIGaming Brawler is weakest tank which no one wants and slayer deals so little damage they can't even clear hardest content without getting carried or using combat accelerator
One Brawler in my guild does lots of damage in dungeons. People like lancers more because they increase the party dps numbers, and people like seeing big numbers behind their name. Lancers can also save the party with shield or protection, but brawlers can tank just fine as well. And about slayer, you usually see people do relatively low damage, but sometimes you see a slayer that does huge numbers. They are rare, but good slayers exist.
What's ur IGN and server. I'd like to differ about slayers.

i am new , can anyone tell me which is best class that can do high dps and tank and heal ,....
Between ninja and berserker which one would be easier to play since based on these replies you say the classes rely on player skill
I miss Tera so much.
Thanks, but 1 more thing then. Warrior is more tank now or dps? ^^
Warrior is both, tank and dps. It just depends on your Glyphs, Skill Advancements, Cards, and which stance you have activated.

Anfiraɀ and they should be nude popori with a big head.
me and 3 friends are starting this game is party gameplay good and what classes combination do u recommend ?
@@YUKATIGaming thx for the reply so being the more experienced in mmorpgs you think i should go tank ? since it's an important role ?
Hmmm... if your experience will help you depends on the mmorpg you played before maybe, but knowing that mmorpgs require you to actively learn about everything in game, definitely gives you an advantage, so just try it I guess : ) I doubt that having experience in Guild Wars 2 for example will help you fight better in tera though, since combat is a lot more action focused and you have to manually aim in tera.
@@YUKATIGaming i see thanks so might aswell start as a dps to learn the game then make other classes when we have enough knowledge
I literally cant see what's happening

Is a castanic good for priest? What’s the best race for the priest
Which class can solo world bosses?
World bosses are easy to kill now, so all classes can solo them.
@@YUKATIGaming wow really because last time i play last 2019 i cant solo level 65 world bosses for platinum purpose in ps4

Kinda sucks that the reaper is gender locked the armor for a dude would've been dope
Yeah, any gender lock sucks, but by doing that, the devs save a lot of time and money, so I understand why they do it. It's better to release a gender locked class and focus on the most popular race, than to not release a class because it is too expensive.
Maybe it's different for PC I'm lancer I had a choice of any weapon mine has two swords one in each hand and I can only choose female
I'm on ps4
Why can elins use every fucking class it's not fair
Idk games based on elins ig
Is population on consoles better then pc?
I don't have a console so can't tell you if it feels like there are more people or not. I also didn't really find anything using google. Keep in mind though that there are significant differences between pc and console versions. Consoles get their own patches, own gear, and classes are played a bit different, so that it works better with controller. Take that into account too when choosing a platform, or just try both, then decide.
best race for warrior?
It doesn't really matter too much, just play what you like. Setup and player skill make like 99.9%, but if you really want to squeeze out every little bit, then elin for longer reach, castanic for dps warrior cause of 1% crit chance, and male amani for tank due to damage reduction.

Be nice if they give us a male gunner
yeah, it would be nice if there was no gender or race lock, but I don't think they will do that.
new player here, im between slayer and brawler for dps, what do you think?
For brawler dps you will have to buy a skill advancement that reduces aggro, because brawler is a tank that can also dps. This advancement costs 50k or 65k gold, and you'll need to be almost max level to even get the option, so as first character I would chose another dps. Slayer is nice, make sure you learn the rotation once you reached level 65 and you completed the quest-line called "The Two Banquets".
@@YUKATIGaming for you wich classes are the best dps? i love aoe
@@YUKATIGaming yh but so every class is good for damage? i can do with slayer same dmg of sorcerer or valk for example?
That's what I was trying to explain in the video, in TERA player skill makes most of the difference. So much so that it is almost impossible to find out which class does the highest potential dps. All classes do fine, so don't worry about it, just pick the class you like or are naturally good at, and improve your player skill for that class.
the shittiest thing about this game is this "gender/race locked" bullshit
Yeah, would be nicer if there was no gender/race lock, but it makes sense to focus on the most popular races, because it reduces the amount of design work, which is expensive. Usually in big projects, labor cost is the biggest expense.
Big fat gun
I see what you did there

What is the best race for lancer?
Elins have a longer reach, and some skills move them further. Male elves have the fastest shield barrage, and amani have racial skills that make surviving a bit easier. Apparently amani males have faster animations than amani females. Found the info above here: tera.fandom.com/wiki/Lancer
Is this game still lively? Currently trying to mitigate away from BNS because I'm just done with the most bullshit performance game on the planet.

Anyone know best dps? Sorc or warrior?
Which is best in pve :)
I'm pretty sure I talked about that in this video. All classes can do good damage, if you know how to play. It is impossible to say which one is objectively better, because there is no objective way to compare. TERA is 90% player skill and maybe like 10% class, gear, sa, ep,... difference.
I’m downloading this on Xbox? Any help for a beginner ?
The console game is quite a bit different than the PC version. In general though, the game really only starts when you reach endgame, and it relies a lot on skill. Make sure you learn about how to play your class, and learn dungeon mechanics before you try the dungeon for the first time.
Whats ur gt I can help u out im a god on the game

do people even play that game anymore`?
