- On todays video we decided to go to the Freeport Jetty to try our luck on some Spanish Mackerels. After doing a few casts, I managed to catch three good size keepers and my girlfriend caught a mangrove snapper. Just when I thought the day was over, something destroyed my spoon on the way in. Whatever it was, it was very strong and I was not expecting it to hit my spoon because it had the original hooks. So, I tried my best on landing this fish and then this happened! What was I supposed to do with it? Lol I don’t eat jacks and don’t have any shark gear anymore to keep it for bait. I was going to throw it back but someone else wanted it so I just gave to him.
@@brandonmolina711 just seeing it bro and cutting off the line. Don't risk yourself and your girl. No coming at you wrong. Just not worth it. You can get really hurt and your girl. Slip, bang against the rocks and be sucked into jetties. Those rocks are slippery will be hard to get up. Happy for you it wasn't that bad but minor. I've gotten hurt and those around me to. For the hunger of fishing and landing it. I tell you for experience it's not worth it. Nice catch, be safe tho
@@JuanG82 I’ve been fishing these jetty’s a lot so I know what to step on and what not to step on. I truly understand where you are coming from and I respect it. If I knew all that would’ve happened I could’ve just cut it but since I saw what it was once he was close to the rock why not just get it and unhook it and get a picture. I can’t just prevent stuff from happening. I’m glad she was good the next day and give that guy the jack. But thanks for the comment.
