I struggled with this video. Yes, there is a level of confidence required, but as one comment said below there has to be a level of competency too. You cannot say you believe you will lose weight, therefore you will lose it. You have to be willing to do what it takes to get there. Believing and actioning are two different things. I like Vishen’s stories about failure. I want to hear about people like me, single moms who have struggled to have a loving relationship with men, who have had their houses repossessed, and themselves in the same position once again. Tuesday I had bad news, and I realized the financial struggle which I thought was a thing of the past, may be back again. I’m working on the 6 phase mediation and journaling, to stop history repeating itself.
When a negative thought has you in its undertow, break the circuit. Interrupt the pattern simply by breathing in. Focus your attention elsewhere until the negative thought no longer owns you. You own it.
And you can decide what to do with it. Journal. Walk. Have a conversation with it. Treat it with compassion. Your breath will buy you these options and many more.
